Now they are owned by Hangar Prosthetics. There is this ass hat Manager now named Dee Dee. I got a phone call saying they finally came in four months later. This Dee Dee says they bill insurance after the orthotics are delivered to the patient. What company makes orthotics 4 months later never bills the insurance ahead of time??? These people are clueless. I called Aetna and they won't pay the claim. They have 90 days to submit the claim. They want to scam me into picking them up . Hangar no longer excepts insurance only cash. That's why the ownership of Capstone was bought out by Hangar Prosthetics. They want to scam me into a $1000 to pay out of pocket!!!! This damn place is sorry and a crock of crapp! Stay far the hell away from this business!!! read more

Not sure if this is one of those money laundering places or what but seems like they do not want to customers. This is for the Pleasanton office. My husband's PT ordered an ankle foot brace for him. They never called us. We called them 3 times and they never got back. We went back to the PT and let her know they never called. They end up calling us back that day. We went for the appointment and the people were nice. The receptionist didn't seem too busy. She had time to talk with others working there. Luckily our medical insurance covered the $691 charge for the item. Wow, they really up the price on this!!!! Look online and it's more than 1/2 the price of what you can get elsewhere. The office called my husband leaving a message that they "need" to talk with him. We called right back within minutes and it went to voice. They never called back. We've called there 4 more times and still haven't heard back from them. We will go down to the office next week. He needs the brace readjusted. When we go back to the PT, I'll defiantly let them know about their poor service. And I'll try to find out who we call to complain to. Definitely don't go to this place especially the ones in Pleasanton. We used to go here until our CPO moved to another state. My husband was accidentally referred to this location and he regret it. He went in sometime in February and up to date (May 8), he still haven't received his shoes or his orthotics. Just like the other reviewers said, we called and left messages with no one returning our calls. When we do finally get someone, it was routed to a different office. Finally I decided to visit them in person. The receptionist, Ana, came in and had an attitude like as if she had a tough personal morning. When I told her that we been waiting for an update with the orthotics and how we can't get a hold of anyone, she wasn't emphatic or pretend to be one. She just said "we called him on May 9th" and looked at the calendar, like as if she was insinuating that the fault is ours. She was short and abrupt as well. I don't know what happened to this place. It was not this bad 7 years ago. The CPO, Matthew, is nice but the others...nope. It's sad to see this though. read more

I was perscribed orthodics my podiatrist. I went into Capatone to have molds taken for them. They never said how long it would be for the inner soles but the shoes would 6-8 wks. I called after 3 wks and I had to call twice and leave a message twice to get a response. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE and they call back 2-3 days later. Then they telll me it will be 6 wks before the inner soles are back. After 6 wks I called, left a message and now it's been 3 days and no one called me back! Horrible place. Don't waste your time with Capstone! read more

Not sure how this feet stuff works since I'm new to this pain but I will say I had one pair made and just didn't work even after adjustments, they have a warranty for the first month I believe and it just didn't work out with the first mold, so they gladly molded another pair for me no problem, the only problem they got lost in transit long story short they where made regardless and actually better in the the support and mold. I'm still getting them adjusted since they where made but the staff is very friendly and more than willing to help. The building is next to the Eden hospital just about and they are in a building with private parking. Had appointment for foot brace two months ago and provided all insurance info. They made copies. After a month of not hearing from them, I called and they said they never got my insurance info. I gave it to them again. A couple weeks later, I called again. They said they needed copies of both sides of my insurance info. I emailed photos. I still have not heard back from them. read more

I had carpal tunnel and tendonitis a year ago so I chose Capstone since I work as a dme Queen they were professional and courteous they measured my arms and told me to come back to pick both of my hand braces. I came back a week later and tried on my new braces it fit well and eliminated my pain. Patients love this lace too read more

I've been a long-time patient of Capstone and, specifically, Vanessa, my orthotist. Since my first teary-eyed visit (after developing drop foot after trauma to my lower leg) several years ago and continuing through my recent visits, I have always felt supported and genuinely cared for. I have required different styles of leg braces as my leg healed, so I have made several trips back to Capstone. If I could I would give this facility a minus 10. You have to be your own activist here. Started the process on December 17th. All I needed was a knee brace. I constantly was calling to see what was going on. First they blamed everything on my insurance, got that fixed, then they blamed it on the holidays. January 22nd got a call asking me if I still wanted the brace!!! WHAT!!! Of course I do!! Should have stopped and gone elsewhere. Called them again today January 29th to be put on hold ,only to find out my brace was there. I asked how long it had been there but she wanted to put me on hold to check but why I asked??? PLEASE PLEASE DONT COME HERE!! Told my Doctor and he said he's had nothing but complaints about this place. My Husband had two leg braces made from casts started the week after me and he received his braces two weeks after starting his process. Wish I could tell you who did his braces but can't. I was recently overdue for a new prosthetic and was recommended to Bryan at Capstone by a close friend. I was very excited after meeting with him to discuss my needs and wants. Bryan is very enthusiastic about what he does and his positivity about being able to improve my mobility and activity level using new technology in regards to microprocessor controlled knee and new techniques to design the frame left me feeling very optimistic. I have been a through the knee amputee since 1989 and the shape of a knee disarticulations stump is very challenging to fit with a suction socket due to the hourglass shape. Anybody who wears a prosthetic limb knows how important a good fit is to prevent breakdowns on your limb. Bryan went the extra mile (maybe 2) to ensure that I would have a comfortable fit, even seeing me on a saturday while he was in the midst of moving his office. What I have now is the most comfortable, lightweight and stable prosthetic I have worn to date. The Boa frame system that allows me to tighten or loosen the socket if i gain or lose a bit of weight is amazing. The Plie 3 knee (of which i was very sceptical because I tend to break stuff) has been very smooth and stable. It took a bit of getting used to the non stance control but I now feel very secure and confident walking. As a result I am more active and have dropped about 20 pounds in the few months since I took delivery of my new leg. Thanks again Bryan! read more

This place is horrible! The receptionist is very unfriendly and rude. Not only did she treat us bad, but she denied my wife from getting her knee brace. We had to contact our insurance company and even though they sent a letter guaranteeing payment, we were denied again by the same receptionist. The insurance company had to call her and force her to help us, and now that my wife got her knee brace, we're getting billed, even though we have a letter stating that they have been paid! I went here with my sister for her brace before and did not have the best impression. Since we went back for follow ups I have a much better outlook of Capstone. The staff up front now, I believe Sasha and Ashley are beyond wonderful. We were greeted with a Good Morning and smiles which is rare from young people now a days. The clinician was nice and helpful. The manager should be given a pat on the back. This slight change made such a huge difference in my perception of the place. read more
