Took 5hr trip 7-12 today it was awesome. 5 in our party with my 2 grandsons , 9 and 12 yr old. We caught alota fish and the crew were excellent. Highly recommend

This was the most affordable trip we could find and they go the extra mile. We were thrilled to visit Shell island for an hour then drive around and see lots of dolphins. The ship also gives you the opportunity to feed the seagulls, pull up a trap in the middle of the bay to catch critters, and drive the boat. The captain had a big personality and added that extra touch. It ended up being slightly over 3.5 hours.

We were looking for something to do with the grandkids Labor Day weekend and we started looking at this for an adventure. We opted for an evening Sunset Cruise that fit our plans. The cruises depart and return timely. We purchase our tickets online and we picked up our tickets at the window from Portia. The kids had a blast when they got to steer the boat and blow the horn. We also fed the sea gulls and watched the dolphins off the side of the boat. If you get hungry, they had food and snacks below at the counter for purchase. Bathrooms are below. Note to self: come back on your birthday and you get to drive the boat (or at least sit in the Captain's chair)! If the sunset cruise is for you, have your cameras ready because the sunsets are spectacular. This cruise was unexpectedly fun and we will definitely do this again!

I booked the 5 hour morning fishing trip on the North Star Express from Captain Anderson's website. I was able to book this a few days in advance. The trip leaves at 7am and you have to come about 30 min before that to check in. It's $70 per person for fishing. $32 if you're just a rider. The boat was incredibly overcrowded. Once we stopped to fish, everyone's lines were tangled, some were catching and some weren't because there are just too many people. They tell people to basically keep every fish just so at the end it looks like you caught a stringer full. Dumb. I released almost all of mine because they weren't edible fish. I really should've known better, but it was an ok time. I would not book this again. That is for sure.

Such a cool experience! I'm not a fisherman at all but we caught 7 fish! A lot of people caught fish on our journey! There was groups of Mahi Mahi following us so we just catching them! The deckhands were really patient with us and helped a lot! We really enjoyed it!

We came at the very beginning of the fishing season, so we didn't get a whole lot of fish, but we had an absolute blast! Make sure to bring cash for snacks, beer, and tips. I bought a ticket for my fiancé to fish and I just bought a rider's ticket. We were allowed to switch back and forth reeling in fish. We had a great day.

Nightmare... trip from hell! Our family goes on multiple deep sea fishing trips per year. Never in our years of fishing have we experienced a trip like this. We booked a 10 hour deep sea fishing trip on 4/4/19. We booked this trip a week before departure. Not knowing that a storm with high winds would be hitting that day. A couple days before we found out that the weather did not look so good so we called and asked them if we could change it to another day. We were told not to worry if the weather was bad they would cancel the trip and reimburse us or book us on another day. They said if there is rough seas they would not leave the port. That was not the case.... When we got there it was as a little Windy not so bad. As soon as the boat left the bay into open water the wave started to get bigger and the sea stared to get rough! We were hit with over 12 foot waves and THEY DID NOT CANCEL THE TRIP OR TURN BACK!! My husband and my son's 14 year old freind Almost flew out of the boat. The rocking was so bad an older gentleman fell backwards on the deck! There was vomit all over the bathroom toilets and floor! When we got back to the port my husband went to the office with other passengers demanding our money back we were told that the owner is not there and she could not give our money back .After explaining to her that we are here from out of state she proceeds to gave him a hand written note on plain copy paper offering him 50% off his next trip that expires next month!! Needless to say we did not get what we paid for what we got was a trip from hell! Captain Anderson's charter License should be suspended! They should not be permitted to operate when they put the safety of the passengers in jeopardy just so they don't cancel a trip and lose money! If somebody would have actually fell off the boat and drowned this would be a whole different story luckily it only ended this way..... Hate to even give them 1 star but no option for zero star!!!

Went on a 10 hour fishing trip today and caught between my husband and I three silver type of fish and 18 B-liners! Had them cleaned and only received two of the silver fish and 12 of the b-liners. They rip you off. Make sure you count your fish in front of them and count your fish when you get them back! Thieves!

It's always been a dream of mine to go ocean fishing and today my dream came true! I caught a triggerfish and many vermilion snappers and there were many dolphin sightings along the way. I'm so glad another charter service recommended Captain Anderson's, the experienced rom start to finish was top notch! The staff was great, Zander, my assigned deck hand went above and beyond, he had a great attitude, answered all of my questions and worked his tail off from the time we left the dock until we returned. I also have to mention too, Savannah was a sweetheart and kept me company since I was solo. I will definitely come back and do another trip next time we're in PCB.

Bryson with the remora he caught.

Our family of 8 did the 5 hr. afternoon deep-sea fishing trip yesterday after our original fishing trip was canceled by the captain (different company.) The boat can take 75, but luckily there were only about 20 people on our trip so we had plenty of room and attention. We caught about 30 red fish and even a remora (threw him back of course but not before we grabbed an awesome photo of him suctioned to the arm of the man that caught him,Our deck hand helper was Seth and took GREAT care of us (sorry about the tangled lines Seth!!!)

The daytime cruise is a great time for both adults and kids! The crew was entertaining and…read moreaccommodating, and although the dolphins were being shy the day we cruised, the captain stayed in contact with other boats and managed to find where the dolphins were hiding out. For the kids, they were allowed to drive the boat a bit (under supervision), had squirt gun fights, temporary tattoos, and pulled up a crab trap to let the kids (safely) handle a live crab. My 6 year old grandson loved it! We will likely return next year.

My husband and I booked our Sea Screamer Dolphin Cruise for 12:15pm( it was raining earlier, but…read morehad finally cleared up). We liked that there were plenty of seats on the dock to sit in wait ( first come first serve for your group). When it was time to load, we got our picture taken (pictures are $10), and loaded on to the boat. We sat behind the food/ drinks area in the front row. Unfortunately, because of the weather we only saw 1 pod of dolphins and everyone ran to the side of the boat and we were not able to get a photo. We did enjoy the boat ride and learning the history of the area. The staff, captains, and everyone working on board had excellent customer service, they were entertaining and made the experience enjoyable. All of the food and drinks on board are under $5! So loved how affordable it was. I would say that this cruise was definitely for kids and families. They had a lot of kids activities and we were in the middle of all of it, which is fine- but I think that families should be aware of where most of the entertainment is or what sections to sit in and people who don't have kids can sit or elderly so they don't get run into. For the kids, each child gets a turn to steer the boat in the bay, we got to go to bird island ( and we're swarmed by birds- so if you don't like birds I would not do this cruise), they sell food for you to buy and the birds will eat it out of your hand. Then, the other boat pulled up next to ours and the kids hand a huge water gun fight and got soaked. We had to move out of the way. There are no towels on board so bring your own- but they drive fast after so you can dry off! Last, they caught a crab trap from the ocean they had put out and brought on 2 blue crabs and 1 spider crab, and all of the kids got to hold them. We also enjoyed the mix of music and that it wasn't too loud. If you go on the sea screamer and have kids sit by the snack and drink area under the covering behind the captain for the best experience. If you don't have kids or don't want to do the interactive stuff sit in the front or back.
