We've done many snorkel trips on all of the islands. And the crew on Captain Bob's was by far the most interactive and friendly. Captain Shy, Tyson and the others were the best. They really take an interest in you're having a safe and great time. Volleyball on the sand bar was a first for us and fun. We saw Honu, and lots of fish. I'd definitely recommend these guys for a fun half days trip. Oh!! And the burgers were fantastic!

This is from Captain Bob's picnic sail.

41 people on the boat so not overly loaded. Problem only the captain and 2 crew to help all the passengers. They told us that there was strong tide around the reef. This was not true. I think it was to discourage novice snorkelers from wandering far from the boat. There was no way to quickly get to someone if they were having problems. Lunch was hamburgers and a vegetarian option. I don't recommend this trip even though the crew on board were pleasant. They did say that they were short staffed but that should not affect the cruise for the people who did the picnic sail. Maybe lower the passenger numbers if not adequate crew members.

Fantastic day spent with a great crew! I would do it again! Got to see turtles, Manta rays and a huge variety of other fish species. Crew was super kind and patient and fun! Highly recommend!

We booked a 6 hour experience to the sandbar during our trip to Oahu and had a great time! Pick up and drop off in Waikiki is provided as part of the experience - we had to walk a bit to get to our pick up and drop off location but the bus was new, great AC, comfy seats. Ride to the pier took about 45 min through the mountain, the pier itself and boat weren't anything too impressive but the crew was super friendly and a great time. Lunch was included and it was a burger and some sides - there is a vegetarian option. Sadly the pineapple was not fresh and this was a bit disappointing but food was ok all considering. Alcoholic Drinks are available for purchase $5 each and included beers, hard seltzers and boxed wine. If using a credit card, $20 4 drink minimum purchase. First stop was to the sandbar - crew set up a volleyball net and took pics for everyone. Next we motored our a bit and saw some epic turtles. Then we continued to a reef area for snorkeling - definitely the best snorkeling we've ever done - coral had a ton of tropical fish and turtles. Overall, we were a bit sad the experience didn't include any SUP or kayaking but overall it was a fantastic day trip, great crew and definitely worth the price (we booked directly on the website for $161/pp)

My family recommended this tour to us and I am so grateful they did. The staff treat you like family, the excursion is hands down one of the best you can book. I have zero complaints other than the time flies too fast when you're having fun. Because of the kindness and knowledge and hospitality I'd say book it, enjoy it and TIP the staff. If you do any excursion in Honolulu, this is the one! Shout out to Capt.IGGY TYSON AND THE FIRST Mate!!! Cheeeeeeehooooooooooooo!

My family had a wonderful day out on the Kaneohe Bay with Cpt. Bob's Picnic Sail. The crew were especially awesome. Tyson was the best! I highly recommend this excursion for a fun day out on the sand bar and for awesome snorkeling! My kids are 5&8 and they both loved it. They both also enjoyed the snorkeling and seeing all the amazing fish etc.

    A beautiful day.

Absolutely, an enjoyable tour to take. You will not regret. There are two main activities, 1. Kane'ohe Sandbar, you can walk around in the middle of the ocean. The best place to take pictures. 2. Snorkeling. Having a burger at the middle of the ocean without the boat rocking is the best. I will try this tour again. The staff are very friendly. A great experience for kids also.

The picnic sail was a lot of fun. Our original sail date was rainy so I sent an email a couple days before asking to reschedule. They were very accommodating and we ended up going on a Friday instead of originally scheduled Monday. Pick up from a hotel next door was vey convenient and quick. The bus was comfy. Driver was excellent. The boat was nice. Service was great. Food was good. Crew was super friendly, helpful and had great customer service. Shout out to Mike for serving drinks and chatting with us. The sandbar was fun. We all played volleyball. Bring a football to throw around if you have one. We saw a few turtles going to the second spot. Then had a good time snorkeling. Lots of coral, not that many fish. All in all a great day. (Bring cash tip for the crew, they deserved it!)

They ensured everyone got to see turtles and in fact they headed a participant back just when we were being called back to the boat after discovering he didn't get to see turtles. We did SUP and floated around and my son had a super soaker battle with some of the other boat passengers. The snorkeling was great....we saw multiple turtles and fish and an octopus! We have snorkled many times, but they gave us very good instructions on how to put on equipment. I appreciated the anti-fog spritz which we have never gotten on any other snorkel tour. They also had lots of good snacks (chips, fruit, drinks, spam musubi), and even a bucket of fresh water for a post-snorkel shower! The sandbar was incredible. I had the hesitation to book it due to the fact my son is on the spectrum and wasn't sure how he was going to react during the experience. Took the chance and made a reservation through Hawaii Ocean Sports. They took us on a boat to access the beautiful Sandbar. It's nestled in the middle of the ocean 3 miles stretch of sand. Unfortunately, we ended up doing the afternoon tour where high tides took place water level up to our necks. During our ride there, we were served lunch consisting of a turkey sandwich, fruits, and a cookie. Very filling as we were on to our destination while we listened to live music entertaining us along the way. Snacks, towels, drinks, and a bar are available for additional cost. As we approached the Sandbar, we were required to do a brief safety class before heading into the beautiful water. My kids and I were surprised how magnificent the Sandbar was. Definitely a true paradise where our dreams came true. I didn't think I would ever experience this kind of beauty. My son and I were terrified at first as we entered the water, but our life jackets saved us as we were floating. Lots of activities offered which are part of the package including SUP, kayaking, volleyball, snorkeling, or relaxing at the dock while sipping on drinks. We mainly enjoyed ourselves floating in the ocean. The current did get a little rough as it started to pour rain right before heading back to the marina. One advice is to head out early onto the boat before everyone does because the changing and bathrooms can get wet with dirty grounds. Music was blasting with great hits as we ended the day. Made my son and I stand up desiring to dance. Truly this is an unforgettable magical experience. You bet I will make a reservation again when we return to Oahu next year!
