    Friday Waikiki Fireworks
    Toby T.

Aloha Sails Waikiki is simply the best way to cruise the Oahu South Shore. They offer Sunset Sail, Scuba, Friday Fireworks, Whale Watching and Private Charter. They dock at the west direction of the Hawaii Prince Hotel. It's a BYOB food and drink boat. They don't allow you to consume alcohol before you swim in the ocean, but you can drink after. What I love most is that the space between you and the ocean is a just a few feet, so you can see fish, turtles and sometimes dolphins or whales! The larger boats really don't offer you this up close experience. The staff is amazing and they know so much about the ocean and the wonderful creatures that live in it. Try the sunset sail (my favorite) or the Friday fireworks sail for the best view of the popular annual event at the Hilton.

I've called Hawai'i home for over 15 years and have been on my fair share of catamarans, sailboats, sunset cruises, & submarines. Mike and his crew at Aloha Sails Waikiki are welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable ocean-lovers that engage with their customers and care about their experience. It doesn't matter if you were born and raised here, kama'aina transplant, or a wide-eyed sun-kissed tourist--Aloha Sails Waikiki is the crew to go with if you're looking for a wonderful experience out on the water. My Family is visiting from the continent and will definitely be going on a sunset cruise with Aloha Sails Waikiki.

Super cool crew slash bartenders! Boat is right outside of Dukes and people do line up to snag a good seat. Check in is by first name. Two drinks included. If you're already drunk they won't let you on the boat. You may get wet depending where you sit. I came in beach clothes, others in dinner attire. The ride out was cool and then coming back in to watch the sunset was over the top. They stopped the boat next to the other Aloha boat while we waited for the sun to set while jamming to great music. *Please tip the crew! They announced it but many just ignored it. Sunset sail with Aloha Sails highly recommended.

I have been on BOTH the afternoon / sunet sail and the Friday night fireworks sail. Wow, just WOW!! The crew is very accommodating and happy from the start! They have wonderful music playing and even lend out snorkeling equipment including fins and life vests/floaties. The crew is very knowledgable - so don't hesitate to ask them questions. I will always turn to Aloha Sails Waikiki for any/all of my future sailing events. And guess what's more?. . . They will even private charter for you or your event! Got an office party, birthday, anniversary? Just call and ask them. I completely agree with their name because they do share the ALOHA!!

Unforgettable Bachelorette for the books + Waikīkī Fireworks! I recently celebrated one of my best friend's bachelorette party aboard Aloha Sails Waikīkī on a Friday night fireworks charter, and it was absolutely PERFECT. From the moment we arrived at the dock at 1Holomoana St (just west of the Prince Waikīkī's valet area) we felt well-informed and welcomed. They advise arriving 45 minutes early, which we did, and parking was easy: $1/hour marina street or Prince Hotel lot. The charter itself runs for 1.5 hours, just long enough to enjoy the evening's vibe, take in the coastline, and catch the dazzling Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks show from the water. Our private group of about 15 felt completely pampered yet relaxed aboard their spacious catamaran (private charters can accommodate 30max) The crew treated us like royalty! super friendly and polished. They had a speaker system on board and let us play Dj! They even facilitated last-minute group selfies. When the fireworks started, we had front-row seats from the middle of the harbor. It felt cinematic and intimate, so much better than from the beach amongst the crowds. Definitely an elevated experience. For a special celebration like a bachelorette on Friday night, this is hands-down the best way to go. The mix of scenic sailing, personalized service, and the breathtaking fireworks made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And with their byob and snack options you can customize your experience anyway you want! Highly recommend Aloha Sails Waikīkī for any group wanting memorable fun on the water!

Awesome cruise ride, definitely booking again next trip! Crew friendly and nice! Fireworks were amazing! Thank you captain and crew!

Next time if we have family reunion here, I must rent the whole boat with their crew for an unforgettable trip sailing near Waikiki.

Multiple guests were getting seasick, as the Captain tried his best to navigate the waters. One guest nearly fainted and after that, the atmosphere on the boat changed. The Captain wasn't talking much and it seemed as if he just wanted to get back to the dock. Knowing the weather conditions, I wish the tour was rescheduled. We saw some fish and barely saw a turtle. I know the tour doesn't guarantee seeing wildlife, but it was disappointing hardly seeing anything in the glass bottom. To add, the glass bottom is just 4 boxes that you have to peek over to see. I didn't get seasick, so it was still nice to be out on the water and enjoying the views of the ocean. Prior to the incident, the captain was very educational and funny. Overall, had the tour been on a different day with more permitting weather, I think it would've been great.

From the moment we arrived, their team demonstrated a level of professionalism that immediately stood out. The check-in process was seamless, the safety briefing was clear and thorough, and the equipment was in excellent condition. You could tell they run a tight operation -- everything felt structured, efficient, and well thought out without ever feeling rushed. What truly elevated the experience was how intellectual the tour felt. The guides weren't just there to point out turtles; they shared fascinating insights about marine ecosystems, turtle behavior, conservation efforts, and local oceanography. Their knowledge added so much depth to the adventure. It felt like a marine biology mini-masterclass -- but one where you're actively swimming through the lesson. And speaking of active -- this is not a passive, float-around experience (which we loved). As a very active couple, we appreciated the energy and pace. There was plenty of swimming, exploring, and maneuvering through the water, and the guides kept the vibe upbeat and engaging the entire time. They matched our enthusiasm and made sure we got the most out of every moment in the water. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant, and full of positive energy. The team clearly loves what they do, and that enthusiasm is contagious. We left feeling exhilarated, accomplished, and genuinely grateful for such a well-run adventure--we left having seen many turtles, Hawaiian spinner dolphins, a stingray and plenty of fish in a natural setting. If you're the kind of couple that prefers movement over lounging, learning over just observing, and meaningful experiences over generic tours -- Island Splash Turtle Tours is absolutely worth it. Professional. Knowledgeable. Energetic. And incredibly fun. We would book again in a heartbeat.

Once we got out on the water, the experience was unforgettable. We swam with colorful fish and sea turtles, saw dolphins, and even got to see false killer whales. It was truly a great day out at sea. The crew was exceptional: Capt. Dani, Ben, Faavae, Kania, Roxanne, Kirra, Bernard, and Keely all made the trip special. Keely deserves a special shout-out! The crew provided educational facts, acted as lifeguards, served food and drinks, and even danced, making the whole experience fun, safe, and memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an incredible ocean adventure in Hawai'i. Great service, beautiful wildlife, and an outstanding crew!

This tour is very misleading online snd I want to make sure ppl know what they are signing up for…read more The staff was wonderful and very organized. But despite being called a "Dolphin and You" tour, there is only dolphin WATCHING from the boat -- no swimming with dolphins. They also only stop at one snorkel spot in shallow waters.m whereas most companies have you snorkel at 2. Maybe if I had never been on another tour, I would have thought this was good, but I'd only recommend this for people who want to mainly watch things from the boat and not snorkel. I honestly saw more marine life where I live in OC. On a previous tour with a different company, I swam in waters where dolphins were swimming all around and underneath me -- it was a core memory, and I was hoping to recreate that experience. They also don't let you swim very far from the boat, which made the experience feel overly restrictive. Because the website is not clear I will lay down the iternary: 6:00am pick-up from hotel (about 1.5 hrs to get there) Restroom stop at Fareharbor 1 hr dolphin watching--basically your just on a boat 1 hr snorkel--will see sparse fish 1 hr return--will give you sandwich and water cups no water bottles, temporary tattoo offered Return to hotel: another 1.5 hrs to drop everyone off etc Kind of waste of money $180+ and my precious vacation time. Also, be wary of the reviews. They offer incentives for leaving one. Sorry, but as a Yelp Elite, my honest opinion can't be bought.

Being the first boat out in the morning makes a huge difference. The ocean was calm, conditions were excellent, and we weren't surrounded by multiple tour boats. For long stretches it genuinely felt like we had the reef to ourselves. Sam and Ella were in-cred-ible. Professional, knowledgeable, and very clearly people who love what they do. They struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still letting everyone enjoy the experience naturally. We felt extremely safe the entire time, and they were just genuinely joyful humans to spend the morning with. And I have to mention the turtles. We saw at least eight. Not just in the distance-- they were everywhere. Below us in the reef, gliding past us at the surface, popping up for air unexpectedly. At one point we were actively looking around just to make sure we weren't about to bump into one. Also...calling them "little" would be inaccurate. Some of these turtles were big-- absolutely stunning animals. Swimming alongside them, surrounded by hundreds of reef fish, was one of those rare travel moments that sticks with you.
