If you want it done right, do it yourself!

After being sold sour seafood I decided to do it myself. The inside smells like they have a sewage problem or maybe it's all the old seafood they frying up, masking it with their powder "seasoning". You've been warned but if you order here don't add the "seasoning" and see for yourself. The young lady at the register was super sweet and warm. The rest of the older staff were cussing up a storm venting about a customer presumably and the manager was hiding in the office and refused to come to the front to take my complaint. At that point I just demanded a refund and left. Went to Kroger and purchased the items for cheaper than that $16 slop. I think most of their consistent customers don't read the reviews or look at the pictures bc there are 2 separate instances where a German roach was on the chicken. Actually fried into one piece of chicken. They need to be shut down! These types of Asian owned places don't give af about black ppl regardless of the fact their wealth comes from us. My fish tastes so fresh and I didn't even need to count my shrimp bc a whole bag cost the price of their measly dinner portion. I will leave yall with this lesson all our elders taught us: "If you want something done right do it yourself

it was as expected. Walking in the restaurant the smell is not appetizing at all. After about a three minute ways, someone finally agreed at me and asked me if I was putting in an order or picking up. They seem really busy with drive-through orders and also seem to be on point with making sure the orders were correct. My food was handed to me and fresh. I ordered a fried fish sandwich with nice fries. I was so hungry. I forgot to take a picture of it it was two full layers of fish served on and two slices of bread with Fries surrounding. Again it was as expected but nothing to write about if I'm craving fish again. I would definitely come back.

What the heck is this! We saw this advertised on a big billboard once we first landed in Atlanta and were so hungry that we came here prior to doing any research. I thought we were gonna get some good southern seafood, but we just got fish was a truck load of seasoning instead. The inside was incredibly janky, and we should've ran away at our first sight of that.

We always hear great things about this place and wow they did not disappoint. The hubby and I had perch with chicken wings and catfish. We loved how the fish and wings were fried hard. We asked for extra seasoning, which is a must. The lady behind the window was super nice considering how long it took us to decide what we wanted. We also had the frozen lemonades which I didn't care too much for but my husband liked it. I look forward to trying this place again once we move to ATL!

While visiting Atlanta, I had a taste for fried fish. JJ Fish & Chicken was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and the food was fresh and tasty! While the fried whiting was maybe fried a little too long the chicken wings and French Fries were perfect. The seasoning was also 10/10. To wash it down I had a watermelon lemonade that was very good also. I'll definitely be back.

You know what to expect here, it has been years since I went and just felt necessary to share food has not been decent, wings are alot smaller and seemed to have be recooked as some parts were chewy. Very off experience and all the signs were simply hilarious, all FAQS are posted to streamline their process and I can't be mad about that.

WARNING- know what you want before you get in the drive-thru line! The guy that walks around taking orders shows no mercy! He will rush you and won't give you time to look at the menu before placing your order! The whole drive-thru set up is insane! There are two lines that feed into one, and it's directed by two armed security guards! What the heck is going on over there?! This was my second time having fish from JJ's but my first time at this location. Unfortunately the food here fell flat for me. The fish was fried so hard that we could barely eat it. They also sprinkle some type of seasoning on your food (MSG maybe) which made it all extremely salty. I should've judged this book by the cover and went somewhere else!

The food was amazing I ordered the 6 piece whole wing special. The fries were crispy and amazing the wings were too I normally don't use hot sauce but when the chicken that good you feel the need to razz it up with some. They urged me to try the lemonade it was good too. I'll be back to try something else but overall this was a hit. The service was great the people were friendly

I have seen this place and other locations but never gave it any thought. My friend brought me the cat fish and fries and I enjoyed it. So when I had the urge for fried chicken it was a no brainer to head over to JJ Fish and Chicken. I was a novice as I noticed other patrons coming and saying give me the number this give me the number that while I was like can you add this or can you add that to the order . Anyhow, the fried chicken was slapping.

I've only ordered from the drive through. In the last 16 days, I've probably been here three or four times. You can review my from the Pryor Rd location and see that I have no complaints about the food. I will say this, unless you just have to have fries, I suggest substituting them for hush puppies or extra cole slaw. Their cole slaw is delicious, but they only give you a couple fork fulls in the small container that comes with the combos/dinners. The drive through can be wrapped around the building, but it moves at a average pace for food that is being prepared to order. I also suggest, check your food, in the times I've been my order was wrong twice so they have about a 50% average on giving me the right food at the drive through I've told myself I was not coming back for at least a month, so if anyone is going, I recommend the 20pc shrimp, substitute fries for hushpuppies and go with the Peach soda. They have Faygo

We parked behind the building and a woman who worked there had the door open. She had on a shirt that read Legalize being Black. My husband had on a Black Lives Matter shirt, & I had on a Juneteenth shirt. She smiled and raised her fist at us as we asked to enter through the door and we responded in kind. I love us! She toke U.S. to grab a menu as we walked in to the right of the bar. We found a high top and found what we wanted and went to the counter to order. The prices are reasonable until you get to adding the sides. I overheard another worker tell a couple who ordered after us to order the veggie plate if they were getting 4 sides as it was cheaper. I wish the person who took our order had told use that. The entrees are à la carte and priced reasonably. The sides are $5 each with a few exceptions, a hoecake is $2 and mac & cheese and a couple other sides are $6. Keep that in mind when you come. Our total for our inside dining with a can of ginger ale, fountain Diet Coke, & tip was like $70+ & the to go order for our son's meal w/o a drink was ~$30. It's definitely a good value if you only need an entree and have sides already. The food is good and has large pieces of meat & decent portions so there you go... I ordered the fried green tomatoes as a starter, smoked beef brisket with the barbecue sauce on the side, smoked turkey cabbage, dressing, & the lemon pound cake. Ironically, the fried green tomatoes came out last. They were piping hot though. They could've used a dash of salt but that cornmeal batter was perfection on the tomatoes. You get 3 and 1 was cut a little too thick and it was slightly mushy maybe cause it had to cook longer? But it was still good. The beef brisket was good. It's sliced thin and had that good smoke flavor and was seasoned well. The thicker slices could've been a bit more tender but overall it could rival some barbecue joints. The dressing was good and so was the cabbage, though it was almost tad bit saltier than I'd like. I'd order everything I had again. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my food. You know not everyone who claims to cook southern food can do so. Oh the pound cake was good and moist. It reminds me of Sammy Chhesecake pound cake. My husband ordered the 3 pieces of fried chicken, collard greens & they do have a lil kick as the menu suggests, green beans, & yellow rice. He was pleasantly surprised with how big the pieces of chicken were. Nowadays people give you what looks like pigeon parts ‍. He said it was a tad salty. He said he also enjoyed his meal otherwise. I forgot to get pictures of the food for our son's takeout order of fried pork chops, collard greens, mac & cheese, & a hoecake. He liked his food as well but also said his pork chops, which were nice size center cut, were well seasoned, but a little too much. He enjoyed the meal and his 1st hoecake. They also do catering and seemed to have a large catering order being prepared to go out. The restaurant & woman's restroom was clean. The staff were friendly and quickly acknowledged us. The music was good but it would've been good to hear a mix of old school with the hip hop since it was Juneteenth. They have a full bar. The only thing I didn't like was Fox News & another conservative news channel on; at least not on JuneteenthZ a generic movie or TV show would've been better for me anyway. They had a steady stream of to go orders and in person dining. I guess we're just late to know about

What made this situation even worse was the way the manager handled it. Instead of showing concern, taking responsibility, or making a genuine effort to help resolve the issue, he was dismissive, spoke to me in an unprofessional manner in front of other customers, and ultimately walked away while I was still trying to discuss what had happened. I understand that mistakes can happen, but losing an item that had already been found and acknowledged by staff is a serious issue. More importantly, the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism shown by management was unacceptable. No customer should be treated with disrespect, especially when trying to recover a valuable personal item. I hope the company reviews its lost-and-found procedures and provides better customer service training to its management team. My experience left me feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and completely unsupported.

I was skeptical at first after being fairly new in Georgia and hearing horror stories of restaurant bangarangs The oxtails were slow-cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and falling right off the bone, drenched in a rich, well-seasoned brown gravy that had layers of flavor you can taste in every bite. This is the kind of oxtail that tells you the cook knows what they're doing. I was sucking the bones like it was my last meal. The rice and peas were fluffy and perfectly balanced, soaking up that gravy like they were meant to. The fried plantains were sweet, golden, and fried just right not dry, not greasy. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q…read more Fox Bros. has that hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint feel, but with plenty of space to hang out. There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. I'd happily come back--I'd just skip the 3 meat sampler next time and order more of that brisket!

Always get a peach cobbler, too. Service is about as fast as it can be given how busy they can be!

My wife, stepdaughter, son-in-law, and I stopped by Pit Boss BBQ while passing through Atlanta…read more I had the pulled chicken BBQ sandwich along with the dry rub wings. The pulled chicken sandwich was good, but unfortunately the wings were a disappointment. They lacked flavor and weren't enjoyable enough for me to finish. My wife and son-in-law both had the pulled pork and thought it was good. My stepdaughter ordered the brisket and described it as just "okay." The service was underwhelming. The staff didn't seem particularly interested in helping, and the self-serve ice machine repeatedly jammed. The dining area also could have used a little more attention to cleanliness. Overall, the food ranged from okay to good, but nothing stood out enough to make us want to come back. With so many great BBQ options around Atlanta, I'd recommend trying somewhere else.
