From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome. The owners were in house, and boy was I glad I stopped in. I started asking questions about this and that and he answered every question with a smile on his face, letting me know his favorites, best sellers, etc. I chose the Cajun pasta with chicken and added shrimp, slice of garlic bread and a big ole piece of chocolate cake, washed down with a Cherry Coke and let me tell you...it was the best meal I've had in Atlanta! This was my first time stopping in here, but I've been to the ATL a bunch through the years, from high end to hole in the wall places, North to South of the city, but I'll be stopping in here again on my next time through. Located about 10 minutes from the airport it was perfect to grab dinner to go on my way to my hotel. The gentleman and I talked travel, food, football as I waited and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation but what I didn't know was his wife was kicking up some of the best Cajun pasta I've ever eaten! Sorry man, she is the star of the show! I had perfectly cooked shrimp, mixed it with a hearty portion of chicken but the Cajun sauce was perfection. If I could give this place a 10 star, I definitely would. Found this place while searching Yelp for seafood options in the area. We ordered the fried shrimp basket, fried oysters, fried grouper, hush puppies and a cup of gumbo; all were delicious. The fried items were made fresh to order. The establishment is take out only, so we just ate in our car. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and learned they've been open for only a few months. With food this good, I hope more people come out and support them. The service was amazing. The cashier was very nice and the place looks super clean. So I was really craving some fried shrimp lately and my other half wanted Catfish - specifically fried in a cornmeal style breading to give it that extra crispy edge. Had been reading about Champs and did a "pull up" I have to say ... it's impressive, feels nice new and clean inside and the young lady that helped us was really sweet...took our order and was realistic on how long it would take - made to order btw..Food came out hot and fresh - my shrimp were everything I had been craving...hot, nice size and crunchy came with fries and I also ordered a side of slaw and hush puppies for the full experience. The slaw was good, the hush puppies were ok - they were the only thing served that wasn't hot - so maybe I won't get those again- I'm told the Catfish was good - but he would have liked the breading to be a bit more on the crispy side. I do recommend this place and would go back - just know it's a carry out only kind of place - nowhere to sit. So because I wanted my food HOT I ate in the car ....LOL - country ?? Today I decided to try a new restaurant that just opened. The place was completely empty, yet I waited over 40 minutes for my food. I couldn't understand why the wait was so long. While waiting, I ordered the gumbo and asked if it could come out quickly. When I received it, the rice was undercooked and had a strange taste. I politely informed the owner that I was dissatisfied and asked if she could replace it with gumbo only--no rice. She told me she couldn't do that. I then asked for a refund for that dish since it was inedible, but she dismissed the request and walked away. Later, she came out and said there was an issue with their steamer, which explained the problem with the food. However, she was the one who recommended that dish to me in the first place, so I was confused as to why she didn't mention the equipment issue earlier. I started to feel like the recommendation was more about pushing a high-priced item than customer satisfaction. In total, I spent over $50 and 40 minutes for a very disappointing experience. I then asked the woman at the counter if the other owner could provide a refund. When he came out, he was rude and aggressive. As a business owner myself, I would never treat a customer like that--especially one giving honest and constructive feedback. The wife stated that they don't give refunds, even when the issue is on their end. That policy, especially when paired with their behavior, is absolutely unacceptable. What shocked me most was that the male owner questioned whether I even had money or ran a business--simply because I made a private, respectful complaint. Later, I checked online and saw that other customers had reported similar issues, which confirmed my concerns. To add to the strange experience, the girl at the front--who was very sweet--gave me her number after I placed my order and asked me to call her. It seemed like she was eager to leave the job, and now I understand why. We as Black business owners need to normalize accepting constructive criticism instead of attacking customers for sharing their experiences. I asked for a refund--and instead, I was insulted. Also my seafood boils was full of oil and uncooked. I believe there's some issues going on with their steamer. The owner stated they had it turnt off. I was very excited to give this place a try since I'm a seafood lover. I'm soo disappointed. However, I wish them the best in business. Time is hard. You have to appreciate every customer that comes to your establishment to patronize. You never know what blessings is walking in. She also made a religious remark! I'm God connect to God. My heart is very close to him. I praying for the people who believe they are God on earth. read more

Great service. Exactly what you want in a take out seafood spot. I had the shrimp and oysters. Very pleased. The coleslaw was pretty good. You can tell they make it on site. As promised, we returned for the full menu experience. We ordered Catfish baskets and added oysters and fried shrimp. The fried shrimp were as tasty as we expected. The catfish was not our fave. The coating has a sweet flavor, almost like hush puppy taste, that we did not prefer. Not sure if the coating is the same as the shrimp, it does not fare well w fish, if so. The oysters were fried way too HARD, like cracklings almost, that was disappointing. Also, had a piece of carrot cake, not my fave. Friendly service, by E is always a joy! Ist time at this brand new take out restaurant. It's clean and inviting and the staff was friendly. I ordered shrimps, macaroni and cheese, vegetable medley,and rice. Somehow they forgot to give me the rice but when I called them they apologized and said they would make it up to me the next time. There will be a next time for the food was flesh and delicious. The shrimps were jumbo size,lightly breaded and good the mac& cheese tasty and the vegetable medley was surprisingly different and full of flavor . The entire meal screamed eat me. Somebody is lying ! Idk how these ppl got 5 stars but my experience today, definitely doesn't get that . Let's starts off with , I've called at least 10 times & not 1 answer. I finally just go in & come to find out, they no longer sell blue crabs. So I just order the snow crab & shrimp ! The worst mistake . The shrimp was 2/10 & the crab was over boiled ! Taste just like boiled water, cold, & flavorless. Yess they do provide a sauce on top but it doesn't taste like much. On top of that I ordered a drink that I didn't get. A true waste of $40 !
