All You Can Eat Ribs
Dextin M.

I have a confession to make: ribs are not my favorite meat to enjoy. I know shocking and the truth is I never liked eating around the bone, so I always chose to go with boneless, but after I visited Sonny's BBQ, I think it's safe to say I might start changing my mind about ribs because the food was exceptionally delicious, the service was amazing (our waitress was always ready to serve us with the best customer service), and the ambience was very relaxed and chill. Yes, I definitely will be revisiting this location for it's interior eating. Another fact is that this Sonny's BBQ is the one we often select to feed us when we're at home, choose bbq, and choose the option of not going to visit and eat but to have it picked up and we eat it at the house. It's always delicious, there's always leftovers, and there's just enough to feed a family of four. I highly recommend it.

Another great visit. It has been several years since I have visited this location. This location was remodeled about six years ago and still looks to be quite clean. I was in the area and stopped in for lunch. I recognized a few of the servers, something you do not see a lot these days. I was sat quickly and ordered my food. Within a few minutes, I was enjoying tender thinly sliced bbq pork, fresh coleslaw and backed beans. Everything was really good. As with almost everything today, the portion size looked much smaller than I remember. As I was enjoying the pork so much, I did have to order another side of meat. I did not mind as that serving was also fresh and delicious. I also ordered a sample plate to go. Smoked turkey, sliced pork, ribs and two sides. Unfortunately, my side of coleslaw was not in the bag. The menu picture had three ribs, but there were only two in the box. I would return.

Visted Sonny's BBQ today for a take-out. I've eaten inside a few times, as well. We always order an individual Sonny's sampler @$21.39 with 3 meats, 2 sides, and cornbread or garlic bread. We think it's worth it because they usually give generous portions and the food is always good. The cornbread, tonight, was questionably dry, tho. But, otherwise we both enjoyed our dinner. I really like being greeted when I arrive and they ALWAY do, as well as, say goodnight. Rare for service in the Atlanta area. They always makes us feel really welcomed. Always great customer service!!!

Visited Sonny's after having trouble trying to eat at two other restaurants on what I thought should be a pretty slow Tuesday. I'm very glad things went the way they did because my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed having lunch here! It wasn't too busy and we were seated quickly upon arrival. I enjoyed the food so much and definitely did plan to return so I can try some of the other options and the desserts. The service was up to par and our food came out faster than I expected (they had up now hiring signage so I assumed it would take a while but it definitely did not). I also had the eggroll appetizer (not pictured) and it was delicious as well!

I am a rib lover's. My friend suggested coming here and boy it didn't disappoint. I fell in love and DYRIA is probably the BEST server I've had in a very long time. Please give her a raise or something. I WILL be back!!!

Pretty good Sonny! We ordered a to-go order for the 4th of July. I was a little skeptical since they were fairly busy, but my skepticism was soon dissipated. We ordered ribs, Mac and cheese, baked beans, fries, chicken, potato salad, and green beans. Ribs-Flavorful and already cut (Which is very nice). They were a touch on the tough side, but nothing to gripe about to hard. The BBQ sauce added a nice compliment to the flavor profile. BUY Chicken-Very tender but needed a bit more seasoning. The flavor was decent but didn't knock my socks off by any means. AVOID. Mac and Cheese. Decent flavor consistency for restaurant style mac&cheese. It's not your grandmas, but it's more like stouffers. It'll be fine as a fill-in if you don't want to make your own. BUY Baked beans-Bangin. The beans had the right consistency with a Smokey flavor. BUY Green Beans-tasted fresh, pretty good. BUY Potato Salad- pretty good, just a standard potato salad. BUY Fries-crinkle cut. Similar to zaxbys fries. BUY And lastly, that garlic bread that comes with the food is BOMB BOMB! We are usually not a bready bunch, but we could not stop eating it lol. The bread was nearly the first "dish" that was gone! Great job Sonny's. We will be back!

Redneck Egg Rolls

I'll be honest.....I came for the reviews I saw on these egg rolls and THEY AIN'T LIE! I wasn't fortunate to grill this 4th of July, but Sonny held your boy down for sure. I went through the drive through and I did have a wait as you do with anything that's worth waiting for. I Definitely recommend you come visit if you don't get invited to the cookout or you just not cooking.

My husband and I love this place. They have really good BBQ and as a born and raised Texan I know good BBQ. It's hard to find good BBQ outside of Texas. The only cons I would say are their brisket is a little tough and dry, sausage is dry, and their BBQ beans are disgusting tasting. I don't know what they put in those beans for flavor but they should stop. I had to drive around looking for some good BBQ beans which is impossible to find in Atlanta. They all taste like Bush's baked beans. We always get curbside takeout as we are still in a pandemic but the lady that serviced me was very warm and nice. Can't wait to go back.

There seems to be plenty of parking on the street as well as the lot behind the building. It was around noon when I arrived and they were serving their brunch menu. I had the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit that came with eggs and a side of grits. The biscuit was large, soft, and toasted and the fried chicken on top crisp and seasoned well. It was sweet from the honey. The eggs (I had them scrambled) were fine, but nothing remarkable. The grits were quite spicy for my taste, but I'm a wimp from the Midwest so they were probably great. I enjoyed everything. I would have liked an unsweetened iced tea, but only sweet tea was available. I had a fountain soft drink instead of. The restaurant was light and airy. The furniture was a bit worn and the dishes were plain white plastic but on the whole it was a lovely place. My server was pleasant and attentive.

There is also street parking. Wait to be seated. Best to have a reservation during peak hours. Weekend brunch and evenings I imagine to be busy. QR code menu. NOTE if you go during brunch and you get a cocktail from the menu you won't see the prices for brunch. That is part of the reason for the low rating. Even though the drink menu says the days and hours for those prices, you have to ask for the after those hours. The menu has your typical southern brunch flare with a twist. The drink menu is good. I ordered the impossible burger slider, it doesn't come with anything. Just two sliders. I ordered the potatoes. Even though the sliders were decent. It was a little salty. Presentation was good. Watermelon savage. I also tried the scrambled eggs - way too salty. It was inedible. My brunch partner didn't like the grits or chicken biscuit that it came with. Service was fine. Decor and atmosphere was nice. Overall, it was decent. It seems like a nice place to grab drinks and catch a vibe or be the vibe. Gratuity is included. Overall, decent spot. Oh and there is outdoor seating that includes a stage.

We made reservations for the 6 of us, and upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff. There was a line of people waiting to be seated, so we were concerned about having to wait since we were heading to the airport. We had a brief waiting period before being seated. Jasmine D, our server was prompt and very personable. The menu was full of delectable choices for brunch or lunch. We ordered the Very Berry French Toast, Chix & Pancakes & bacon, Jerk Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles, and a Kids Cheese Scramble & bacon and grits. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was attentive and patient with us the entire time we were there. If you're looking for great food, a great welcoming down home ambiance and are in the area, The Breakfast Boys is a great place to go, but make reservations! Sometimes, a lady just wants a cocktail…read more Summary: Good spot. Would visit again. In this economy, you're going to spend more than you'd like. The strip mall entrance and parking a bit of a challenge. Full review below: I went in Saturday afternoon. It was lightly busy but fully staffed so help/attention came quick. Dining solo so I opted for a seat at the bar. Bartender was super attentive. Didn't have to wait long for a menu or to place my order. Also, she regularly checked in on how everything was. I ordered the Yellow Diamond Martini ($15) and it was delicious. I got the fried green tomatoes (4 pieces) for $11.95. Complimentary very tall cup of water. The tomatoes were a little small so this is definitely an appetizer/light snack...which is A-OK for me. It came out shortly after my martini was ready. Overall, minus tip, it came to $29. Music was playing through a speaker but not too loud. People could comfortably have a conversation. There are multiple tvs throughout. I appreciated that some of them were showing stuff other than sports. One monitor, near the restroom, is devoted to Culturistic Kitchen content, which is smart. I did use the restroom. It's two stalls and two sinks. The non-handicap/ADA stall is tiny. I'm like a medium-sized woman who is 5'7 and even I was like yikes. When the place is busy/packed I could see a wait or a line for the bathroom. The one major downside...which is not Culturistic Kitchen's fault is that the strip mall is not easy to get out of and onto the main road (Jodeco Rd) especially if you're turning left. The parking lots for all the shops, which are great businesses, should be bigger than it is. Don't be surprised if, during peak times, you may have to park 1-2 doors down from the restaurant. Overall, I would go again. I don't go out to eat that often (there's food at the house ) but if I want a good cocktail and a light snack or try some of their regular food items, I would come again. More than likely, I'd choose an off-peak time because I wouldn't want to experience it at near full capacity but that's just me.

There were a few tables available and the hostess allowed us to select where we wanted to sit. There is a bar and hookah's are available. The restroom was clean and there was more than one stall. I personally prefer the shrimp and will try the salmon during my next visit. The pasta doesn't come with a protein. The downside is each protein you add costs an additional $10. The portion was huge. So, if you don't eat a lot, order one serving of Rasta Pasta and add the proteins that the two of you would like to try and it's an inexpensive date!

Andrea and Dezzy were absolute stars, the kind of service that makes you feel like you've found your new spot. They're the reason I came back again the following week. That third visit had a few bumps. The service wasn't quite up to the usual standard, but I'm giving them grace. Every restaurant has an off night. I kicked things off with the Shrimp Aglio + Olio, which is unbelievably good. I've had plenty of versions of this dish, but this one wins by a mile. The focaccia is divine, and the garlic butter deserves its own award. The Grilled Caesar is not your average Caesar. The char on the romaine gives it a smoky depth, the capers add the perfect crunch, and pairing it with the salmon keeps it light while letting the housemade dressing shine. I'm not big on the drinks, but the Berry Me in Tequila is the standout. Dessert sealed the deal. The Madagascar Vanilla Bean gelato is creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. And the Tiramisu Classico? Shockingly good, and I usually avoid tiramisu altogether. The music is a whole vibe, and it doesn't matter if you're inside or out, the energy follows you everywhere.
