Absolutely unacceptable experience. I have never been treated so disrespectfully over something as simple as asking for extra ketchup. The employee at the drive-thru window had an unbelievably rude attitude, slammed the window shut in my face, and acted as if basic customer service was too much to ask. What made it worse was the manager's complete lack of professionalism. Instead of correcting the situation, they were dismissive and unhelpful. Clearly, poor behavior is tolerated here. This location has serious customer service issues. If you value being treated with basic respect, I strongly suggest going somewhere else. So I was just trying to get some food, I live right in the area and my family and I always get food from there. I saw new faces and knew it was going to be poor customer service. The cashier was nice and polite but the two cooks and manager literally refused to service me. They locked the doors at 8:45 pm on a Thursday and pretended like they were closed on the inside. The two cooks basically made fun of me because I didn't have an vehicle. I was told that I couldn't order at the window as if it was some fine dining restaurant. EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A VEHICLE should know that they think it's funny, will make fun of you and will NOT take your order. That's exactly why snappers has more customers and business since they don't DISCRIMINATE on how you arrive at their establishment. So the food is actually good here. For the longest I kept confusing it for Hooks and haven't heard that many pleasant things about it. However someone told me this place was good so I decided to try it. First and foremost if you've been to Snappers or Lemon Peppers, you've basically been here too. It's the same type of food with the same type of seasoning. What I wish once of them would do is offer crinkle fries instead of these straight, grease soaking fries that they like to serve. I promise I'll be your best customer. It's why I love House of Crab so much. In addition, there conch salad is delicious. Better than my favorite Snapper's location conch salad. Surprisingly the drive thru attendant was very nice and respectful. With these places it can really be a hit and miss situation sometimes. Typical fried seafood restaurant and I really like it!! I ordered shrimp, fried conch, conch balls, corn nuggets, bbq wings, fries and their special drink called "The Flop" (sweet tea, fruit punch and lemonade mix) Everything was tasty and fried fresh. The fried conch could used more seasoning as is was bland without the special sauce the serve it with. Service was ok but I had to repeat my order 3 times at the drive thru speaker. I didn't say anything because I've worked at a fast food restaurant before. So I understand the stress of it all. Probably would go back for the drink and conch balls. HANDS DOWN !!!!!! the conch was cooked to perfection. it was so fresh and sooooooo good. a great portion for the price. the wings were perfectly cooked. Stopped in for lunch. 95% fried foods. They do have salads and conch salad. On Friday they close from 1:45 to 2:45 for prayer so I was not able to eat my food at the restaurant because they were closing during that time. The people behind the counter were very nice. The brothers are always friendly and nice.. You can't go wrong with anything in the menu. I drive from Central Broward to Dade County for the food here!! I always get the grouper dinner with fries and Xtra Lemon Pepper seasoning. Everything is freshly made nothing is heated back up or waiting. The batter they use to fry it is pretty much the same batter for everything so all your food taste like everything...and nothing miraculously at the same time. Since I've passed this place 100 times or more I thought I'd stop in to give it a try. I ordered the fried shrimp and conch platter for my granddaughter and me for dinner. After going home and eating it we both woke up in the early morning with mad stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. If you've had food poisoning before, many times, then you know exactly what it is when you get it again. Since this food was the only food that we both consumed that night, it didn't require much thought to know what caused us to get sick. When I called the manager later that day, he said, and I quote, "It couldn't have been our food since no one else called". Took no responsibility even after I explained that that's all we ate. Well now that I see that they don't give a damn about public health and safety, I will never eat here again. And if y'all do get sick after eating their food, don't be afraid to complain to them. The food is not the freshest! Ordered fried conch , fried shrimp and fries dinner. I also ordered corn nuggets and conch balls. Had to remind the attendant that it was pouring rain out..but with her attitude she chided me that I have to stop at the drive thru until she acknowledges me to take my order number! I did say I am picking up an order but SHE SAYS THAT I HAVE TO GIVE HER MY ORDER NUMBER!!! WTH? IT'S POURING RAIN OUT!! Seriously???
