Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with them for my wedding. I did a hair trial, twice, and never liked the up do. I ended up on the day of my wedding just to do my hair down and curled as I was never satisfied or happy with the up do during the trial and I was nervous that I wouldn't like it. All of my bridesmaids ended up doing their hair down and curled as well but one of them. She ended up taking her up do down and redoing it as she was not happy with it. Fortunately she's a hair stylist and was able to do something on her own. I was moderately satisfied with the curls in my hair and my bridesmaids. Captivate did an AMAZING job! I cannot recommend them enough. If you are getting married - hire this team! They came to my mother's farm to help me, 6 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, and the MOB get ready for my wedding. Everyone's hair and makeup looked so gorgeous and everyone was really happy with how their hair and makeup turned out (lots of selfies taken). No one's makeup faded or melted and no one's hair fell. The pictures I have seen so far are stunning. My hair is incredibly hard to style and even hard to get to stay curled, but Aleigha styled it gorgeous and held it up all day (through some rain) and all night. This was a terrible experience. The rude lady tried to cut my hair with equipment that was covered in hair from the previous customer. I asked her to clean them off and she freaked out. She proceeded to buzz my head instead of the haircut I asked for and left it patchy. I asked her to even it out and she told me to get out. Leaving me with an unfinished cut. I will never frequent this dump again and no other men should. I can't speak to the whole staff, but this woman was horrible. read more

The event was at Lynn Britt cabin in Snow Mass Village. They did our wedding party and all the women looked great. Some women had hair and makeup at the hotel, while others had it at the venue. We were all happy with the results. The bride loved the trial. And now has decided to use them for her regular hair appointments. She went to Castle Creek and loved the shop. We had hair and makeup for the bridal party and the moms. The moms just got makeup. I will say the makeup looked great for the wedding and the after party. I can't say enough about the Captivate team and how much they contributed to our big day. We are from Houston and planned a wedding in Beaver Creek, CO. That, in itself, presents a unique set of challenges. We had only one trip planned up to Colorado about 5 months before our wedding to get several things accomplished. Bailey was able to easily set up a time for a hair and makeup trial run. She took her time, listened to my requests and did a fabulous job! Over the course of the months leading up to the wedding, I changed my mind on the hairstyle and chatted with Bailey about it. She offered a new style, which I loved, and advice on hair piece ideas. She was super laidback, fun and most of all knew what she was doing. On the day of the wedding, there was a huge backup on the way to Avon and would have put us behind schedule to get myself and 3 moms ready. Highly recommend!!! I found Captivate from a search on the Knot and after having inquiry meetings with 7 different beauty service teams around the metro, I decided to schedule a hair trial with Sydni. My mom was also in town, and asked for a make-up trial for herself; Sydni had no problems with this, and during the session was really patient and answered all of the questions. She had some ideas and suggestions for my hair style as well, since I was a bit torn. The trial went wonderfully, and I confirmed on the spot we would use her for the big day. She was proactive in confirming details leading up to the wedding, including the hotel room (where we were getting ready), payment options and amounts, and offered to address any last minute questions. Sydni and the second stylist arrived promptly at 530am to get started, the earliest start time they've ever had! They immediately got to work and did back to back hair and make-up styles for everyone without a break! Sydni followed us over to the venue a few minutes away for final getting-ready things like adding flowers to my hair and touching up my make-up for pictures.
