Hair by Tonya, I came in in the process of blending gray, I needed some touch up in the front low lights highlights low lights highlights in the back. She wound up putting a Maui bleach on the back of my hair and turned it orange. I could not tell in the lighting and she never said a word. When my friends and colleagues saw me they couldn't believe it. I reached out to her. I wanted resolution, I felt I should be refunded since now I have to pay a fortune to have corrective color done and she refused to acknowledge me and tried to say it was my shampoo and conditioner. Which by the way is Kerastse high quality product color safe. I had only washed my hair three times and all the low lights pulled out. Do not go to Tanya for color of any type. She tried to tell me she had 20 years experience. I can assure you nobody with 20 years of experience of doing color would have done what she did to my hair. Please see attached photos. read more

Julie is great. I booked a manicure and pedicure with her for a wedding based on a friend's recommendation. She's usually fully booked so I was glad she could accommodate me. I knew I wanted a red polish and a natural look but other than that I had no specifics. She suggested a round nail instead of a square cut and that was fine with me. She efficiently shaped my nails and prepped them for polish. Applied the coats and we were done. My pedicure came with a massage and hot stone rub which I'd never experienced before. It was interesting. The massage chair was nice too and her seat was adjustable to a degree so I could enjoy some of it even though I'm smaller in stature. She has a lot of polish colors and I quickly found a red color I liked. The wedding was a week away and I was concerned about the polish staying on as I'm very clumsy and usually polishes don't last on me. But I'm happy to report that with care, the polish lasted until the wedding and is still on a week after that. So I would recommend her. She and her daughter, who's training to be a stylist too, are friendly and professional. The salon has parking right in front or there's parking on the other side of the street. It is clean and well lit and everyone seems nice. Would recommend. read more

I have seen Angela for my haircut for 15 years. I have a typical guy cut, but it's more about the friendship. Just being able to walk in, get the same cut and not worry about it is worth it. She treats me nice and I appreciate her for always fitting me in, even when I've forgotten to make an appointment. Just the sweetest Lady ever. read more

I lived here in Castle Rock for over 2 years, and been going to Kokoro Salon all this time. I had many highlights done there but only ONCE I was very satisfied with her skills. Well, finally my last visit with her, she messed up my hair. I went in with blonde highlights to retouch, and walked out with brown hair!!! She had the nerve to blame my hair I am so thankful for finding Melinda, who is not only GREAT at what she does, but she is professional, reasonable, and very knowledgeable!! I highly recommend her!!!! Thank you Melinda!! Your the best!! Also, thank you for fixing the mistake that a supposedly Level 5 beautician did to my hair!! You definitely know your stuff!! This salon is very beautiful, clean and a professional atmosphere. It was so pleasant and relaxing being in this atmosphere. It was nice being able to have a sincere conversation with my stylist and not have to hear her complain about all her customers. I am so grateful for making that change!!! She went the extra mile to calm my nerves and explained the whole process from taking my black dyed hair to the smoky balayage of my dreams. I highly suggest you see her! Just completed a haircut for myself and my daughter with Wendi. We were 10 minutes late, to which I apologized, however she was still with a client when we arrived, so I know she hadn't been waiting for us - we had to wait another 10 minutes. She was texting and very distracted during my entire cut, continuously checking her apple watch. Used absolutely ZERO product on my hair. I had to mention it would look better with product - to which she asked if I wanted hairspray. My daughter's cut: my daughter has extremely thick & curly hair, which I mentioned multiple times. It REQUIRES product to avoid becoming frizzy. Not only did she not put an ounce of product on her hair, either, but she flat-ironed her hair BEFORE cutting it. At NO POINT was any thought given to her daily hairstyle of curly. I even showed her multiple photos of my daughter with her curly hair - no attention was paid nor mention of what to expect curly. I'm a little worried how it's going to look when it's at LEAST 1/2-1 full inch shorter with her everyday look. She's 11 years old. We don't have time to flat iron every day!! She was very distracted and I felt like we were a bother, being in her chair. As first-time clients, I was HIGHLY disappointed. We won't be returning. read more

Wendi has been coloring/highlighting my hair for several years now. I have brown hair that tends to get brassy with highlights.
