Best dentist in Naperville! As someone who is slightly scared of the dentist, I am thankful every person in the office went above and beyond to make my appointment comfortable and welcoming. The receptionist, Dawn has a delightful personality. She was kind, considerate, and informative. She advised me of their dental plan which is definitely worth signing up for because it saves their patients money and is a rare, excellent benefit this office offers. I do not have enough kind words for Julie, who was my dental hygienist. She put my nerves at ease, answered every question I had, and most importantly was gentle and thorough. Dr. Foxson is an expert and I was thrilled he had knowledge of my Sjogren's Syndrome. Unfortunately, the majority of dental professionals I have seen are not aware of this autoimmune disease which highly affects the mouth, teeth, gums, etc. I felt confident in his ability and found him trustworthy and intelligent. My dad was my dentist until he retired. He was a perfectionist and created beautiful crowns and dentures for his patients, focusing on the shape of each restoration as well as color. While I never needed a crown or dentures, I did chip a few teeth that needed minor restoration; my dentist dad took as much care with these simple repairs as he did with major restorations. I recently chipped one of these restorations and had it repaired by a dentist who was NOT a perfectionist and I was extremely disappointed with the appearance of the repair. I then saw Dr. Paul Caputo, who replaced the poorly done repair. Dr. Caputo took the time ro make sure I was completely happy with the restoration, both in appearance and to make sure my "bite" was perfect! The biggest compliment I can give to Dr. Caputo is that he took care of my restoration exactly as my dad would have! From me, this is the highest praise I can offer! All seemed kind in the beginning gave them lots of high dollar business. Too much turnover in dentists. Got a brand new dentist to the practice who fancied himself a comedian and was bad at that and fillings. He caused me terrible pain! Also nobody answers the emergency line ever! I suffered from a filling that was improperly placed. I couldn't eat or drink anything for days without pain. Dr.C seems to be good but difficult to get in to see him due to his limited hours for the average 9-5 working person. I was told that he was going to charge the other dentist for having to correct said work it was very clearly stated and then they billed me anyway months later. It was written off as he truly did say that. I guess it was something he was thinking and should have not said out loud! I got the rudest message from staff member Carrie who was oblivious to the no charge comment and argued with me about why I felt I did not need to pay for service used terms such as appease and said they came directly from Dr. Caputo. It was really shocking actually after all the pain they caused me! Then she tried to blame the confusion on me. Nobody needs to suffer that much pain and then be verbally abused by office staff! I am done with this office and would say BEWARE if you go there. read more

Yesterday I woke up practically screaming in pain from a throbbing tooth. I instinctively knew I needed a root canal and was desperate for relief. My regular dentist was completely ignoring the 3-4 messages I'd left on their answering machine...which is one of the MANY reasons I've been meaning to get a new dentist but haven't gotten around to doing it. As my pain worsened and my frustration grew, I randomly called Dr. Caputo's office because I knew people in my neighborhood who used him and liked him. Plus, the office is literally about a mile from my house. A very friendly and sympathetic woman named Kerry (sp?) answered the phone and graciously offered to sneak me in right away. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and assured that I would be taken care of. I began to relax. Unfortunately, there was a snafu with my insurance and Kerry VERY sweetly informed me that they would be happy to help me but that my insurance would not pay. I was so frustrated and miserable at this point that my eyes welled up. I explained that my "regular" dentist was not returning my phone calls and I didn't know what to do. Kerry got up, went to the phone and called my dentist on my behalf! The next thing I knew, I was given an immediate appointment and was on my way to relief! Today, after a tortuous day of pain and an emergency root canal, I feel much better! But I really think OUTSTANDING customer service needs to be applauded in this day and age so I wrote this review. If the front office people are any indication of the kind of dentist Dr. Caputo is then he MUST be awesome! If my insurance plan ever changes, Dr. Caputo is definitely going to be my next dentist!
