My family and I have been seeing Dr. Sun for many years. Dr. Sun is wonderful, professional and caring provider. I started seeing Dr. Sun as a college student and now as a doctor myself in NYC I still make sure to make a stop in for a check up whenever I am in town. Dr. Sun always takes the time to check in to see how I am doing in my life while providing excellent dental care. The staff are also very efficient. I have never had long waits while in the clinic even if I am put into the schedule last minute for extra procedures since I am from out of town. I highly recommend Dr. Sun to all those in the area! Our only negative comment is that we are very sad that Karin our previous hygienist has retired. She was the best! read more

Long story short recently another practice had done a root canal and there were some post complications, and I got in touch with Dr. Sun and she helped me navigate and figure out the whole situation on email and text messages. She even replied on Sunday because my extraction was scheduled for Monday early morning hours. She is dedicated. Very knowledgeable. Helpful. Straight shooter. Dr. Sun is definitely the best dentist that I've ever met in my life over half a century. She is so friendly, kind, CARING and well-informed about the state-of-the-art facilities. I am so satisfied with the dental work she gave to me. Her staff are so nice as well. They kindly explain the procedure and the expense to me, who is not familiar with the dentistry in this country. I had a great first-time experience with White Eagle Family Dentist. Brenda was my hygienist and she took very good care of me. She answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease (I usually hate the dentist). Doctor Sun was also very kind and knowledgeable and she seemed to truly care about me and my dental health. Everything was clean and everyone was very friendly. I also appreciate their COVID screening process and procedures. I felt safe and in good hands. Dr. Sun is the most AMAZING and NICEST dentist ever!! She is very gentle and really knows her stuff (Harvard trained!!) I had a lot of bad experiences with expensive dentists in Naperville who were rude or didn't know what they were talking about (one told me I needed a root canal-- I got a second opinion and they were completely wrong!) So I'm writing this review because I've finally found a wonderful dentist! Anyway, the staff is so friendly and always takes time to answer any questions I have. They even have massaging dental chairs :P I even heard another patient say that they get better sleep after their dental appointments b.c it is so relaxing! The visit was okay, typical dentist appointment. The horrible part was billing. I inquired at the office, if I would receive any further bills after the visit. The receptionist promised I wouldn't. The FOLLOWING year, I received a bill of $24, ignored the bill. It was a year later and I thought it was a mistake due to the fact the receptionist promised me no additional cost, insurance covered everything. Decided to go to a different dentist, requested my ex rays to be sent to the new dentist. The same receptionist stated she is unable to send ex rays, there is a $80 balance. WHAT? It went from $0 to $24 to $80. That is horrible! I visited them in 2015 it is now 2018.... read more

Wow! Dr Sun was a wonderful "find" for me. I was delighted to become her patient. When you think about what you want in a good dentist, she's got it! She's well educated (Harvard), caring, concerned for others, and she's got a very efficiently run office. Each person with whom I've had contact, shares these characteristics. Scheduling is easy and when you come in, there's very little time spent waiting. But, I never feel like I'm being rushed along when I'm with the hygienist or Dr Sun. read more

Dr. Sun and her hygienists are the best. I moved to the area less than a year ago and have had two routine visits already. I worked at a dental office previously so I'm very picky when it comes to dentists. Dr. Sun is very nice and seems to have a genuine interest in her patients. I had the same hygienist both times and she made me feel comfortable. My husband, who is terrified of dentists, has also seen Dr. Sun and he really likes her as well. They are open until 8pm one night a week which is perfect for my husband. No need to take time off work, can't beat that. The front desk staff is very friendly and the girl seems very knowledgeable about insurance pricing and procedures. Definitely recommend for anyone putting off those six month cleanings! read more

Wow! This dental office recently came up in conversation and I thought, let me see if my review was removed. Not to my surprise, it has been! I never post reviews, good or bad ones but this disgusted me and I had to share it so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. My daughter went in for a cleaning that I paid for out of pocket. They told me she had a lot of cavities and asked if I wanted to take care of it that day. I had a questionable feeling because my daughter has never had cavities so I said no and told myself I'd get a second opinion. I then took her to 1st Family Dental near Fox Valley and guess what? She did not have one cavity!!! I can only assume that because I paid out of pocket the Doctor at White Eagle Dental was taking advantage. I'd never go back nor would I recommend! If this gets deleted again I will re post and continue to share! People need to know and this needs to stop! read more

My husband and I switched to Dr. Sun in 2012, and we are both very pleased with her and her entire staff. She gave our 4-year-old his first dental exam, and he now looks forward to going to the dentist! The technicians are friendly and informative, and Dr. Sun has a wonderful disposition and really knows what she's doing. She fixed a few bad crowns that were done by another dentist, as well as finding a temporary filling that had been in place for over a year (we were never told by the other dentist that it was a temporary). The offices are modern and clean, and there is ample parking right outside the door. After years of bad experiences with other dentists, we are happy to have found Dr. Sun and White Eagle Family Dentistry. read more

Dr. Sun is very gentle and thorough. I thought it would be impossible to find a good dentist. My wife found Dr. Sun online and told me her experience was excellent. I had had doubts but later had the same experience. I felt Dr. Sun was honest and really took the time to explain in detail why I needed / didn't need work done. I could have been easily taken advantage of with what I expected the dentist to say. I have not been to the dentist in years due to lack of insurance and had about 3 holes in my teeth I was worried about. She explained that some of my fillings came loose and my oral hygiene was not as bad as I had expected. She went over the x-rays with me and eased my tensions. I was very comfortable there. I felt she had a real concern for me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Sun and have already recommended one of my close friends to her. He has an appointment soon and I'm sure he will be pleased. Dr. Sun and her staff are always so friendly! I've never been a big fan of going to the dentist but I definitely don't dread coming here like I have with dental offices in the past. The front desk is very easy to work with and welcomes me with a smile. The hygienists do a great job; I've never had a bad conversation with any of them and I feel they finish in a timely manner as well as hit all my checkpoints in a cleaning! Each time I've had more serious work done the assistants have been lovely and very accommodating/understanding that I'm a little nervous (which helps a lot!) And Dr. Sun is definitely one of sweetest dentists I've ever had, plus she's great at what she does! My teeth have been looking and feeling great since I've started going here. read more

I can't understand how this dentist got 5 stars reviews. This dentist recommended me to do a root canal, which I scheduled with her. Instead of having the procedure done, she replaced an old filling that I had in the tooth that has basically caused the initial issue, saying that the filling that I had is close to the nerves but not touching them, gave me amoxicilin and told me to see me in two months to check if my infection has gone. A month after I am starting to have pain again and the gum under the tooth is swollen, I called the office, and Dr Sun refused to see me, and wanted to refer me on the phone to another doctor. I feel like the root canal is something that she can't do but is afraid to say so, but instead she did another procedure. I've almost forgot to mention the waiting time, prepare to waste at least 30 mins in your schedule. The experience there was really bad, rude staff. read more

Dr. Sun has been my dentist for as long as I can remember (at least 15+ years). She is always so nice, and she remembers everything about your life! It's like you're her only patient. She's amazing.
