I can't fully express how impressed I am by this company. I contacted this company, and others, in order to get an estimate to have a decent sized project done for my car- install an alarm system, stereo system, backup camera, and an aftermarket cruise control system. I communicated with the store manager, Bash, who is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and honest- all the characteristics you want in a business front man. What especially impressed me about Bash was his deep knowledge, not only on the sales side of the project, but on the technical installation side as well. As a result, I was able to efficiently get all of my technical and sales questions answered directly from Bash in an honest, straightforward, and common sense way. I really appreciated this about Bash, and so I decided to move forward on the project with Car Audio Express. But what really amazed me about the company was what they did during the installation. The alarm system, sound system, and backup camera were all installed perfectly, with no issues at all. However, after they installed the aftermarket cruise control system, the check engine light kept getting triggered (which we later learned, was a defective component of the cruise control system). WITHOUT NEEDING ME TO GET INVOLVED AT ALL (other than informing me of the situation and asking for approval to move forward), Bash and his team 1) contacted the cruise control manufacturer directly; 2) worked with the manufacturer to determine that it was a defective harness to the cruise control system; 3) had the manufacturer overnight a new harness directly to the store (all costs covered by the manufacturer); and 4) installed the new harness and made the cruise control system work perfectly. This was so above and beyond what I had expected from any business. The problem with the cruise control was not their fault at all, and getting it resolved could have been an incredibly annoying situation for me, but this store handled everything and made it literally painless, AT NO EXTRA COST! In my mind, the way this business handled my project and especially, the cruise control system, makes them the BEST OF THE BEST. And Bash can truly teach a MasterClass in customer service. For my daughter's Subaru XV Crosstrek Limited with upgraded stock Kicker speakers, we had an Alpine iLX - W670 and an Infinity BaseLink Mini installed with retained factory steering wheel controls and rearview camera. This place is really cool place. They have really high end product and I come here for a bunch of my audio and car electronic needs. However the service you receive when you come to this place is absolutely horrible. I rather go to a autozone and deal with those guys instead of coming here. Every time I come into this establishment I get a negative vibe. The guy who is up front seems like he hates the world and kinda takes it out on customers. Never been to a business that tells you "we don't give out advice" when you ask for some guidance. Customer service needs to improve big time. First off, Bashir is amazing, this was probably one of the only compustar authorized dealer that would give the time of day to me in terms of quotes. I believe there are around 6-7 authorized dealers within a ~20-30 mile radius of me (excluding Best Buys of course). However, a lot of them refused to give me a quote (even when I gave them specific options such as the model number on the controller, add-ons, and even a few remotes for different prices). I had to go in for many of them (Which honestly kind of irked me because one of the other dealers even made me spend 2 hours at their store just to get a basic quote). During covid I would have expected a lot more to be more willing to give quotes over yelp (otherwise I'm not sure why the other stores are even accepting Yelp Quotes). Anyways, besides Bashir (and Car Audio Express) being the most helpful in terms of finding a quote, and finding the exact stuff I need, service, appointment and after-install support was great. Always professional from the start when I was looking for quotes and exactly what I needed (and had a bit of a delay due to my car delivery) to walking in and even when I had post-install questions. Overall, since the install was fairly quickly, installer went over the basics with me, and I even had questions regarding the alarm a few days later (and needing to change one of the installed settings which was a ~5-10 minute visit) I'd highly recommend based on the service I received alone. In terms of price, of course, you do get what you pay for, the quote I received was not the cheapest by any means but was also not the most expensive so it is indeed finding a balance between price and quality/service which I think is present here. read more
