Back in 2016, I purchased from car audio express a jl audio xd4004/4v2 amp, jl audio 5g wiring kit and a audio control lc6i. Price and labor were fine. The reason I bout this was to upgrade the existing amp, sound as I wasn't happy with it. Now up to date, 2024 I needed to replace a front speaker because of a previous bad install. So after replacing both front speakers and adding more dynomat I realized there was way to much bass distortion. So, I then went rhru the pita of removing rear seat to make adjustments to the amp. Well, I started to investigate how to set up and pair the LC8i with the jl audio amp. I found out that the system they installed for me was not done correctly at all as far as setting the gains on the lc8i to the amp. After I followed Audio Controls set up method I found the whole system including my sub sounds 50% better than what Car Audio Express did. I'm guessing that installer no longer works there, but really disappointed in that I didn't try to get low bid and I specifically, at that time, instilled in them that I wanted a professional set up, to tune system as best it could be.. Which I did not get. The installer basically set everything to a middle point and called it good. As you can also see, there was way too much insulation removed. read more

He has selected good brands to support and promote. * Realization: Despite trying my best to provide Bashir and Ricardo (tuner) with sample songs, headphones, and a description of the sound I was looking for, it took a revisit for a tuning session to get the sound from about 50% OK from the original tune to 90% very good. I had a after market back up camera installed years ago along with a Kenwood deck with Android auto included. The camera for some reason stopped working recently and I took in to Bashir to get it fixed or replaced.
