Bad business, they don't want to help view with an issue I had with my car cause they were "booked today" . I had someone else call them for a speaker install then all of a sudden "they have time". Slimey ash. Also their work is subpar, the installation was not professional.

They set me for an appointment at 9am on Sunday, waited outside the shop till 10:10am and the shop was still closed. Unprofessional waste of time and gas, not to mention they originally quoted me $250 for the job, after I mentioned how other shops quoted me cheaper they significantly dropped the price to $120 (Over a 50% price drop), I ended up going to another shop that charged me even less than $120. If I would have not done my research they would have tried to get the most money out of me possible! STEER CLEAR FROM THEIR SHADY BUSINESS, SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Once again i returned to THE ONLY car stereo shop in SD i trust and once again Adam came through like always. I purchased a new head unit for my birthday and Adam and crew got it in without any issues same day-i even got a new back up cam with it! because of my own operator error, I did not think it had the Apple Car Play i hoped for. Adam insisted on doing what it took to make me happy with my new stereo and asked me to come by the next day for a personalized tutorial that i did not have time for the day of installation. After being shown how to get Car Play working, it confirmed i made the right decision by sticking with the only "above and beyond" service car stereo shop in SD . Thanks again Adam!

Huge shout out to Adam, Mike and Wayne for taking care of of me and treating me like family. After looking through multiple car audio dealerships to get my Durango all dialed in with Mosconi and Focal, Adam at Car audio one was the only dealership that can figure out the sound system and get it working properly. They also installed Dynamat for the whole vehicle and Edgar the tech was outstanding with attention to detail. Thank you Adam and Mike for the wonderful service! Their customer service and pricing is unmatched. I asked for a quote to install an after-market CarPlay, and Adam got back to me in a matter of minutes. I was able to get same day service with the work being completed within 1-2 hours (under the time that I was initially quoted). Upon arrival to the store, Adam greeted me, retrieved my keys and got to work on my car. It just happened to be a very hot day and their seating area is located outdoors... however, they were so kind and offered me a cool area within their store to be comfortable. Adam went above and beyond and offered me a cup of coffee and a bottled water (which he did not have to do, but it was so kind). Upon completion, his team handed me the keys and ensured that the installation was to my satisfaction. I was so thrilled with the upgrade to my car and the addition of the backup camera (which I am sure was not easy to install). An hour later, I received a follow up call from Adam (because he was not present at the release of my car) to check on the installation and he offered for me to come back to the store if I needed help with connecting my phone and/or anything else related to the upgrade. I installed five different Chinese android stereo's in 2013 toyota camry because I liked the large display. I had front and rear Morel component speakers and a small amplifier and a subwoofer and all of this still sounded like crap. I took it in to Car Audio One on third ave Chula Vista and talked to Adam. He really knows his stereo stuff , he listen to my system and right away he knew what the problem was. He said its a cheep chinese head unit. he recommended a nice JVC head unit with a really awesome 10" screen with all the things I was looking for .. They installed the JVC KW-Z1000W while I waited! WOW this unit paired with my new Morel speakers small 70watt amp sounds like I'm siting in a conncert or a symphony, so awesome !!!! I I'm truly please with what these guys did for me. I must say if your having trouble with your stereo, or need professional advice before you spend a bunch of money trying to pick your own stuff that may or may not work right together, talk to Adam he will steer to straight ! he really love's that he does . I needed a sub in my car and drove by this shop one day. Something about it's appearance made me think this was gonna be the place to go. It's not some big box store with a bunch of teenagers that don't know crap trying to sell you on whatever they have in stock. This is a locally owned small business run by people who know what their doing. I worked at Guitar Center in Pro Audio for several years and I've been producing bass music (Dubstep/Drum and Bass) for 20 years. There are two things I know...sound and sales. But I don't know anything about car stereo's, and when you don't have knowledge on something, you really need to put your faith and trust in someone who does. These guys have speakers stacked to the ceiling and this is what they do, day in, day out. I knew I needed their experience and advice. I met Adam and he walked me around the store showing me all of my options. He up-sold me on an amp and I was happy to upgrade for an extra $30. Buy once, cry once. You listen to music in your car every day, so it's worth spending a little more than expected than less than you should. I didn't have time for the install so I paid for my stuff and came back the next day. When I got there, I started having concerns that a 10 inch wasn't going to do it for me, but I didn't want to pay any more money. Adam found a 12 inch within my budget, loaned me his car so I didn't have to wait around and began the install. When I came back, Adam was excited to show me what he did. He was really proud of his work and told me that if I was happy, he would love a review. Listen up people...when someone in sales asks you for a review, it's because they have pride in what they do and they are confident that provided the best service possible. In this case, that was 100% true. Adam did a bang up job and I knew it as drove off the lot. But here's the catch... Speakers don't sound great right out gate. You need to bump them for a little bit. They are kind of like sneakers and they need to be broken in. Later that night, I had just finished working on a track that was exceptionally bass heavy and I wanted to hear it in the car. So I drove to the gas station, rolled down the windows and started dumping bass through the neighborhood. The speakers had fully warmed up and I finally got to hear them at their full potential. When I pulled up to the gas station and their was a dude emptying the trash bins. I told him to stop what he was doing to peep out the new track and the new sound system. He tripped out and genuinely said,"damn that sounds really dope." It sounded so freaking amazing I literally got out of my ride and start dancing around the car and getting crunk in the gas station parking lot! Pure joy in the form of low frequency audio waves permeated my ear canal and filled my soul with something that had been missing in my life. I love my music, and thanks to Adam, I can listen to it the way its supposed to be heard. Do I trust and recommend Audio One? Absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt. Great place ! When I got there the place was full, so I knew it had to be the place to go. As busy as they were I was greeted by John with a smile while analogy other customers. John listened to my needs and helped me out. When John found out this was for my 16 year daughter he went above and beyond for her needs. I forgot to mention that I did bring in my own stereo. That being said when I went to pick up my car parts that I took where broken. Andy was quick to find the part that were broken and had it installed. I would have had to buy a whole new XM system just because a little plug broke off when it stereo was removed. Thank you Andy ! As if that wasn't enough ! The speakers I chose were the wrong size. Adam quickly helped find the correct size speakers. Unfortunately they were not in stock. Adam gave me a great variety of speakers to chose from. But, Adam saw that I kept going back to a different set of speakers that were more expensive. Best place I could have asked for to walking in to get a surround sound. Have great loan opportunities and customer service wow. As soon as I got out of mi vehicle and headed in John greeted mi with a smile and most of all respect he let me know I would not be disappointed and in fact I was not had mi windows tinted, new alarm system, a back up camera installed great led lights to which they clean my front headlights as I it was out of the car dealership and well all the works for a surround sound (amp, subwoofer, front and back speakers) including a bass knob. To which a feels where upgrades. Wow I have way overjoyed. Installation took about a full 8 hr day but mi vehicle looked like a brand new car so many new gadgets including a touch screen to hook up my iPhone with. They also let me borrow a vehicle while they were upgrading my vehicle. Very affordable for all the work I got done. I hardly ever do this but with such exceptional service I thought it was absolutely necessary to download Yelp and give praise to the guys at Car Audio One. Right from the get go, John welcomed me to the shop was super patient with me (I don't know much about sound systems) he showed me the store, explained in detail all of my options, offered financing the whole nine yards! Any how they had me sold on a the whole deal, I went outside to wait while it was being installed and Adam walks over and introduces himself (the owner I believe), asked how I was treated, made sure I got what I was looking for, all around a great guy! Flagged Content: Worst place ever!! Don't take your vehicle here unless you want cheap low-grade parts and labor. Cheap aluminum wires.. Fire hazard installation. took my 2020 Toyota tacoma right off the lot to get a new sound system. When I picked up my new truck the next day my door panels were loose and scratched. My side mirrors didn't work, it had 40 more miles then when I dropped it off. When I tried my system it sounded like crap. They offered to give me an upgraded amp for free wich was refurbished. After going there 5 times with different issues I gave up. Took it to to another shop on Main st. Kenny there really hooked me up with quality stuff and work. He took out all the cheap wire that theese fools used. Gave them $2k for nothing. I feel robbed. It was a big time fire hazard and had melted plastic already under my seat! Stay away from these thiefs and do your research. Thiefs, scammers and frauds. STAY AWAY!! read more

I've been going to Car Audio One for years now and every time I go I am completely satisfied with my experience. Adam really takes care of his customers and makes sure they are taken care of. They have such a great variety of everything in store which makes it easy to find something you like. After talking with the guys there and doing some research online, I picked a stereo and was given a quote. I decided to check out the nearby shops but no one came even close to matching the quote Adam gave me. On top of already giving me the best price, they even threw in a back up camera for free!! The back up camera has really good quality even at night. Their prices are extremely competitive and they do a very clean job on the install. They had my car done in just a couple hours and even walked me through some of the features and tuning of the system! I have been going to Tommy at Audio One since I first started driving in Imperial Beach. I have had all my stereos and vehicles tinted by them for the past 20 something years. We were sad as we drove by the old IB shop and thought they had went out of business due to Covid but low and behold! They moved near where my husband and I bought our new home. They have had all my families business from my Dad to now my oldest daughter! Their work is the best in town! I am so glad they are back in business! I highly recommend this place. I came in to this shop and was treated with superior customer service. They gave me an incredible price on an entire system. I would not give my business to anyone else. I live over an hour away and was well worth the drive. They have excellent product knowledge and know exactly what they are doing. A true one stop shop. You walk in and are amazed by how many choices and selections they have. I was quoted a price for two 10-inch subs in a LED box and an amp, and I agreed to it. However, they informed me that the box was out of stock. Surprisingly, they had a box for two 8-inch speakers that they claimed "hit harder than any 10-inch speakers they have." It was ironic that they had tried to sell me the 8-inch speakers when I first arrived. Despite this, I decided to purchase the 8-inch speakers, without adjusting the price for the smaller speakers. However, when I unwrapped the brand-new box, it was chipped, scuffed, and scratched. Although they managed to get me in and out of the store in an hour, my "new amp" is now just sliding around under my passenger seat. I actually found these guys on a post from offer up. I was looking for a kenwood dns773s and they had them for an amazing price. To my surprise it turned out to be a car audio business that did installations too. The managers were super friendly and courteous. They are willing to work with you to get you what you need. All the pricing, even the installations, are fair. I went in for the head unit and actually ended up getting all of the parts and installation as well. Their installers are experienced, quick, and pay attention to the details. Everything from the pricing to customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend these guys to my friends and hope to be back soon for some component speakers! read more

The lost art of quality and professional customer service has been found and it's at Car Audio One. John was kind and helpful even as I was pulling into the driveway with a smile and wave. He was knowledgeable and understanding to me, even though I tried installing my stereo myself but failed miserably. He smiled and just said, "that's what we're here for". I've visited the 915 Broadway Car Audio One location on two separate occasions. On the first…read moreoccasion, I had a very negative experience where the employees that I was working with were giving me different prices than I was previously quoted when discussing pricing over Facebook Marketplace prior to coming into the store. I felt deceived, misled, and was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this store. Upon leaving a negative review, the general manager of this location, Talab M. personally reached out to me to try to change my negative impression of this location. Over an online discussion, we were able to verbally come to terms and an agreement which would bring back my business to this store as I had already begun shopping around to other businesses. I could tell by how he spoke to me and by his actions that customer service and customer experience was a major priority of his which is one of the biggest factors to me giving this location a second chance. When we finally met in person, he was straight to the point and we were able to quickly get started on the installation of a new Apple CarPlay stereo system and a back-up camera. While the car was getting serviced, we had a face-to-face conversation where I was able to explain where the disconnect between expectation and experience was and why I felt feelings of deception, disappointment, and frustration. Overall, the installation took about 2 hours. 45 minutes of which were waiting for the engineer to complete his previous task and an hour and 15 minutes of which included the careful and detailed installation of my stereo. Hermis, the engineer, took time to assess my car and pointed out parts that were already damaged to me and the owner Talab was kind enough to recommend places to order replacement parts for and even offered to invite me back to have his employees help me install the replacement parts for free. Hermis also took his time setting up the wiring which was very intricate and also neatly threaded through my car's frame and through narrow places like the trunk's hinges to give a clean and neat appearance. He also went out of his way to directly wire the stereo to the fuse box rather than normally through the rear headlights which allowed for more flexible functionality which was an "above-and-beyond" detail that was not needed but was noticed and appreciated. I had also communicated to Talab that I had just gotten a new license plate frame for a special occasion and would prefer a back-up camera which wouldn't obscure part of the frame. He explained to me that based on my car's anatomy, I was only able to utilize one specific back-up camera which would partially obscure the frame, but he also made the effort to communicate my request to the engineer who ultimately installed the the camera in the least obstructive way possible which was very much appreciated. Ultimately, I was extremely pleased with the service I had received not regarding the installation of my car but also the customer service presented by the staff. They made it clear my negative experience was an anomaly and that their standard is to ensure customers are pleased when they leave. This is a location I would be happy to return to for other work on my car and would definitely recommend to family and friends.
