    Took in my Toyota 4Runner Limited V8, which I am super protective of, to get a new stereo system install along with a back up camera. These guys took care of it all within a couple of hours. Mike charged me an arm and a leg, close to $1K which is a little pricey but I got the Sony system that I wanted along with a 4K resolution back up camera. The guy that installed my back up camera tried to skip the install and just zip tie the camera to the bottom of my bumper, then I told Mike and he told him to install it the correct way and don't ever do that. But that guy was just trying to skip some work... They did a really good job replacing my stereo system, it came out super clean without any open spaces or issues. But they did fail to connect my stereo system to my controls on my steering wheel so I had to return for another part and to get this taken care of, also my subwoofer in the rear was blown so I had them replace it the same day. Now my car sounds amazing and my dashboard looks better than it has in 20years. Definitely still looking around for cheaper location but if you need to find a reliable place that could service a 4Runner without any issues, then stop by here. The guy that does electrical work owns a 4Runner and knows how to take one apart carefully in under 5 mins to get to the stereo system.

    Speaker won't fit in the space the speaker falls down and damage my car for with a grinder.

    This is not going to be a scathing, trash-talking, ugly review. Reason being, the reader and Chula Vista Car Audio would probably minimize the true real concerns of: 1) Deceit/Dishonesty 2) False information Chula Vista Car Audio provided to the financial companies (Amica and Snap) they are utilizing. 3) Predatory and juvenile tactics used by Chula Vista Car Audio 4) Customer credit card abuse and misuse 5) Products listed with no prices. Installation charges with no prices. No itemized list or formal invoice 6) Reporting to proper authorities. No willingful and paying customer deserves this experience. 7) Customer denial of rights of purchased goods and warranties 8) Customer's mental health dealing with this horrible and ongoing experience. I am writing to make a formal complaint against a Chula Vista Car Audio employee, 'Johnny' (who normally wears a baseball cap), about the inadequate, unsatisfactory and possibly fraudulent service I received from the aforementioned establishment. He comes off as good-natured and over-friendly which is just a possible cover for his ulterior motives- deceit and a predator. Several months ago I entered Chula Vista Car Audio with good faith to buy a full quality sound system. After realizing that my product list was extensive and going into the thousands (was originally being helped out with another employee) out comes "Johnny" from behind the counter. So, the song and dance started. Charismatic as he thinks himself perceives he had suggested financing through Amica. As he was crunching the numbers for pre-approval he had entered my monthly income as $9,500.00! I did not provide that information but he continued crunching the numbers. I found out later, 'he cooked the books' to make the allowable amount financed higher than what was suitable for me. Therefore he can add whatever he chooses as product installation costs. I have yet to this day have any product cost and installation charges on paper. SNAP was also introduced to help finance another 3K . After he crunched the numbers he wanted my credit card info to 'start the finance' of the remaining 3K. I found later that same afternoon I was fully charged 3K on my credit card! I am contracted to work at several schools in the Chula Vista Area. One day, while visiting a particular school, I saw that my car, that was supposed to be in the Chula Vista Car Audio Shop (week 2), parked in the school parking lot (photos enclosed). I was shocked and had asked a school employee as to who drove up in this vehicle. Johnny was the person identified (I do have a witness) who worked as a parking director for the school in the morning. I approached a surprised Johnny. He said he was just 'testing the car out' and it would be ready for pickup that day. The next day I picked up my car as he left paperwork and original parts in the car. What was missing: Final invoice and itemized list of products and service charges and costs, manuals of Car Stereo/Alarm System and warranty info for all products paid for! I had called Johnny the next day and he just sent me the handwritten estimate of products minus cost of each product and services. It appears that Johnny was "cooking the books" and writing out any amount he sees fit. This is all I got! (photos included). I have no warranties for the products I had paid for! Then something popped out of my rear-bumper days later! (photo included). Poor workmanship and if it was damaged I had no warranty to back up the cost. I wonder if this is standard practice at Chula Vista Car Audio but Johnny is a representative of Chula Vista Car Audio. I am a businessman myself and his practices of taking advantage of a good and willing paying customer are hurtful, deceitful and a slap in the face of true well-meaning businessmen and women everywhere. I find what happened to be unacceptable at all scales and request Johnny be true to his customers. 'Johnny" has repeatedly and completely ignored all my requests. Chula Vista Car Audio got fully paid for services and products as immediate satisfaction and the balance is fully in the hands of Amica and Snap. I have exhausted all my efforts to contact Johnny and Chula Vista Car Audio Ignoring my phone calls and texts does not make this go away. It only strengthens the fact Now it is beyond a reasonable solution. I have filed with the Small Claims Court Division of San Diego. Papers will be delivered to Chula Vista Car Audio by independent courier. I had also filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs as the Better Business Bureau suggested because Chula Vista Car Audio had received an 'F' rating while trying to apply for accreditation with the BBB. Why? Because of two similar finance and credit card abuse complaints filed against Chula Vista Car Audio which also, which is no surprise, went unanswered and unresolved. True and unfabricated. Buyer beware but buyers do have rights and a right to be treated as decent people.

    I wanna start out by saying I had a very easy going time with my experience at CV car audio. Mazin and Omar were both very knowledgeable, honest, and not pushy. They gave me options and told me the benefits of each option. Customer service was amazing, Mazin welcomed me and made my decisions very simple and easy. I will definitely go back to Chula Vista car audio for any car audio services. The prices are definitely fair, and the service went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to family and friends. I look forward to future business with CV car audio.

    I had a great experience there. I was looking to change my stereo system and the shop offered me a kenwood stereo with android auto & apple car play for 680 (including installation). The job is clean and the stereo works really well. I would definitely come back again and suggest it to friends.

Initially I requested to be quoted on yelp, no response for a good amount of hours which isn't a big deal since I just decided to call and was able to get my quote quickly over the phone. We were able to set up an appointment and he actually set it at 8:15am because I asked for it to be done soon because of work and he had another client after when he's usually at least I've seen open at 9am which I can appreciate. When I came to the appointment there was a positive and a negative, the positive is he helped me decide on the right tint 5% on back 45 % on front 2 and 70% windshield CXP but there was a spontaneous 60$ increase to my price from 700 to 760$ due to him running out of the tint i was initially going for and switching to CXP which at first I was skeptical but I think the result was worth it and it comes with a *limited* life time warranty. Overall 2 hiccups, it's not a big operation & the guy who helped was very polite and explained things very openly which I can also appreciate, I'm happy with my experience and result and I would definitely recommend this place to the people I know as well as any person reading.

I was upfront that I didn't really understand the differences between ceramic and nano ceramic tint and was hoping for guidance on what would make the most sense for my vehicle and budget. Unfortunately, the conversation didn't feel very helpful or welcoming. When I asked about ceramic tint, I was told I "didn't need it," but when I asked why, the explanation came across more dismissive than educational. The shop may very well do quality work, and I can't speak to their installations, but customer experience matters too. I was hoping for a more informative and respectful interaction, especially as someone trying to learn before making a purchase decision.

Both owners are lame and shady…read more Wanted to love my experience and support this business (both locations) but the lack of professionalism with things as basic as scheduling makes me wish I could go back in time and just find someone else to do it. This review is for both locations (City Heights and National City, ran by Hector and Jose respectively). Initial appointment was for NC location for their summer special of full tint + sun strip + car detail. The process took NC team 4 hours only for them to not put the sun strip nor actually detail the car. Jose scheduled me to go to the CH location for both the following week to make it more convenient for me AND I even confirmed with their detailing guy to make sure everyone knew what day/time to be there (9am on a Saturday). A week later, I get there only to see that the shop isn't even open and no one is there.... I call Hector and he says we're on our way, gets there and opens shop, only to tell me it'll take a few hours and we can't guarantee the detail will be done today. I wait there another 3 hours for them to put in JUST the sun strip and last minute someone is able to detail my car. For the many inconveniences Hector says he'll grant me two free details to use whenever in the future, chill, or so I thought. Month goes by and I try to use one of the free details. Over the span of three weeks trying to call or text Hector with sparse answers but promises to get a detail to me, Hector stops responding. I call the shop and get told he's away on a family emergency. I call the NC location to see if they can help and after 3 days of calling them, Jose finally answers and sets me up with an appointment the following weekend to get a detail. Get there right on the scheduled time only to find that the shop is closed again and NC shop isn't answering my calls. Funny enough, I call them from a private number and it's answered immediately. Jose says "oh yeah they'll be there in 10 minutes". Detail guy shows up only to service another car and has to call ANOTHER detail person to come detail my car. I have now wasted a total of 10+ hours in time, gas, and money on my weekends over the span of 2 months for what was supposed to be a tint and a detail service. Lack of the ability to do a basic service, yanking the chain for time and scheduling, multiple no shows, lies to my face about promises, and even resorting to ghosting my calls is laughable, a display of incredibly piss-poor professionalism, and a blatant attempt to stiff a customer for no reason. I, anyone who asks, will never give these guys any further business. I want a refund lol.
