Within one week, the transmission failed, and the estimate for repair was over $14,000. When I asked the dealer to take responsibility, they refused. I even pursued the matter in small claims court but was unable to get relief. In my experience, this dealer did not stand behind their vehicle, and I would caution others to be very careful before buying from smaller used auto dealers.

While we were gone on our test drive he aired it up for us. Even though we decided not to purchase that E-150 we appreciated Harvey and his friendly attitude. He wasn't pushy at all. I wouldn't mind doing business with Harvey at Downtown Auto Sales someday. They're great folks Update 4/20/2018: After looking at other options in other areas I decided to return to Downtown Auto Sales and buy the Ford E-150 I had already test driven. Harvey was just as pleasant as he was the day before. He took off $500 and we had a very easy sale. He was very excited to be a part of the beginning of my new local business, Bakersfield Cleanpro. I recently went to downtown auto sales and purchased a work truck from them and the gentleman that…read moresold the truck to me told me that it came from Van Nuys out of LA area and that it was a service truck for the county and that the maintenance on the truck was done up to date and all the time well after I purchased the truck and had it for a week the stereo quit working the oil light came on I had to change the oil it was very very very dirty the fuel filter had not been changed in a long time it was gross and I just feel like they did nothing to get the truck ready for sale just threw it out on the lot and said here you go. I would not purchase another vehicle from this company unless I need it less it went to a mechanic and somebody went through it just be careful buying trucks from auto dealers they are crooks.

I had been searching for a car on CarGurus for months. For some reason, I had no luck finding…read moresomething. As soon as I saw this truck, I reached out to the dealership. The next business day, a seller named Nicho reached out to me. We talked on the phone about my situation & what I would need to be able to walk with this truck. We went over credit, co-signer, down payment, deposit & questions regarding the vehicle. Nicho was able to get me approved with no cosigner & a monthly payment that I am comfortable with & a down payment I was comfortable with. When I arrived to the dealership, they had the truck ready for me to test drive. After a test drive, I was sure this is the vehicle I wanted.
