Never got to get a car detailed. First time I tried to call them, no one answered the phone for 2 days. When I left a voice message no one called back. Their website had a form to fill for them to contact you, but no one called back from that either. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment on their website, but I had to move that to a week later because something came up. I got a confirmation email a day before the rescheduling date but no one showed up. When I called them, they said they had no record of my appointment (I still have the confirmation to prove this). I rescheduled the appointment for another day and had to cancel this time as the car needed some repairs. I cancelled ~30hrs before the meeting, but now I am told there will be a $50 cancellation charge... 1) It's extremely difficult to get them on the phone 2) Their website or emails do not clearly say that there's a 48 hour policy for cancellations. 3) The confirmation email with the cancellation link is sent 24 hours before and not 48 so what's the point of that confirmation email? EDIT: I found the email from when I signed up and it says 24 hours (I have a timestamped email) "If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you may do so through www.CarBeautifulAustin.com or give us a call at 512-924-4545. Remember there's a 24 hour cancellation policy with a $50 fee on any job cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. " I got on the phone and complained about it and Andrew basically called me a liar about the #2 instance where they didn't show up and I had to call and reschedule the appointment. They are not going to send me a $50 bill. but I don't like getting called a liar, so I am leaving this review here even though I told Andrew that I would delete it. Sorry Andrew this is not how you should treat your customers. read more

Boat beautiful has been regularly washing not only my boat but my cars as well for the past 6 months or so and I could not more highly recommend their services. My quest for a good wash in Austin began years ago, and I was continuously frustrated by the retail washes giving me my car back dirty, not to mention scratched from using dirty rags. None of this is an issue with boat beautiful. Instead of your boat/car being "processed" by a turn and burn crew, there are one or two guys that meticulously comb over every detail until it's just right. It gets better though, in addition to the great wash - they come to you! Just set an appointment and enjoy the comfort of your home or office while your car or boat gets spiffy. The pricing is also comparable to what you would pay at a traditional wash, but again the level of quality is far superior. Andrew is very professional and easy to work with, and provides a high level of service explaining exactly what's going on with your car/boat in terms of the paint, finishes, waxing needs etc. The guys work really hard and you can tell they take pride in what they do. As someone who has tried every wash in central/west Austin I can't think of one single reason why you would go anywhere else for your detail needs! read more

Looking for a mobile detailer, I came across Car Beautiful when I moved here. After calling a few times, they finally got back to me to schedule something. The actual detail was excellent and I was very impressed. Unfortunately, while the work is good, the communication and operation of the business is significantly lacking. I travel quite a bit and wanted to postpone/reschedule an upcoming detail (I had them every 2 weeks). After 4 or 5 calls, I gave the task to my assistant with the instructions "call repeatedly until someone answers." I finally got a callback, but instead of cancelling one of my appointments, they cancelled everything for the future. I realized this after a few weeks went by with no appointment notifications. After trying to call them 3 or 4 more times, someone new answered, their assistant it seemed. She was very rude and told me I needed some special (read: expensive) service to start off into my normal schedule again. I said that's absurd, and I had maybe 100 miles on the odometer since last detail. After talking to the owner, he said that wasn't required. A new appointment was scheduled, and I made it very clear to continue every two weeks. After prompting them 4 weeks later, I finally gave up. This business is not well run, and based on the other reviews, I'm not an edge case. I found a new detail shop that actually cares about their customers. It's quite unfortunate because the actual field team was great and I really enjoyed their work. read more

Car Beautiful had done some work on my boat and jet skis through their other group, Boat Beautiful, and had sent an email about their car service. I had just had my car back from the dealer for a service call and even after a dealer cleaning it still looked a little rough. In addition, my wife's car is a little over a year old and we really wanted to get a good cleaning and wax job on her vehicle. Once it stopped raining, which delayed us for over a week, Andrew scheduled us for both cars in one day. Given the amount of work needed on my car and the daylight savings time they didn't quite finish the Lexus to the level that we would have hoped. FIRST THING the next morning - before I even had a chance to call them - I had a text from Andrew asking how the job went. When I told him that we were thrilled with my car but a little less pleased with my wife's car he told me that it was unacceptable to him that we weren't fully pleased with both cars and he sent his guys back out immediately to finish the job to our satisfaction. The car looked fantastic. My vehicle is a 2008 Mercedes that I take care of and after the clay bar and waxing along with a full detailing the car looked brand new! I was thinking of trading it in but after the job by Car Beautiful I'm keeping it at least another year. Andrew is very focused on customer service, his pricing is reasonable for the work that they do, and they come when they say they'll be there and follow up on their work. I will continue to use them. It's hard to get such good customer service and positive results like this. read more

I had the team at Car Beautiful ceramic coat my Tesla Model 3 (baby blue color). It looks AWESOME! I also had the interior coated as well as the glass. The process that is used and the care that is taken is phenomenal. A thorough wash, then buffing out paint, then coating assures that you'll have a long-lasting finish that outshines other cars on the road! I also had a minor scuff on the front bumper that I took back out to Andrew and his crew, and they polished away my concerns, all the while making me feel like this was an excellent investment: because it WAS! If you've got a car you value (and a car that is valuable), you can trust it to the professionals at Car Beautiful. They do mobile work as well, but I dropped it off at their shop on 620 and gave them a couple of days to spend some extra time in the details---which they did! Wish there were more than 5 stars !! After many hand wash facilities and so-called premium detail packages, I had Car Beautiful do a total detail on my silver Lexus. They live up to their name....it was beautiful. There were no spots or streaks left behind on either the paint, chrome, windows, wheels or headlights. The leather interior, carpet, headliner and even the trunk looked new even though the car is not new. And they came to my location so I was able to go about my business while they went about their's, and felt totally safe while doing so. I will definitely use them from now on even for washes between details. read more

What can I say, other than Car Beautiful is what auto detailing is all about. These guys are total wax geeks when it comes to understanding the chemical properties of paint, clear coats and waxes. While no one answered when I first called, they quickly called me back to see how they could help (I hadn't left a voicemail), and after I told them what kind of car I have, they gave me a few pricing options. I decided to go with The Expert (the higher tier offered), and was not disappointed. The detailer that came out was very professional but also friendly, and did a great job on my car! I was very impressed with the overall service, from the interactions we had to the quality of work performed.
