'09 Ford Ranger, in great condition. I've been driving it around for a weeks now since I've bought it and ZERO issues
    Erica L.

He just opened right before Christmas 2023, super nice guy! Gave me a good deal on the '09 Ford Ranger he had on the lot and took care of everything. I would recommend anyone looking for quality used vehicles to Car Busters

Although there was a buzz a vibe about we were greeted and accommodated. This was a test for MOM on this day but she finally did it. In and out in an hour and forty minutes and a check in hand. MORE THAN COULD BE EXPECTED. 5 star staff 5 star transaction. Thank you OSCAR, very patient were you.

June 15, 2026, I purchased a 2025 Mazda CX-30 from Carmax. On July 31, 2026, I was driving up a…read moresteep hill and my gas dropped from 220 miles to 10 miles, with no gas station for at least 10 miles. I pulled over to try to figure out what happened and while the car was turned off the mileage went back up, not all the way but somewhat. We continued another 100 or so miles, only to have the gas drop again!! We were fine until we had to drive back home on Sunday Aug. 2, 2026, over 400 miles. As my husband and I were driving we got at least 200 miles and the gas dropped and we pulled over and shut the car off for about 10 minutes and then we were able to get back on the road. The mileage dropped another two times and we had to keep pulling over. On Monday, Aug 2nd I called Modesto Mazda dealership in the next city and set up an appointment to take the car in on Thursday Aug. 6, 2026. I had the car diagnosed and had to pay $230.00 out of pocket because the Mazda dealership was waiting for Carmax to pay for the diagnostic. The findings were that there were markings around the gas tank under the back seat and Mazda would not honor the warranty due to tampering. During this time I was also in contact with Carmax's Store Support Manager, Joey Vera. When I sat down with Joey he assured me he would do what he could do, which was nothing! The Mazda dealership was also in contact with Carmax and received no response. I emailed Joey on Aug.8th and I have never received a response. On Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, my husband and myself were out of town, again! As we were driving up a steep hill the mileage again dropped drastically!! As we drove home the mileage continued to drop but once the car was parked the mileage went back up. Today, Wednesday, Aug.26, 2026, I decided to call Mazda Corp. and spoke with Bridget and she let me know that the dealership is the one who determines warranty coverage. After speaking to Bridget at Mazda Corp. I called Mazda Modesto and spoke with the service manager, David. David actually took the time to look into things and let me know the reason the warranty would not cover the fuel pump, gage, and/or lines is because someone put an after market pump on the vehicle that was not disclosed to me when I made the purchase from Carmax in Modesto, CA. I should not have to come out of pocket for $2,327.08 for repairs that they should have caught when Carmax did two inspections and this big problem was not caught! Since Carmax does not want to take responsibility for the vehicle they sold me, I just make a report to the BBB Auto line. Carmax count your days!!! I advise everyone who has been wronged by Carmax to file a claim!!

Excellent communication, service, and timely replies. I received a significant discount on the OTD price, even when including the BuySide Auto fee. On top of that, I NEVER had to step into a dealership, talk to a salesperson directly, spend hours playing the "let me ask my manager" game, or have to talk to a Finance manager and repeatedly say NO to unnecessary options. All communication was easily done through email and text, although phone and in-person contact was also available. Process starts with completing a convenient online request. From there, Kim contacted me to fully understand my wishlist, range of optional requirements, and any non-negotiables. After reaching out to their dealer network, within a day she provided a list of potential matches with estimated OTD prices, which included some in SoCal available for transfer to the Bay Area and cars still in production with estimated availability dates. I had a lot of questions and some requests and Kim was very responsive and instrumental in relaying them to the dealer and advocating for me. Even my request to remove all dealer installed options was negotiated by Kim and granted by the dealer with no hassle on my end. I paid the BuySide Auto fee to reserve the car for purchase and when the car was available I opted to pickup at their office in SF. Home delivery to SF is also currently no charge, while delivery outside of the city is available with a modest fee. Upon first contact, I asked if weekend pickup or delivery was available, since their normal hours are on weekdays. Kim made note of it and remembered my preference even after the sale was completed. Chris was able to make himself available for Saturday pickup! We took a walk around the car took a look inside. We spent no more than 10 minutes reviewing and signing paperwork, received my keys, and I was off with my brand new car! Both Kim and Chris were great to work with and I have no hesitation in working with them again for future car purchases.

I'd strongly recommend them!

I was very surprised to see all the asphalt here. 90% of it including the major walkways. Most PickNpulls are all on gravel. The major problem is its easy to loose sockets and screws that you might drop. Also its a bit slower to walk on and to maybe roll something heavy on. Currently lots of Chevy s10s with really great interiors. I'm not sure why but they weren't all picked at as most other locations would have been. Got some visors - in better condition than mine. Had been looking for years - never found anything decent. Mine are saggy and my passenger side has the mirror cover broken off - no longer. Also got a minor thing that was missing from my truck - a tail gate liner. Went to check the w123 340d. It was fresh on the lot. Grabbed a dashboard cover but really wanted the cluster which was already gone. It was a 4 speed with blue interior that was in great condition. The driver seat looked almost perfect with exception for one tiny portion of piping. These seats tend to wear like iron but after 40 years they are getting rare. People snap them up fast. Took a look at the domestics. Saw an Achieva and a similar year 94 Grand AM. Those are basically the same cars - but the Oldsmobile had a much better interior fabric quality. I never looked inside one of those - but remember them all over 30 years ago. I can't remember the last time I saw one on the road. Prices are ok. If you a coupon shopper - there is a toolkit reward and certain parts are on sale at certain times.

On there site it said around $20, they charged around $40- the price of a brand new one that comes with a new gasket. When Asked about it two employees said they ring it up as an oil pan. The customer parking was a bit off to the side in a rocky area but I'm guessing it's because they just have a massive amount of cars in their inventory When we talked to some of the staff we quickly were able to test drive a 2019 Subaru Outback that we were looking for which was awesome. They pulled it up for us and gave us a map that showed you where all you go for your test drive. The test drive is really just a giant circle around the block which has varying speed limits so it's a bit short but also just enough to get a feel for the car. I also appreciate that they don't feel the need to sit in the car with you so you can just focus on the test drive. We told them we were interested in the car but there were a weird issue where the window control panel on the driver side only was able to roll up/down the driver window but none of the others. They said they would immediately take It over to get it fixed and did just that. The prices are non-negotiable which we'd read online but the cars they have in their inventory are actually in really great condition. They all had brand new tires, cleaned thoroughly inside and out, and they repair any issues that previous owners didn't want to. They defintiely put time, money, and labor into each of the cars and when you compare across other dealerships, Robert's Auto cars are in better condition. When we were talking through the price they were immediately able to show us what the costs were out-the-door with the exact breakdown of fees which there are no "surprise fees". They only charged for what was required (title/taxes/registration) and THAT IS IT. We told them we'd come back with a cashiers check and did exactly that in 30 mins. We spent maybe an extra 25 mins to sign paper work and by that time the driver side window control panel was fixed and they had prepped/washed/polished the car inside and out which was awesome. In total we spent maybe 2 hours from when we first pulled in, to where we drove off with the car and I really appreciated how transparent and chill the staff was. Cons: My only incredibly minor complaint/observation was that none of the cars that I saw have floor mats. Which is more odd than anything. If I see I car I want there in the future, I would definitely drive the 4 hours back just because I know exactly what I'm going to get. I'd highly recommend their team! We're all human and miss things but the difference is that they're willing to pay out of pocket to get it fixed before you drive off and even give you 5 days to bring it back (I think) and a 30 day dealer warranty. If the car you want has CarPlay then make sure you bring a USB cable Here's a list of things I like to check: Lights: turn signals, hazards, high and low beams, fog lights Interior: speakers (check to make sure none of them are blown out), all seat controls on driver and passenger side. Make sure they can move forward/back/up/down/etc. Check seat heaters, check the AC works, check window wipers/+rear, check that all of the window controls on all of the doors, check the back up camera. When test driving: check the blind spot detection indicators Overall, 10/10 car dealership!

Sometimes the communication can be a little lacking though, which can be frustrating. Also the prices, they can't be beat for the quality of cars they have compared to a traditional dealership.
