The 2 gentlemen who work @ this car lot (Chad & Caesar) are very accommodating, low pressure, & professional unlike some other car lots I have visited this month. All the vehicles on this car lot are one car owners, low mileage, plus a full & complete car check is performed not to mention new tires were installed on the hybrid vehicle I purchased. This lot sets the standard for used car sales. The only thing better than these vehicles is a CPO but you get for what you pay or in this case you get more bang for the buck. DO NOT COME HERE; they will lie to you and sell you a car that will not be worth what you paid for. They are unethical and only care about taking your money. I purchased a vehicle from Carbusters and within 2 days had it inspected by my mechanic. The inspection revealed numerous serious issues, including diagnostic trouble codes, evidence that an extender had been installed between the exhaust and O2 sensor, and concerns that someone may have attempted to conceal a catalytic converter-related problem. My mechanic also found that the rear brake pads had less than 1 mm of material remaining (approximately 5% life left), the front tires needed replacement, and several other mechanical issues. The check engine light came on almost immediately after driving the vehicle. After contacting the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), I was informed that the presence of the O2 sensor extender could make the sale illegal. BAR also advised me that the vehicle had previously failed a smog inspection in 2023 due to a catalytic converter code and was reportedly driven only about 150 miles before later passing a smog inspection in November 2024. I have photographs of the extender, a written report from my mechanic, and my mechanic is willing to serve as a witness regarding the vehicle's condition. Despite presenting these concerns and requesting to exercise my contract cancellation option, Carbusters has refused to take the vehicle back or issue a refund. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to have an independent pre-purchase inspection performed and thoroughly research the vehicle's history before signing any paperwork. read more

I bought a 2013 Subaru Outback in August of 24 and three months later the vehicles transmission was shot. The warranty I purchased on the vehicle cost an additional $800.00 for three months and almost exactly after it ended the transmission failed. Upon inspection from my mechanic, there seems to also be additional issues and quite possible signs of a major water damage (possibly involved in a flood or submerged). It's been sitting at the shop since December and I'm still undecided on whether to invest in fixing it or calling it a loss and paying off the loan. Either way it's going to cost me much more. I should've trusted better judgement and went with a more reputable company. I made the purchase on an impulse because the price was so inexpensive. The gentleman who assisted me was well spoken and professional, unfortunately he lacked being ethical. Lesson learned - save your money, improve your credit and buy certified used vehicles from a reputable company. read more

Bought a car there it had the engine light on. They said it was the battery so supposedly they replaced the battery and the light turned off. Later I find out that they rigged it and finding out it needs a new chip that cost $1000. I bought the warranty when I bought the car and I asked what did it cover and they said everything and that's a lie it doesn't cover electrical parts. Now 1 year later and the battery is dead. I had communicated with Chad a few days before since I was interested in one of the cars he was selling. He showed me the car and told me go and check it out. The car looks very good and he also told me that he had serviced the car and it needn't be worried for old oil or brakes, etc. This is my first time buying a car from a dealer and he helped me and walked me through all of the process without trying to take advantage of my ignorance. He did all the explaining and instructions. I am very happy and satisfied with his service and the car. I get my coworkers, friends and family impressed with the quality of the car and condition. Bought a car here 1 month ago here that looked clean and no obvious issues. A few weeks later it starts making weird sounds. I had a mechanic look at it and basically saying the engine is shot and a 9k replacement necessary in the near term. I got a second opinion and same diagnosis. BOTH mechanics said that whomever sold the car likely just used an additive to mask the sound/ issue. Basically Just a slimy used car dealer. Save your money and time and do not buy from this dealer. I am aware used cars do not have warranties but this is outright fraud and I will be reporting them to DMV going to small claims to recoup my loss. read more

mother just bought a Toyota to move herself to Texas from Modesto.She is broken down less than twenty four hours later The car will not turn on.It's the third time it stopped driving.They have to get it towed in and she has to stop the check on the vehicle.We will most likely be taking them to court.Do not buy and not only that, they just Hang up on you when you call to ask questions about the lemon vehicle. I will be calling the police to deliver my message since the owner cannot seem to keep on the phone line when I call . Super disappointing. A few weeks ago I bought a car from them that supposedly had no issues. They topped off the air in the tires when I bought the car and I was told the check tire pressure light would turn off soon on its own. Turns out the tire sensors were broken. After lots of run around and multiple visits to the dealership, they did replace them for me, but the car quickly began to show a ton of other issues that Car Busters was unwilling to look at. I am paying to get all these issues fixed at a different auto shop and I definitely regret purchasing from Car Busters. read more
