Although I was told upon the car's delivery the defect would be covered, neither Carvana nor the warranty company would take responsibility for the fix when I spoke to them, claiming it was a cosmetic concern. Long story short, following around a week of acquiring parts and discussion with the warranty company (on Michael's part), mechanics were able to finalize fixes, with all the repairs, including a new OEM headlamp, covered by my warranty company. I was purchasing from out of state, found the exact vehicle I wanted at the right price, and my salesman Kevin was great. He was attentive and went above and beyond, even sending me screenshots of the vehicle's full service history to put my mind at ease. Brian in finance was equally great, very straightforward about the extended warranties and he even overnighted my paperwork to get everything finalized quickly. Up until that point I had nothing but good things to say. That all changed once my down payment went through. I arranged my own auto transport to have the vehicle shipped to me. When my driver showed up to the dealership for pickup, he did his standard pre-transport inspection and found damage that nobody had ever mentioned to me. Not once during the entire sales process. It wasn't in any of the listing photos and it wasn't on the CarFax. The salesman on site reviewed the findings and signed off on the damage report before the car was loaded onto the truck. The vehicle arrived to me with mild hail damage and significant paint and door damage on the passenger side, all of which was known by the dealership and never disclosed to me as the buyer. It has now been 3.5 weeks and I have called the dealership every single day since. I've left voicemails for both sales managers Eric Marbley and Josh Lynn, as well as Kevin and Brian, and I have not received a single call back. Not one. Complete radio silence from everyone involved in my sale. This isn't just a lesson about not buying a car without seeing it in person. Plenty of people buy remotely without getting burned like this. This is about a dealership that knowingly sold a damaged vehicle without disclosing it and then went completely silent the moment the deal was done. What made the situation worse was the way Baron handled it. In my experience, he was extremely rude, dismissive, and showed very little concern about helping me understand why these issues supposedly weren't covered under the extended warranty I paid for. I don't expect every repair to automatically be covered, but I do expect a service advisor to treat customers with respect, clearly explain warranty decisions, and make an effort to help. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. After purchasing an extended warranty specifically to protect myself from expensive repairs, this experience has been very frustrating. It didn't have one when I took it to them. When I took it back to them they wanted to upsell me $2000 engine tear down. Saying it had nothing to do with their work. Refused to do all the diagnostic testing required by Subaru manuals or check their workmanship. I had a meeting with the Service Manager and his foreman. Five minutes into the conversation the foreman started yelling, was very unprofessional and walked out of the room. I took it to another certified Subaru Tech. He found a clip from one of the 6 clips off the windshield wiper cowling (all 6 are still missing)inside the engine in cylinder 1 sitting on top of the valves. If it had fallen into the cylinder it could have destroyed my engine. It was what was causing the misfire. It cost me $1300 to fix their screw up. These people are irresponsible, incompetent, unprofessional and do not stand behind their workmanship warranty. I wonder what else they have dropped inside engines? They will never see my Subaru again. I am concerned they will do a lot more damage to it if I did. Something that will cost me a lot more than $1300 to fix. Even with the evidence including pictures they would not make it right. Don't trust your car with these people!!
