I was recently in a non-at-fault accident. My car needed over $10K in damages fixed. They had the car for less than a month - during the holidays and did an amazing job fixing him. The vehicle was in bad shape - we actually thought they would total it - if you looked and drove it now, you would have no idea. The car looks and drives better than it did when I purchased it. It looked like they gave him a good wash and also detailed the inside, which was greatly appreciated - it needed it. Also - the biggest thing - my vehicle has been leaking oil for months. I have brought it to my dealership mechanic for oil changes and they kept wanting to charge me over $100 to diagnose the issue that started after they did the first oil change. Car Craft told me that all it is is a stripped bolt that needs to be replaced, they just didn't have a replacement on hand. They informed me that my mechanic dealership is pulling some sketchy stuff. Got sent here from insurance after a minor fender bender. Repairs took about a week and Valerie (the receptionist I think) kept me informed the whole time and was very responsive to calls. She wasn't here when I came to pick up my car but the other people working there were very nice as well. My car looked great and was detailed inside and out (it was shiny!). My car was worked on straightaway and back to me in record time at a fair price. When I received my car back, all of the safety lights (ABS, tire pressure, check engine, etc) were lit up. I tried to tested my indicator, and it did not activate, nor did the lights turn on. I honked my horn, and there was no noise. Essentially anything that needed to be plugged back in after doing body work to the front of a car, was not. The owner did stay late and re-connected my lights, so thank you to Car Craft for not letting me drive out of there without lights, but did you really need me to test my own car? Would you have let me drive away if I had not had the foresight to check? As for the horn and the safety lights being left on, I was told that the lights would go off on their own, and if they did not, just bring it back in and they can reset them. Why weren't they reset to begin with? It is also near impossible for me to get to the shop during a time that they are open to reset them because they only have standard business hours, 8-5, with no weekend hours. Finally, I understand that as a body shop you get busy and dealing with customer service is a second thought. But when you tell me that the repairs will take a week, I take that at face value and expect, at the very least, a phone call saying that the repairs will take longer than expected. I waited 10 business days to call and inquire, and my car was still not done. The body work that they do is good, but I expect that in a repair shop. Just about everything else is lacking. read more

If you're going to brag to my face about your never ending line of customers waiting to get an appointment when I politely follow up because you never called me back, at least back it up with good work, not below average work. My car was hit by another driver. In other words, I had a bad day. Even worse, my bad day was on a weekend. The other guy's insurance company recommended this place. I call them, they make it very difficult to drop off (no drop box for keys, not really going the extra mile to ensure me that they actually valued me as a customer). I dropped the car off, didn't hear anything until three days later after I called and I was told that an adjuster had not come by yet, and that Wiley the mechanic would call me. Called again Monday after the weekend and was told the car would be able to be picked up on Friday! Fantastic news! Called again Tuesday to ask about what they did with the repair, and what was going on with my speakers which would need to be moved from the old car to the new. I was told that an adjuster had not come out yet, and that they had no idea who would have told me that. Again I was told Wiley the mechanic would call me. I came into the shop on Wednesday, introduced myself and asked about arrangements for picking the car up Friday and the receptionist looked very confused. I finally met Wiley after a week and a half who told me the car would most likely be totalled. Okay, that's a HUGE change of plans. Thanks for keeping me informed and up to date like it says when you put me on hold. I talk to the adjuster who says I need to call the facility to get the car off the lot, so I do- Paul tells me that I need to come down and get my stuff out of the car. Okay, what stuff? Like my stereo, amp and speakers? Take them out as in get in the car with my wrenches and screwdrivers? Odd. No help, wouldn't even clarify what he meant. After I politely asked him what he meant for the third time, he said "just come get your plates so we can get the car out of here." or something to that effect. Now I am leaving this review. It's not that hard to just be polite. Someone losing their car is not the end of the world, but it's a huge inconvenience, especially when the person loves their car (as will I always love my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX). My car was sent to Car Craft after a rear-end collision and dealing with Safety Insurance. As the not-at-fault driver, I had a complete "just get it fixed" attitude towards the whole thing. I did some research once I found out it was going to Car Craft and I felt comfortable having them do the work. I drove by the facility twice and the shop looked clean and modern. In my opinion, one of the biggest hurdles was just realizing that the whole insurance claims process sucks, especially when you're the one that got hit. So, on to the repairs and what took place. The repairs took about two business weeks to complete because my car needed exhaust work in addition to body work. The rear door (SUV) and bumper had to be replaced along with some touch-ups along the rear quarter panels, etc. But, the folks at Car Craft worked with my insurance company to take care of the repairs, payments, etc. Overall, when I received my car back, I was extremely pleased with the results. The folks at Car Craft also detailed my car inside and out and left everything they found under the seats in the back of my car (including, I kid you not, a pair of shoes I thought were long gone). My car drove great! Now, there were a few mechanical issues that had to be taken care of, but my insurance got that fixed at Toyota of Braintree. The folks at Car Craft left me a detailed report of everything that was fixed, replaced, etc. My car looked great and drove great. The exhaust work looked fine and I passed inspection with no problem! A couple of weeks later, my car started making a funny rattling noise. Since I wasn't sure what it was, I called my insurance company who said to take it back to Car Craft. I went there on my way to work one morning. The manager working that morning was a little crass and told me "we inspect every vehicle that we work on." I explained to him that yes, I knew he did and I wasn't accusing him of anything. Rather, less than a month ago I was involved in an accident, my car was worked on, and now it was making a weird rattling noise. I wanted to know if it was related to the accident or if it was something else. I explained that if it was something else, of course I would pony up and pay for the expense. Rather, I had a good experience at Car Craft and I wanted to build on that relationship if something else was wrong. Well, long story short, they took my car right in and realized it was a $5 part corroding away and needed to be replaced. It took 5 minutes to replace the said part and when I asked the manager how much it would be, he told me not to worry and he would write it in under my expense since he was still working with my insurance company. The long and the short of it is this: they did a great job fixing my car. When my car made it to Car Craft, it was in rough shape. The repairs took two weeks, which I thought was reasonable. Furthermore, they went above and beyond and fixed an extraneous part that gave me trouble to keep my business. So if you're in the unfortunate event that you need body work done, I would highly recommend working with Car Craft. read more

Okay so I almost love this place, but can't... I would have given it five stars where not for the fact that both times I was there the customer service was shaky. The receptionists are nice enough, and when they say the will call back they do. However, there are some staff members who made me feel like I wasn't as important as perhaps someone with a BMW. My first time there was good, I did some damage to my car and it took about three weeks from the moment I dropped my car off to when I picked it up. They did a good job and detailed my car, which was awesome! The second time my car was hit and took it back to car craft. Again it took about three weeks for it to be ready. When I dropped it off I explained that not only was there cosmetic damage but my muffler was now making a weird noise. When I picked my car I noticed that it still made the noise, so I asked the staff person about it and explained that it wasn't making the noise before. He told that it was all rusty anyways so...I looked at him and took as he was trying to tell me that it would have to get replaced anyways and he said probably. I didn't like that, more than anything it was the attitude of duh you should know that and who cares anyway and leave. I don't know if he is right or not, but it would have been nice he would just explained it to me minus the attitude. Would I go back to them? Hopefully I won't have to because theat would mean an accident, but if I did have to I guess I would. The actual work is great, the guys do a good job with the repairs and the detailing. read more

Not only do the repairs look perfect (deer damage on the left side) but they cleaned the car inside and out and decided my shiny black car deserved to roll out of their parking lot with a fresh tire shine. Five star work, the car didn't look this good with 25 miles on the odometer and they kept in touch with me & worked quickly with my insurance company on a pretty big repair job. Let's be honest, you can rarely say it was a pleasure to bring your car in for body work, but this shop was old-school professional all the way for me and it made the best of a crappy situation. My insurance company recommended I go to Car Craft because they participate in their in-network program that can make the claim/adjustment process easy. I hoped going to them would make it easier but I was terribly wrong. When I dropped off my car I was immediately told it would be "awhile" and that I needed to be patient because "all good shops are busy" and to "enjoy your rental car." I gave them a week and never heard back. I called the shop and got the receptionist who took down my info and called me back with an "update" that they haven't gotten to my car yet. I kept calling every few days and it was the same run around. I would only talk to the receptionist, who got the info from someone else but couldn't answer any questions. When pressed for an answer, the receptionist would have to call me back after talking to someone in the know. I would never speak to someone who could tell me answer. Eventually on one of my calls they told me there was a chance my car could be totaled, which surprised me considering I was never told what was really wrong with my car in the first place. I asked for a copy of the estimate but was told they couldn't give it to me until my insurance looked at the car. Eventually they told me my car wouldn't be totaled and the issues could be fixed They said it would be another week or so before it was fixed. I finally got a call saying that my car could be ready for pickup the Friday before Christmas. I told them I couldn't pick it up then because I was out of state and could pick it up the day after Christmas. They said great...that Wednesday I called them confirming I was good to pick it up and they said yes but they were finishing it up and it should be ready by the time I got there. I got down there to pick it up and the car still wasn't ready AND they don't accept credit cards (which I was never told). Cash or check only. So went back to my place, came back and finally my car was ready after almost a full month. I was ready to let the poor customer service go by the wayside because this place comes highly awarded for their work. However a day later it was discovered the door they replaced was put on wrong (metal was hitting metal when opening) This caused another trip back there. My wife took my car down there and had a terrible experience with them. They essentially tried to say it wasn't a problem despite the sound of the door being open. Eventually a nice mechanic realized it was a minor fix and corrected the issue. This place embodies terrible customer service. I will point out the car seems fine after a few weeks but I still don't even fully know what they fixed. I normally don't yelp reviews but felt the need to warn future customers of what you are getting yourself into if you go here. I don't have a place I would recommend going to but I know in the future I will recommend to all friends & family they go anywhere BUT Car Craft. read more

There may be no receptionist if you go before 9. - they do not take credit cards. Check or cash or insurance. - customer service really depends on who you see. Some of the guys are very friendly. Some (I think I had Ken, who is a mechanic, tall guy) were very competent. - I usually have to wait from a couple minutes to 10 minutes even at 8am (ugh). - I've had my car fixed there twice (once was someone else's fault for backing into my parked car) and they handled the insurance just fine. However, the receptionist tried to take down my insurance information. Enterprise Rent-A-Car also picked up the rental car from that location. I think they could have been a little more communicative in the process (especially as the car's repairs were done). - The second time, my dad accidentally went into a parking meter and cracked the Prius' rear right lens. Unfortunately that costs a pretty penny to replace the whole thing, usually like $200-250 for a normal one and the LED is more (around $325). They charged us around that, about a 1/3 hour for service plus tax, total around $400. They took care of it on the spot (I don't think I waited 20 minutes). - Joe Ducharme emailed me an estimate and I responded but he forgot to place the order (slipped his mind) so I had to make an extra trip to drop off the car. - Overall, I was pleased with their work and they were competent. I have brought two cars to car craft after major accidents. Unfortunately, both of them had to be totaled. The staff at car craft were very helpful in dealing with the insurance company. When the insurance company wanted to give me less than what I thought the car was worth, car craft, along with my agent, went to bat for me and helped get me the money I deserved. I also broke the back door handle of my truck. I brought it to car craft, they ordered the part and it was fixed within 1 day. A friend recommended I take my wife's car here after she got sandwiched on the interstate. The place seemed busy and Wiley was courteous. The repair took a while, but not unreasonably so. He said he would "do what it takes" to get the car back on the road. I liked what I heard, and he said they guaranty their work 100%. When we went to pick up the car, we noticed the new bumper wasn't fully attached. He took it in the back, and 5 minutes later, it was attached. We left, and it came detached again. We also notice while they replaced the bumper and the muffler, they did nothing to the damaged trunk, and the front bumper was still scraped and detached on one corner. We went back, he gave us some speech about how he thought we knew he wouldn't fix the trunk or any of that because he 'did what it took' not to total the car. He seemed courteous, took it, and repaired the trunk in a few days. We picked it up, returned the rental car, and left. The front bumper was still not fixed at all, (we didnt' push that subject when we return the car, so they weren't asked to fix that the second time) and the trunk was repainted and clear coated so poorly that i cut my finger on the bottom of the trunk opening it. The clear coat actually formed a sharp edge under the trunk. I dont' know how they did it, but I was sick of dealing with them, and we couldn't pay for a rental car much longer. After taking it to a different shop later for unrelated mechanical repairs, they pointed out the rear bumper isn't staying attached because Car Craft didn't straighten the rear quarter panel all the way. This was roughly a year ago, and now many places they repainted are rusting really bad. VERY poor quality work. Wiley seemed good dealing with us as customers (never talked to Paul) but I know now it was an act. They mostly fixed the damage, but only after misleading us, and charging the insurance company to the limit of totaling the car. That friend who recommended this place has since had similar problems, and is also never going back. read more

I've had 4 jobs done here ranging from a small to major. The worst was a side-on front end collision that crunched deep into the engine compartment of my Volvo S80. The car was a body and mechanical mess. I expected (and hoped) it was a total wreck but Paul said it could be fixed and quickly worked everything out with my insurance company and made it new again. This is my third experience with Car Craft repairing one of my cars. They have always provided me with the highest level of expertise with their collision work and especially with their paint work. One of my automobiles is a Lexus and the way they blend the paint in with the original paint job is hard to believe, fantastic, you cannot tell the difference. They are ALWAYS courteous and, unlike many other shops, honest with their assessment of when you will be able to pick up your car. It is hard for me to think of a more responsible and capable Collision Shop, which I can highly recommend to my family and friends without limitation. My regular bodyshop is no longer in service so I used the referral from the insurance company to use CarCraft. This has the presence of being a very convenient service center with their relationship with Hertz and the insurance company however their execution of who they profess to be in customer service is lacking. My car has been in the shop for nearly a month and I don't know when I'll get it back. I'm paying for the loaner out of pocket so every day is another ka-ching. I sure hope my car looks good when it gets finished...but at this point, I do not think I will either use them again or refer them to others. This was a very disappointing and costly experience for a relatively simple repair. Communications with the customer on car status is the greatest need for improvement. read more

I am pleased to say that all my expectations were fully met.
