I do NOT recommend CU Auto Solution. Although their logo-motto reads "Low Prices Ahead " & their…read morewebsite boasts that Auto Solution "can often negotiate the purchase price at or near dealer invoice or wholesale so you save big!" I very nearly lost a couple thousand dollars to them. Please read what follows if you're interested in specific details. I also informed my credit union about my bad experience, as they originally referred me to them. My sincere advice to anybody planning to deal with this company: PRACTICE DUE DILIGENCE. At the bare minimum, check Kelly Blue Book online for values and for cars currently for sale. As for myself, I had contacted CU Auto Solution online & an Auto Broker rep phoned back pretty quickly. The woman seemed nice & asked for more details on what I wanted. Proceeded to tell me I was looking for a "unicorn"... meaning something hard to find and especially in the $10,000 range I specified. So I said I'd consider a slightly higher price if need be. I give this company one star extra for her timely & pleasant first call. I asked what their service would cost me and she said no cost to me. She'd get paid $150, which wouldn't be my expense. In a subsequent email I asked her "How does this whole process work?" I was never informed of any other included cost - not by her or their website - whether it be for inspections, warranty?, delivery?, whatever. Their service was introduced to me as one of the benefits of being a credit union member. Soon after her call, she emailed me about a car she found: met my requirements and beyond...in "immaculate" condition...price of $12, 900. Sounded good, notwithstanding the higher price. I was seriously considering it. Wrote her back with some questions, including "Is this price negotiable? How do I make an offer?" Her answer: "The price is already negotiated so you don't make an offer the price is what it is." Okay. But doing minimal "due diligence," I checked Kelly Blue Book online. Entered every detail she gave me, top of the line, low mileage, etc. The highest Dealer Fair Market Price came in at $10,953...Fair Purchase Price was $9,683. Spot on to what I had asked for and quite a bit less than the "pre-negotiated" $12,900 price I was given. Then I clicked on Kelly Blue Book's similar cars in my area currently for sale. Wow. There was the EXACT same car she described, even down to the same color. Had the same mileage, was the same model... identical features, year, condition...and sitting on a Dealer lot in the very town she said the car came from! Asking price? $11,530. And that's before any "negotiating" at all. On the same day, but before I was able to email her back, she wrote me again. "It sold to someone else." That's all it said. Not very professional, in my opinion. Nothing to soften the blow of "losing out." No offer to continue looking for me and didn't even ask if I'd like her to. Emailed the other car dealership about the car I found on Kelly Blue Book's website to see if it was still available. They replied it had just sold a little before I emailed. Almost certainly, this was the same car that Auto Solutions was offering. If so, I could have purchased it directly from the dealer for a minimum of $1,370 LESS. More likely, a negotiated price (which is the norm) would have saved me closer to $2,000! If it was not the same vehicle, then it was an identical twin "unicorn" at a significantly lower price. Thanks, but no thanks to "Low Prices Ahead" CU Auto Solution.

It was hard for me to part with my car as I really loved that old thing, and Stefanie was patient and never pushy for me to make a decision. Finally I came back around to Stefanie again this past December and traded in my Element for an Accord. She did almost all of the work - crunched numbers and made it happen for me. I didn't have an ideal situation for car buying, but she is always non-judgmental and helpful none the less. Now this is not some fluffy froo-froo car dealership with the flashy signs and the free (stale) popcorn, but they get the job done and they do so quickly and without the hassle and sales tactics of a more traditional dealership. I will refer Stefanie to others that are looking for a very easy and stress-free car transaction.

Unfortunately, the second purchased car had some issues come up fast. I was told by another shop it was going to cost me a huge amount just for diagnosis. So I sat on it a couple days and decided it's been less than 30 days I'll call Gilbert. Filled him in. By end of day I was in a loaner car and he was getting to the bottom of the cars issues. Not only did the price shrink greatly but they covered it and told me to bring it back if it comes up again! All around great service! Thanks again! I'm back on the road

So defensive it put me in fight or flight regarding taxes on a gifted van. They wouldn't talk to me. Shut me and my concern down as not worth it. Why must one get into their personal story just to get them to lift their sharpie again? I mean, it was an overpriced vehicle with transmission issues (plus a leaking back gate) that kicked in as soon as it got the interstate. They do have the extra wages tucked in double price to re-issue paperwork to the true buyer, which was not me. Iam very concerned they ripped off my father. I could have bought this same vehicle on AUCTION for half the cost and trouble. Thankfully, after having to over share and push envelopes, they finally helped (my dad, and not me). Avoid this place of you're not a pushover female, desire fair treatment and appreciate respect-for-respect for your life. Look up your local auto auction, and save yourself the time and cost. You'll also appreciate that you're bidding on the same cars this dealer and others probably are. I love bidding out the dealers because you will typically have more money to invest in the bottom line of YOUR vehicle.

He wasn't pushy and unfortunately the car we wanted was purchased as we were driving there, but he was very genuine and just asked if we were interested in looking at any other colors which ultimately landed us a really nice digital teal ioniq 5. During the walk around and test drive, he spoke very well to the cars features and showed us exactly how to use them which I haven't really experienced at other dealerships. He also owned a Hyundai so was very familiar with their craft. Overall, really appreciated his help in the buying process and if I or someone I know is ever in the market for a Hyundai, he'll be the first person I seek out!

Dick Hannah Hyundai of Portland has a huge inventory of new Hyundai vehicles, and this is why I…read morechose this dealership for my vehicle purchase. They had EXACTLY what I wanted, and offered a much lower-than-expected price. As is typically the case, the finance department pushes VERY hard for add-on "protection packages", and adds everything available to their offer sheet, and then there's the usual back-and-forth to understand what they're trying to sell, and more effort than should be required from the purchaser to have them remove what's not wanted. I'd MUCH prefer to be given a list of what's on offer, and chose which, if any, I want, and have those added. The salesman who took care of me was quite good. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I also appreciated his follow-up after the sale. The biggest negative that I can point out is the size of the business...it's very small, especially considering the huge number of cars in their inventory. Maneuvering in the lot is tricky, and inventory is packed in very tightly. This also makes for a very small purchase / finance area. You won't find the expansive, inviting, luxurious environment that most other dealerships these days have, and the chairs are cheap, uncomfortable plastic. With that said, though, I'm overall very happy with my purchase (the car is SPECTACULAR), and recommend Dick Hannah Hyundai of Portland if you're in the market for a new vehicle.

Frankly, we didn't notice because the account is dedicated to paying the loan, and we don't look at it all the time. Instead of contacting us immediately to let us know the payments didn't go through, they let us go on for 3 months then affected my credit report by 60 points. The customer service representatives refused to help me or reverse the report even though we always made payments previously and made the late payments as soon as we found out the originals did not go through. Which was only after looking at my credit report. They never notified us. They insist notices were sent in the mail, but we never received them. This is horrible customer service. Had we been alerted via a simple phone call, email, or message in the online banking portal, this would have been resolved immediately. Now my credit has significantly dropped, and the negative report will be on my credit for the next 7 years. Onpoint Community Credit Union needs to start contacting customers immediately when a loan payment is missed via phone call, email, and messages on the online banking portal. This used to be a great credit union; now it is worse than a big bank. We are paying the loan off early and closing our accounts with them as soon as possible. Put your money elsewhere.

They were given 1-week to get me the final amount owed which would have fallen on 7/17. She called on 7/13 and stated that she didn't know that the dealership had to pay back a portion of the extended warranty refund but would get a check out to me right away. She waited 4 days to mail it and then mailed it to the wrong address even after I gave both herself and one of her staff the correct address. Alexis then emailed letting me know the check had been returned and at the advice of my attorney, since the requested receive-by date has passed, was advised to request that she overnight the check to me. It has been received now and they no longer own me anything. Check your extended warranty folks if you bought a car from them and a warranty, if you got rid of the car early, you may be owed money. UPDATED 7/10/2023: Heard back from the extended warranty company and Gold Star kept over $1000 of my extended warranty refund which is a Class C felony in the state of Oregon. I have contacted the police and an attorney! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE CROOKS!!!! If I could give them negative stars, I would. I got scammed into buying a car with a bad head gasket, slipping tranny and a multitude of other issues. If you get into the car and it has tons of little air freshener swatches in it, AVOID! I imagine they were trying to cover up the smell of oil....the car was dirty, hadn't been detailed, had ZERO gas in it and the battery was bad. After owning it less than 72 hours it left me stranded in the Jimmy John's parking lot where I ironically was meeting Alexis to finish signing my extended warranty paperwork. When I asked her for some assistance, she basically said there wasn't anything she could do, shrugged and left me there to deal with an inoperative car. Also, DO NOT make the same mistake I did and trust them to be transparent about your loan. I had been approved at other dealerships for similar amounts at less than 10% interest so I stupidly trusted them to have similar terms. Boy was I wrong!! It's my own fault for not checking before signing but they count on people not asking. My interest rate is almost 30%!!! Thievery!!! That on top of the $200 I had to fork out for a new battery and $500 to have it detailed, the thousands it would cost to have it fixed because they use a low end extended warranty company....I got out of the car as fast as I could. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! Updating again as I just received my refund back from the crappy extended warranty company this dealership uses and it was $1000 less than was I was told I would get back after owning the piece of shit they sold me for ONLY 3 MONTHS!!!!! Nearly a $1500 penalty for paying off a warranty early and only having coverage for 3 months? I call BULL SHIT!! I will be filing complaints against this dealership with the BBB and telling everyone I know DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!! I know I hold some responsibility for rushing through the buying process and not asking the right questions but this place is a den of SNAKES and will rob you blind if they can get away with it! It's almost a year later and now I'm looking at another $1800 in repairs if not more. It is so discouraging to know there are people out there like Alexis and Terry at Gold Star Auto. People who are so deceitful. Truly how do they sleep at night? I almost feel sorry for them, what a horrible life they must lead, to be able to treat others with such disrespect& dishonest.
