Let's start by saying.i liked feduke/Williams ford until recently...I bought my last 3 vehicles…read morefrom them..as recently as 4 months ago....I went to trade in the second car I bought at Volkswagen dealer right next door and that's where I became furious...when they were figuring out trade In value for my 2017 vw jetta with less than 89000 miles and with another year of warranty left on it..the salesman said carfax said it had 2 owners ago minor structural damage so they weren't gonna give me more than 2500 dollars..I specifically asked about car fax to fedukes salesman and if it was in any accidents.i was told NO..of course I ran next door to williams pissed off..all the same managers that were there when it was feduke...well manager said we will make things right.just have to find you a car on price range because of negative equity..well a few weeks later I saw a car and went there because noone contacted me..started application process and even these people tried giving me 2500 for trade in even after knowing they screwed me..had him double that and lower price of car to make it work...he comes back saying he couldn't get it approved...I find out it's because these jokers only put my app through to visions and one other bank they partner with who are very hard to get approved through..I go back and ask for purchase order so I can take it to a bank.and what they gave me was the original offer and price...so the weekend comes and I call salesman back on Monday to see if he can make that purchase order again ...he tells me they throw away paperwork after a day..this is even knowing I'm trying to get my own financing.... so I have been to 3 other dealerships since and same thing,noone wants to take my car.....because of fedukes/williams sales tactics....they straight lied to me and screwed me....even though I bought 3 cars from them,I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM. THEY ALL HAD TO KNOW ABOUT THAT CARFAX BECAUSE WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT THE CAR.THEY WERE PUTTING A NEW BUMPER COVER ON..THATS WHAT MADE ME ASK ABOUT ANY ACCIDENTS...SHAME ON ALL OF YOU AT WILLIAMS....

This is a small used car dealer/repair shop in vestal NY. They have maybe 25 cars on the lot,…read moremostly 3-5 years old. Their webpage was up to date and spot on with the photos, descriptions and the asking prices were the same as the prices given in person. The best part of it was their site was up to date with their stock, a big problem for most of the car dealers I have dealt with over the years. Richard (son of Carlo, who I also met briefly) was very thorough in his presentation of the car, both in it's history, all the work they did to it to ready it for sale (he showed me the invoices!) I am a licensed auto appraiser, and as an occupational hazard I pick out flaws in any cars fit and finish. Richard was telling them to me even before I pointed them out. I've never had a dealer be so honest and up front about a vehicle they were trying to sell. He allowed my wife and I to take a lengthy test drive...by ourselves...so we could put the car through it's paces. He even recommended a place we could each lunch, as we were not from the area. I am an educated buyer, I knew exactly what I wanted and what a fair price would be. The actual negotiation was easy, I made a fair offer and he accepted it. No BS, no tricks, nothing other than "that's fair, I can do that" I've bought a ton of cars in my life, both new and used. This was by far the best purchase experience that I have ever had. I've had the car for just about a month now, had zero issues with it and I could not be happier with the experience. The next time I go shopping, they will be first on my list.

Matthews refused to help at all, even though the rental was through their account. We call a tow truck and find a close Volkswagen dealer to bring the car. I called ahead and they said they were busy but could certainly pull the codes to find out what was happening. Upon arrival they immediately put a tech on it and he rapidly diagnosed a faulty alternator. I went into the service counter to decide what to do with the car and it turns out it was lucky for me that the Service Manager was in on his day off to take care of a few things. He immediately hatched a plan to get the alternator in house quickly and asked a tech to stay late to get us back on the road. Wow what great luck, but it turns out it was too good to be true, the alternator was not available locally, but they could get it by Monday. The service manager came up with another great plan to get us going. We leave the car for service and we get an enterprise rental car to get going and he will arrange for our car to be delivered to us in Rhode Island for a nominal fee. He calls Enterprise to get us a car (they close in 20 minutes) and then drives us to the rental place in his own car, waits for us to obtain the car before leaving, shakes our hand and we are back on the road. The car was repaired for less than the quoted price and is on its way back to me now. I cannot say enough good things about the service department at Matthews on the Parkway in Vestal, NY. You may not need what I did, but they will certainly bend over backwards to help you.

Before we even put the car in…read morepark there was someone standing at the window ready to begin plugging how good of a deal he could get us. Right away we were bombarded with questions and it was relentless. You could tell he was on commission. After an uncomfortable amount of time listening to him talk we were directed to the financing guy who seemed even shadier. He was very cocky about how he could get everyone approved for a loan. We came looking for a specific SUV that was well in our budget but he kept giving the finance companies info on a totally different car that we absolutely didn't want but was of course about $4000 more. Needless to say we were not approved and then just cut loose without so much as a thank you for coming. The service department is just as bad. I had an appointment for an oil change but my car didn't go in until an hour and a half later. Why bother having appointments? After my appointment I opened the hood to put washer fluid in since they couldn't bother to top off fluids and I noticed my oil cap was missing. I went back and spoke with the service manager who confronted the mechanic. The mechanic argued that he put the cap on and got visibly annoyed with me. The service manager was nice enough to get me a new oil cap and came out with me to put it on. We discovered the old one lodged in the hood liner above the dent in my PCM it made from him shutting the hood on it. Aside from that one service manager, nobody in that place knows how to listen. I will never set foot on that lot again.
