It's been a year since i bought a car from them. I bought 2011 Audi S4 on july, 2023. The day i went to see the car and test drove it, the battery died and it has tire pressure sensor on the dashboard. The day after i bought the car, the a/c stopped working and the wheels were unbalanced. Both of them got fixed even with new battery installed by the dealership but they didn't fix it beforehand which was suspecious. A month later, one of the tire blew up and the tire pressure sensor was right about it, so i changed all four tires since it's an awd. It also failed the Maryland Inspection because the car had several issues, one of them was windshield had a small crack, front brakes needed to be changed, and all four tires were installed correctly before buying the car. 4 months later, the car had coolant problem, coolant would dissappear into the engine, no leak so changed pcv valve. Then few months later had to change thermostat and waterpump because temperature on the dashboard used to rise, overheating. Then recently, there would be oil leak from the engine, so had to change Valve Cover Gasket. The car was a lemon car in the beginning. They never told me the issues before buying the car, and the issues started popping up on the day i went to see the car. They did me dirty. I bought a vehicle from them a few months ago. Firstly, the first person that I spoke to said that there was a 30 day warranty on my vehicle. After getting home and looking at my paperwork the fine print said I waived all warranties. My fault for not reading more closely. I would give this dealership ZERO stars if I could. I bought this car in cash in early March 2023. I was told they had the title at another one of their locations and that the process would be quick. I asked before I bought the car if they had a warranty and i was told I could buy a 3-year warranty though someone else, but they had a year warranty on the battery, engine, and transmission. I signed a paper saying they was not any warranty but was told that was for Toyota not them. the first problem i had was my temporary tags were expiring and i hadn't heard anything from them. I called and was told they would be getting an extension, and I would receive a new temporary tag. i waited for a few days then called back because the tags were now expired, and I still hadn't received anything. they told me that the tags were on the way and that it was updated in the system, and I could drive without the new ones here yet. I do door dash and didn't want to risk it so i didn't work and two weeks later I still had no tags i was given the run around and i eventually asked to speak directly to the person who handles the tags, Ron. Ron told me that the tags must have gotten lost, and he'd be sending it back out. i called a week later because still nothing and it's been almost a month this point, and he requested a new set of tags while on the phone with me. they were sent and i received them the next day. the expiration on the new set was ten days after i received them. i called back to get answers because i was going out of town the week. they told me they'd request a new set again and those got denied. they gave me a set of dealer tags on the day it expired and then months went by and i called off and on to find out what was happening with my tags. i was told they were waiting for the title that was being sent from Texas and then when they finally received it, they were waiting for a lean release. i called every week because it was getting ridiculous and every week, they had no answer. I had to call for them to tell me that they got the lean release and then they said they request the tags. i called for about two weeks and they told me that they had the tags and wanted me to come get them. I was busy that week and wouldn't have time to come get them for a week. i asked them to send them to me and i would send back the dealer tags. they wanted me to send them the dealer tags in fed ex one day shipping but i received my tags in a week in regular mail. I was told and even asked a few times if it was tags and title, they told me yes and i only received tags so i called back the next day and asked and Ron said that they don't send the title the state does. the tags i received expired in two weeks but when i got the car they said they handle all of that so i was confused. it took a week and a half to get the title and when went to renew them it needed to be safety inspected even though i was told that was already done. i went to go get the safety inspection and my check engine light came on. i went to AutoZone instead to check the engine code and it was for a sensor. i went back to my car and it wouldn't start. i immediately called Car legends because I remembered what Erika (the same person who sold me the car) told me about the warranty and they told me "No the warranty is for 30 days - 3 months". I said i was told something different and she told me they're warranty has always been that way. They have been zero help this entire six months. the oil looked like it hadn't been changed in a year the car is shaking and rumbling like it was fixed enough to sell. It's ridiculous for a check engine light to come on and in the same hour the car to completely stop working. i paid 7000 dollars for a car and have had trouble with the company since. they tell a million lies to get you to buy the car and they fix it just enough to no longer be they're problem. read more

Purchased a Ford F-150 a month a a half ago and STILL waiting on the actual hard plates!! According to Ron he went to DMV to pick up the "already purchased" plates only to be told to return at the end of the week which was 3 work days ago. We have NOT heard nothing from him. Why would DMV ask a dealer to return to get something already paid for when you're right there in their face? Give me a break. There definitely is something shady going on here. Now you don't answer the phone when we call. There is someone's call you WILL answer! Buyer be ware of Car Legends in Stanford VA. Ron even lied to us about the year of the vehicle which makes a difference when getting loan approval. The truck came inspected however should not have passed. Buyers Beware!! Get vehicle inspected prior to purchase. I checked this vehicle out with a fine tooth comb for 2 hrs and went for a test drive. Even brought my mirror and flash light. Truck was as advertised, very clean, and comfortable. (Unless trying to make lemonade) pretty good place for the with the amount of junk cars being sold. 18 year old bf wrecked truck, found one from here, bought It get on the road and we are surprised the truck made it home!! No oil what so ever (check the oil) windshield washer is water, every single bolt is stripped off on the truck. Frame was painted over so it didt look like it had rust, drove an hour there and then realized it was false advertisement. don't have a place to check 4wd. Go figure the 4wd don't work in the truck had to fix ourselves be after it leaves there parking lot they don't want anything to do with there buyers. These bitches are CROOKS, I would give anything for 5 minutes in an empty room with Tee or any of these low lifes, that includes the OWNER) THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE REVIEWS ARE HORRENDUS! This place is full of con artists and crooks...not even a year later I have had issues...Replaced starter, fuel pump, brakes/rotors, failed ECM, intermittent flashing of dash lights, car door lock mechanism was broke and not fixed and now the icing on the cake, the transmission completely bombed on me. To put it in perspective for you...I found out that Car Legends purchased the vehicle in March 2018...which is when I purchased it from them (which was literally DAYS after they received the car as a trade in). So common sense would tell you they purchased the vehicle and sold it ASAP without checking anything other than 'does it run'. They also lied to the bank and said I gave them $2000 down (red flag) and told me to lie about my home address (red flag). Also once I gave them the $2000 they overcharged my account $10 and never refunded it. Now a year later I'm stuck with a brick of a car that needs thousands of dollars in repairs. BUYER BEWARE! Buyer Beware! - Very dishonest! It is important that you know we read multiple reviews of Car Legends before purchasing. We saw some negative reviews but ultimately thought the good ones outweighed them. I'm writing this to tell you that it isn't worth the risk - buy elsewhere. We purchased a 2005 Yukon Denali XL from Car Legends in January of 2018. As part of the purchase they agreed to touch up paint, replace the sun roof gasket, repair the instrument cluster, and give it an oil change. Additionally we were told they had rebuilt the transmission, and would have emissions & inspections done before pickup. We signed paperwork, paid, and were told the vehicle would be ready in 2 weeks - just in time for a family trip. The next few weeks consisted of issues and delays in completing the repair work. At the 3 week mark with the vehicle not ready the manager (Ron) offered to take the cluster console from another Yukon and temporarily place it in ours until our repaired unit arrived. I pointed out that what he was suggesting was illegal as it would change the mileage tracking for both vehicles. He wasn't but I pushed back. At this point they offered the temporary use on another vehicle. After jumping through insurance and paperwork hoops we picked up the other vehicle only to have the brakes seize while on the highway. A few more weeks and we are finally picking up our Yukon. After an hour at the dealership waiting while they "got it ready" (this included FILLING up the gas tank). Driving the vehicle away I see that the gas indicator is on E. I call them (concerned that the cluster console wasn't working - after all I saw them fill it up). They told me they would get it in the following week to check it. Later in the day I see the gas light come on, so I decide to try to fill it myself - the tank had been empty the whole time, there was no issue with the gauge. I noticed that the sun roof gasket hadn't been replaced and called to speak with the owner (Norr). He apologizes and assures me this isn't how they operate and he will correct it - he gives me his word, and emphasizes how significant his word is. He gives me his guarantee that if I have any significant issues with the vehicle on my upcoming trip he will take it back and issue a full refund. The next day I drove the vehicle out of state. I notice the engine is progressively sounding worse and worse. Eventually warnings pop up on the console. I call Car Legends and speak with Ron (The manager). He tells me to try and drive it home and he will try to get someone to look at it the following week. I carefully drive the vehicle home (the whole time it sounds like a freight train). I decide to take it to my local GMC shop to have them look at it before bringing it to Car Legends. They tell me that the oil in the engine is sludge - it doesn't look to have been changed in a very long time and that is the reason for my issue (the engine was beginning to seize). They also inform me that Car Legends hadn't performed the state inspection or emissions and there were numerous repairs for it to pass. I contact Car Legends and they blame the shop they do business with. They take it for another couple of weeks to have the repairs done. It comes back with valid state inspection and emissions paperwork and Ron reviews the work they had done (emphasizing they replaced ALL of the brake lines instead of just pieces of them. Given our previous issues, I bring the vehicle back to my GMC dealer and have them check it out. The repairs Car Legends indicated had been done were not done correctly, and the vehicle shouldn't have passed state inspection. The state police get involved and document all of this (I'm happy to share the report if you send me a request). I pay GMC to repair everything correctly (and have yet to be reimbursed by Car Legends). A few months later the transmission starts to slip. I had purchased a a powertrain warranty with the vehicle so I contacted them to arrange repair. The company had no record of the purchase. I called Norr & Ron at Car Legends and after looking into it they tell me there was an error and the payment was "never sent". Over the course of a few more days they get it straightened out and the repairs are completed. Through this experience I found the following: 1.) The Car Legends team consistently lies and fails to uphold their agreements 2.) The Car Legends team doesn't know have any mechanical knowledge or aptitude to quality check vehicles they purchase, or verify repairs are completed 3.) They do business with questionable repair shops 4.) They cut corners regularly 5.) They operate in a way that defrauds the customer Not worth the risk - go elsewhere! read more

The car was in the shop because they were "changing the fluids" I should have gone with my gut because when I drove off the lot the check engine light popped on because of a catalytic converter problem. They definitely CLEARED THE CODE before I got to see the car. They paid for the cat after I bugged them about it. Still had to do work on the car after replacing the cat and whole exhaust system. EXTREMELY DISHONEST!!!! Do not deal with this dealership!! Drove from Delaware to Virginia to pick up our truck. On the way home, we noticed that it was not aligned as it was pulling us across the road. Also, started blowing blue smoke out the back. Within less than 2 weeks we walked outside to about 1 gallon of oil on the ground. Looked underneath and it's full of JB Weld on the oil pan. On top of all of this, it seems as though the turbo isn't working. Called dealership and spoke to the manager. He was EXTREMELY rude! Tried to tell us it was in excellent shape, then said it was a used vehicle and "you get what you get." Told us that there is no warranty. Heck, even a junkyard gives you a 30 day warranty!! He gave us the number for the extended warranty dept. We called them and they have a $500 deductible. Told us that we need to take the vehicle to a certified mechanic to see what's wrong and depending on what it is, it may not be covered.
