It's been two months since I wrote the update. After spending $2500 on a transmission, I am now spending $1000 for two new ball bearings and suspension work. Please read the BBB reviews on this place before you do business with John. I read only the reviews on his website which are clearly handpicked. This 2010 Subaru with 120k miles for $9000 has now cost me an additional $5000 in one year. I have all the receipts. I was sold a lemon--please don't make the mistake I did. read more

Total scam of a place sold us a car and then refused to take it back when we noticed issues with it didn't register it or get the sticker within the 7days of a window for mass I highly suggest going to another place I am a disabled veteran on limited income so went here hoping that we could get something decent instead we got taken advantage of John is nice while you are in the buying process but once that is done he is a total jerk he doesn't stand by anything he says or promises he sells junk boxes and doesn't disclose the issues with them so your responsible for them after total scam of a place go somewhere else to save ya self the trouble read more

Let me tell you " So we went to see a nice car it was beautiful we love it and everything we where so happy to have a new baby. The dealer was like1hour away from home but guess what one day after we pick up the car was giving us issues. So we told them that the car was having issues they told us bring it to us we fixed it. We bring it out to him and guess what they keep it for about 3 days then they told us everything was fix come pick up your car. That was excited for us but guess what 20 mins before getting home the lights appears on the screen "dashboard "again. We bring the car twice to them already now it has been 8 days that they have the car and we don't even have a answer went the car should be ready. We have been talking to lemon law Massachusetts laws because this is so stressful to be paying Uber. Come on it has been a month already and we haven't even used the car once. "Either they fix the car or give us our money back" we pay around 11k for the car So all we need is a good car that will work for couple years. read more

This week, I was taking care of some maintenance on my wife's 2004 Subaru Outback. As I was going through records we keep on the car, I came across the sales agreement/bill of sale for the car, which we purchased used from here in May of 2014. I went on Yelp and noticed no one had written a review for them, so here's mine: In spring of 2014, my wife was shopping for a used car. We looked at and drove a Subaru Outback wagon from a used car lot in Rhode Island, but the car had issues, so we passed on it. My wife, however, fell in love with the car, so we were on a mission to find the same exact model. Most Subaru Outbacks have a 4-cylinder engine, but we were looking for one with a peppier 6-cylinder engine, and a limited edition one at that. We looked at car listings from private sellers and dealers, and I test drove two other cars at used-car dealers, but was not impressed with either car. Then, we saw a listing for the car we wanted at The Car Palace. The car only had 104,000 miles, and even better, it had rear quarters with no body rot, and a heated windshield with no cracks (two common problems with these model cars). We test drove the car; it ran great, and the price was reasonable, so we decided to buy it. I did notice that one of the transaxle boots was torn, so the owner agreed, in writing, to replace the axle. I returned a week or so later, and true to his word, he replaced the axle, and gave the car a Rhode Island inspection sticker. The entire buying experience at Car Palace was very laid-back, with no pressure ... everything went smoothly. And, they sold us a quality car that has stood the test of time. My wife has had it more than 3-1/2 years and put approximately another 36,000 miles on it, and it has been a very reliable vehicle, needing only normal wear items such as tires and brakes. I would like to thank John for being such a great person. I have been searching for 6 months for the right truck at the right price. On Tuesday I saw a truck he had on KBB site, called and talked to John who stated it was still in stock and come in any time, he also said we close at 6 but I will stay late if you need. I showed up an hour later, was friendly greeted and had great conversation about me, him, my family, and his business. After taking the truck for a test drive I asked if he could hold it a few days and he said absolutely, just let him know. No pressure, no lies, no sales tactics, just pure honesty. I showed back on Thursday to fill out the paperwork, quick and easy process, explained I would be back Friday to pay and take the truck. Showed back on Friday and completed the transaction nice and easy. The truck is mint, well cleaned, well maintained. After the transaction we talked for a while about BS, and then I explained I would be back in a few months to get a car to replace the wife, let him know what she was looking for and he said he would search for the perfect car. If you were looking for a car Dealership that prides itself on reputation, then Car Palace is the place to go. We were in the market to buy our twins their very first cars. They had different preferences, and we happened to find both at Car Palace. John was very helpful, kind and understanding. There was no hassle and he was easy to deal with. The first car was a 1999 Subaru with low mileage. The price was fair and he agreed to fix one thing that was wrong with it. Our second vehicle that we bought with him was a 2002 Volkswagen beetle again with low mileage. This car appeared to be fine and only had a lining issue that he agreed to repair and we thought we were all set. After our purchase, we were on our way home when the engine light came on. This is the beginning of a series of engine light issues that we'd had with the car and each time we brought it to Car Palace, he quickly fixed the situation in a very friendly manner. He even gave my young daughter some cash for gas. In our 3rd week, we felt like we had enough. John was not ready to give up though. He paid for our vehicle to be inspected thoroughly by a dealership close to us (we live in Warwick) and discovered a long list of needed repairs. My daughter was discouraged and we were ready to be done, but John said to trust him and he was in it with us. He would stand by his car and stand by his customers and fix everything. True to his word, that is what they did. At our request, he even extended his personal warranty to help us feel comfortable with the new repairs. So far so good. Everything seems fine and we are about 3 weeks post repairs. We highly recommend Car Palace. They have been in business for over 30 years and with their customer service as excellent as it is, I believe they will have at least 30 more!!!! read more
