Worst experience ever I purchased a acura RDX on Wednesday 12.10. On Thursday 12.11. I realized this car was not for me. Yes I should have done more research before signing. More so I should have looked at their other reviews and reports against them with the better business bureau. I thought being one day after purchasing I would be able to return the car. They offer a 5-day satisfaction guarantee on their websites. After being unable to reach my salesperson and finding out he was out of office. I tried to reach a manager. No luck. The next day my sales person reached out. He said he wished he could help but the car was already registered. I took this as understandable until I reached out to the RI DMV and confirmed it was not registered. Finally after calling them out on this. I was offered a swap for a lower model car. Still basically at the same payments. I finally was able to reach a manager. I explained the whole situation. He went down on the price of the lower model car by not nearly enough. I explained at this point I just want to return the car and unwind the deal. He told me that was too bad and I was contracted in. I am a local guy who has been with Honda/Acura for over a decade. I am very pleased with Speedcraft Acura, as I have purchased two new vehicles here. They did give me the best price I could find within a 400 mile radius in 2020 on a new MDX A Spec. There was no messing around and no time wasted, as Juan did all of the dirty work and got us in and out with the right numbers. I have also had my TL maintenance done here. I have had no complaints...they make sure everything is done right. They used to have some good coupons for scheduled maintenance in the past, but the prices seem to have gone up. I had my timing belt done on my TL for around $800 when you get a coupon like that from a great dealership, you just get it done. They have a great waiting room and usually have loaner cars if you buy cars here. I look forward to doing more business with Speedcraft Acura in the future. read more

THIS IS A VERY LONG REVIEW, But this is a log that I have kept from the start of my dealings with Speed Craft Acura until after my purchase of my car and all communication with Mike Hamilton (General Sales Manager) and Heleno Miranda (Finance Manager) December 26th 2023-March 8th 2023 MY CRAZY UNNECESSARY EXPERIENCE WITH SPEED CRAFT ACURA When I first met with Mike Hamilton my first impression of him was he was a nice down to earth guy and wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase (if I made one) and he seemed to make me feel like I was going to get a great deal.(of course I know that's what salespeople do to make their money) and I was willing to give him an exceptional review until I started to realize what they were doing to me and that they didn't really care about how I was treated and the money they were stealing from me, they care about their commission more (and I get that) but does not give them a right to screw me over and try to take every cent from me by not being honest with me when selling me a vehicle. So yes Mike I will say has a great (convincing) personality but I cannot give him or this dealership a good review because they took advantage of me. So if your looking to purchase a vehicle please do your research, check all the reviews and the BBB complaints (there is one similar to mine) before me buying a vehicle from them.( which I did not know about until after I made my purchase.) They are going to tell you the vehicles already come with things installed on them like the wheel locks and Vin etching that cannot be removed and you have to pay as he is adding the amount in on the sales aggreement. This is NOT true. So please read my review from start to finish and hopefully this helps before you decide to buy from them. DO NOT LET THEM TALK YOU INTO THE ARMOR ALL SMART SHIELD BECAUSE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT (THEY CHARGED ME $897.00) AND IT WAS NOT EVEN APPLIED TO MY VEHICLE. They tell you it's a great thing to have and it's a great warranty. Below is my timeline: December 23rd, 2022 - I called Speedcraft Acura located at 883 Quaker Lane West Warwick RI 02893 to inquire about a 2023 Acura MDX Advanced Package that I saw they had on their website, I spoke to Mike Hamilton (General Sales Manager) he was very nice on the phone when we spoke. I asked him if the price listed on the website of that vehicle was the out the door price on the car and wanted to make sure there were no hidden surprise costs, he told me no absolutely not, the price I see on the website is what I pay and no hidden cost surprises. I told him I wanted to schedule a day to test drive the car so Mike said that if I gave him a deposit on the car it would be held for me and would be 100% refundable back to me if I decided I did not want the car. I gave him $1,000.00 deposit which I had no problem doing. December 26th, 2022: I Went into Speedcraft Acura, I met with Mike Hamilton, we shook hands, he took a copy of my license and handed me the keys to the car I was interested in, I took it for a test drive and came back to the dealership, sat down with Mike to go over everything, he told me that Acura sends the vehicles to the dealers with Vin Etching and Wheel locks that remain on the car and is an added accessory that I have to pay for on top of the vehicles price and cannot be removed as he is writing the price on the sales agreement, of course I paid (because I thought he was being truthful) I had no intention of talking them down on the vehicle price. I paid a total price with accessories, tax, title and whatever else they add in of $71,596.22. I told him I would bring in a bank check on Saturday December 31st 2022 at 1:00 pm. (he said they needed it by then if not before because they had to close out the year) December 30th, 2022: I went to Speedcraft Acura to meet with Mike to give him my bank check for $70,596.22, he already had the $1,000.00 deposit which made the total $71,596.22. This was actually a day earlier than what I had originally scheduled with him. I signed all the paperwork with Mike which took all of maybe 5 minutes (I felt like I was being rushed after I gave him the check) then he sent me over to the Finance Business Manager Heleno Miranda, to sign all of the paper work with him, he talked to me about getting tire and wheels plus warranty, originally he said it was $1,571.00, I told him I would think about it and let him know in a couple days, so then he asked me if he could bring it down to $1,071.00 would I be interested? So I agreed. (I gave hime my credit card to pay for it.) Once I was all done with him he then sent me back over to Mike again to get the keys to my car and make sure he sent all the paperwork over to my Insurance agent, We walked outside to my vehicle. We took 2 photos and he helped me set up my Acura link and that was all. Again I was rushed because he said he had another customer pulling in for a car that they had purchased, So I was sent on my way. read more

Our MDX is still at the dealership for its routine maintenance as well as checking out a few moderate complaints we've had and so far we have been taken back a bit at the customer service. We have a dealership just down the road from us but with two phone calls for quotes there was a $200 difference in the B123 service (at the same dealership but from two different people). With that in mind we called Acura of Warwick and the quote was reasonable and the lady on the phone was incredibly friendly. We pulled up to the dealership, just off I95, and when you pull up there are two garage doors that automatically open ushering you into a climate controlled polished showroom type service bay! We were greeted by Mr. Andreozzi who was incredibly friendly and very receptive to the extra concerns we added to our appointment (noise here, something there, etc.). We were given our clean loaner car (its always fun driving a "new" car) and off we were. They still have the car checking out some of our concerns and installing some accessories so unless something goes awry my review stands. read more

I can't say I recommend this dealership. I bought a slightly used Honda Accord in late 2018, which had some curb rash on two of the rims and adhesive on the rear window (from tint that had be removed). I bought the car under the condition that these issues would be remedied. Unfortunately, when I went I brought my vehicle back to have it attended to (90 min drive), they fixed one of two wheels that needed attention and failed to remove the adhesive on the rear window. They said I could bring it back in to have the other wheel fixed and the adhesive removed. Been waiting 5 months at this point. They have gone radio silent with no replies to multiple emails. In addition, the car was listed as a non-smoker, even though it was evident the previous owner smoked in the vehicle. Finally, during the purchasing process, they forced me to watch an ArmorAll SmartShield sales video and tried to sell me the product for about 30 minutes. I told them for the beginning of their pitch I was uninterested, but they were relentless. It was extremely uncomfortable Free coffee was a plus. read more

I have been bringing my 2006 Acura TL for service at this location since I purchased the vehicle back in '07 when it was called Inskip Acura. When it changed hands and became Speedcraft I never noticed any decline in the quality of service. Many of the same people who were there in the service department years ago, are still there today and they are all topnotch. I have never had a bad experience at this place. Sure, I could get my oil changes and service done cheaper elsewhere, but I trust them with my car and don't want anyone else touching it. When we first moved to Rhode Island we had a 2002 MDX that we bought out of state. From day one, Inskip treated us as if we bought the car here. Our experience with the first Acura dealership we went to was not good. I was amazed that a luxury car dealership had such bad service. What a difference Inskip Acura has been. I have to echo what another poster said here. Mark is generally the lead service rep that handles our account when we bring in our 2007 MDX, our experience is always outstanding. Well worth the 45 minute drive. I had to go in for a recall and had to wait 2 hours, but it was worth it because they gave me updates and did the best they could with how busy they were. Part of the wait was probably due to COVID-19 procedures so it's good they did their part. Best of all-they weren't demeaning as many auto places are towards women. Manny from service is also great, got my tow and electrical priced and got the job done on-time, went above and beyond and made some calls for it as well. Disappointed. I called to schedule an appointment for a test drive and no one in sales was available so I left a vm. No call back. Called back the next day someone answered and said they'd check on the vehicle and call me back. Got a call back was told they had the keys to the vehicle but were trying to find the car and would call me back. Meanwhile someone else calls back roughly 2 minutes later (person I left vm with) and says the vehicle has not come in yet and they were not sure when it would be in (why is this posted for sale if not physically in?). Also, keys were in but not the car? I asked where the car was and they didn't know. Right. Anyway they advised me to email them to schedule an appointment because they were going to be out the rest of the day and they suggested a time as the earliest they anticipated the vehicle would come in. They didn't know if the car would be in the next day so they suggested the day after. So I emailed and confirmed an appointment the morning of second day. Meanwhile the other person calls me, so I tell him about the email and also stated that I wanted to be informed as soon as the vehicle would be in because I could arrange to come in right away. He assured me that although it was his day off the next day he would go in just to check on this. Big promises didn't deliver. I got call before my scheduled appointment the morning of second day telling me the vehicle is sold?! All within a matter of 1 day when we had clearly arranged they'd call me as soon as vehicle would come in. Something fishy happened here and clearly I was played. read more

I recently shopped at this dealership for a 2014 Acura MDX. My husband and I worked with Tom Corcoran. Over the course of two months, we test drove every 7 passenger mid-size SUV on the market from the Hyundai Santa Fe to the BMW x5. Tom was by far the most accommodating of all the sales reps we encountered at any dealership as shopped with our two very spirited young boys. I was recently shopping for a new vehicle. I was told by a close friend to go to Acura of Warwick. I was told it is a great place to do business...what a mistake that was! After so called "negotiating" took place for the price of the trade/new vehicle, the dealership stated they "were right where they needed to be" for the new car (only to see the price marked down another $500 after the deal fell through). (LIE #1) The finance office was another story all together. Not only was it rookie central, the finance manager decided to try to rope me into $1,000 warranty that I did not want. He stated "in order to get the APR financing I wanted, I would NEED the warranty for the banks approval". Shortly after I contacted the bank directly to which they stated the exact opposite. I received a lower APR % rate myself and didn't need the warranty at all. (LIE #2) I was completely lied to and displeased. After speaking with the salesman and manager, not only did they try to justify the finance offices actions, but also issued no apology or any type of compensation. Needless to say, I advised I would not be purchasing the vehicle only to be harassed for 2 days straight with phone calls. I think they got the hint when I wouldn't return any. I was a long-time client of this Dealership, until now. Recently, I agreed to a, 36 month lease on a, 2017 Acura MDX. I had a question regarding my billing & terms, as listed in the contract. I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism, in which the manner was handled... all the way through upper management! No one provided a clear answer as to why my initial payment, which also included first months lease payment, is NOT reflected on the first months billing statement as received from, Acura Financial Services. For me, that was a matter of $415.99 & I'll im looking for is a clear answer that no one can provide. I was threatened that my vehicle would be repossessed & then I was threatened to be taken to small claims court. Really? For $415.99. I would have won the case, but it's not worth my time. For you, the shortsighted Dealership, it must be?! Have fun with that & you're a joke. In business & in dealing with the public, it's amzaing how much common courtesy & professionalism do to help build & nurture a relationship. Outstanding, one of my biggest annoyances since I have gotten to New England three years ago is that no one knows service here. Acura of Warwick's service depart is the exception! They have always been friendly, courteous and timely! I have never had any problem's with their service department. I've been to other dealerships locally as I live in Newport and have had nothing but bad experiences. Their staff is EXTREMELY thorough, friendly and helpful! Specifically James Andreozzi, I have dealt with him a few times over the past few years and he has always been great at explaining what they found or what they did to my car. Beyond all that everyone there seems to actually listen to you when you are describing things you are concerned about when it comes to your vehicle. I have been suggesting their service department to other Acura owners I know here locally and will continue to do so! read more

It is obvious that at least some members of the sales staff are not of the highest intellect. Oh you know who you are and you made a HUGE MISTAKE. I arrived and met with a member of the sales staff. He said "I will be with you in 2 minutes." I said that I would wait for him on the lot. Folks, I sold vehicles for FORD for 12 years . . . I know what I am doing and I treat sales team members with the UTMOST RESPECT. I do not haggle price on a new car because, in the event that you do not know, there is very little profit on the sale of a new vehicle. The sales team member said that he was busy and that he would be with me in 2 minutes. 22 minutes later, as I waited on the lot, he did not arrive. Oh, you could not help but see me as I positioned myself at the X + Y axis of the dealership's world. I was a GIMME sale. Guaranteed. I have no idea why this guy did not come out to see me. I purchased my new Acura RDX with the TECH PCKG. elsewhere . . . And I did not haggle the price! There is no excuse, NO EXCUSE, he knew the car that I was interested in and did not return. This wasted my time. This sales professional does not know me nor will he ever. He may have made the mistake of looking at my clothing and the vehicle that I was driving. Yes, it is $52,000.00 diesel truck, the S500 was at home with the other vehicles in what I affectionately call; "The Fleet." Well I added my RDX. It is parked on MY LOT with the Fleet. Anyone who thinks that they have a doubt in my posting, call me on it. I am a business person (man) and have little time for this and sales team members who cannot see past their nose when they pass judgement on a potential sale. I recently leased an Acura from Lehigh Valley Acura in Allentown, PA. I was on a business trip with a rental car (not an Acura) and I accidentally ran over a parking block and did some minor damage to the underneath of the car. The fact that my 2005 Acura TL is still purring like a kitten at 280,000 miles should say enough about the knowledgeable and capable crew at Acura of Warwick. They are friendly and flexible, going to the extra mile to clean my car, inside and out, during scheduled service, and offering free loaner vehicles when needed. Mark, my usual service adviser, always makes a point of walking me through exactly what is involved with the repair, and what my expectations should be for cost and completion time. The waiting area is quite nice with free wifi, HD television, coffee/cappuccino machine etc. With the great service provided at Acura of Warwick, I look forward to many more miles and scheduled services on my TL! read more
