Both places can give off that "this is a club and you need to know cars to be in here" vibe... but where AutoZone really leans into that energy, O'Reilly was far more helpful and welcoming. I recently got a new (used) vehicle and wanted to start doing some of my own maintenance. The staff let me roam and look for what I needed, but made it clear they were available if I had questions, which I really appreciated. Slowly but surely, I'm building up my car and my confidence with maintenance at the same time. The only downside was that checkout was a little slow. But in the grand scheme of things, that's a small thing to complain about. Overall, a solid experience.
