I just purchased a 2024 Tahoe from Ganley Lexus ( Akron/ Canton green ohio ). Within 24 hrs I have numerous issues with the vehicle. Very poor experience. Would not recommend this dealership. The interior of the car was not clean at all. Food, empty boxes. Just unacceptable! The screen for all cameras does not function at all. Engine is making a noticeable ticking noise. Management says take it to gm dealer it's under warranty... I didn't sign up for service appointments within 24-48hrs. read more

We recently bought a Lexus from the Lexus of Akron and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. Our sales representative is Yoko and she watched over us and the entire sales experience from start to finish from making herself available on our schedule to come look for a vehicle that would meet our needs, showing comparable vehicles that would meet our needs and budget, and minding the process for us through completing the purchase and arranging some supplemental items we requested. She has since followed up with us coordinating completion of those items. We had some service work done on another vehicle and she even monitored that to make sure we were kept informed. The service department is excellent and did keep us well informed but the entire Lexus of Akron team was like Yoko, making sure everything moved forward to our satisfaction. We recently had an issue with a new NX SUV and Lexus of Akron-Canton was very helpful in the matter. After being informed by the vehicle that there was an issue with the break system, the car had to be serviced immediately. We called them at about 5:30pm and the service department was very helpful and provided us with the number for the towing company right away. By 6:30pm the car was on the flatbed en route to Lexus. We waved goodbye to her (the car is a her) and awaited the next day findings. The next morning, 2 employees dropped off a loaner vehicle that was a similarly nice 2017 RX 350. Through the process, Lexus and the towing company were in constant contact and tried to make it as seamless as possible. Lexus diagnosed the issue quickly and efficiently and we'll have the car back soon. They have great customer service and my family will continue to be customers as we have for the last 4 vehicles. I only wish they would have brought us some Skyway for lunch on the way (its next door). read more

I approached them about a used LS400 with 186K miles. KBB.com says market is 3400-4800. Fair market of 4100. During my investigation I found out the car's belt and associated parts was 10+ years and 95k miles since the last service. Timing service interval is 7 yrs or 90k miles. If the belt or ancillaries break the piston will contact the valves ruining the heads. We are talking $2-4000 in repair costs. The car looked well taken care and was supposed to have everything working. I made a counter offer taking into account fair market value and deducting the $900-1500 required to make the car whole. Akron refused to deal whatsoever. Akron would not make the car whole by getting the car up to date on its service either. Their reply was the pricing is what it is. I would expect a Lexus dealer to sell vehicles which are not a failure waiting to happen. All cars break; but as a Lexus dealer I am surprised by the attitude. It seems they are looking to sell to the less informed and take advantage of them. Caveat emptor... BUYER BEWARE read more

One of my cars tires was losing air. They promptly got me in the next day. They provided me with a loaner. The tire had a staple in the side wall. It was covered under warranty. I would have given CAK Lexus a much higher review only a year ago but their service department has taken a turn for the worse. We used to easily be able to schedule service appointments in a reasonable amount of time. Now they tell us it will be the first week of June FOR AN OIL CHANGE! Well they do charge $60 for an oil change so it makes sense that they can't get us in for 5 weeks. You can't expect to pay$20 and get an oil change in 30 minutes. Oh wait. It's called valvoline. We have bought and leased 2 vehicles and have been with Lexus of Akron for 12 years. I doubt if we will continue. There are better Luxury dealerships out there. read more

I wish I could leave a positive review but unfortunately after a series of mishaps with their service department I have to give them 2 stars only because I did, at least, get my car back in one piece... The expectation of taking your car to the dealership is that you'll receive excellent service. That isn't the case with this team. My last experience has forced me to explore the dealership in Cleveland. Here's all that went down during my last visit: I dropped off my car Friday morning for the following service: -all weather mats for a tan interior -interior detailing -an oil change None of these seem difficult or impossible to do. I was first told the car would be ready Monday which was fine since I had a loaner. However, that same Friday afternoon, I received a call saying my car was ready. I was surprised but happy to find out that I would have my vehicle back sooner than expected. I informed them I would be there first thing Saturday morning to pick up my car ... I arrive on Saturday, check out, pay and return the loaner while my car gets brought to me. Come to find that the all weather mats had not be included and the detailing had not be done. So I essentially wasted my time by driving there. I hopped back in the loaner and off I went. I waited for a call all day on Monday but never heard back from Lexus. After not hearing from them, I decided to call on Tuesday to check on the status of my car. They said "Oh, yeah, it's ready". (Cool, glad you called to let me know.) After a little back and forth, they finally offered to deliver the car to me on Wednesday. I got my car and realized the all weather mats were black ... which looks terrible in a tan interior vehicle. I called Friday morning to share my poor experience but all I really got was a lot of "so sorry" and "sorry for the inconvenience". I also requested that they let me know when I can return the all weather mats and swap them out for tan ones as well as schedule time to set up my Bluetooth. It's now Tuesday of the following week and I still have not had someone return my call regarding my recent service experience or my follow ups. So, I'm just going to show up today and grace them with my presence. This coming Friday, it will be 2 weeks of this nonsense. read more

Hands down, THE MOST ANNOYING, HIGH PRESSURE auto dealership I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Bought a 200 CT hybrid there in 2013. Was planning to pay cash but during the exit they said why not lease because I could pay the EXACT SAME price but only put half down and the balance with ZERO interest at the end of 2 years??? Again, the price was EXACTLY the SAME so basically I would get two years use of my money interest free. So with an open mind I did what they said and for 14 months everything was great until..... the NONSTOP sales calls started. Basically, they gave my name to whoever the new sales person was so they could call me to say because they DESPERATELY needed 2013 CTH models ,they wanted to convert my "lease" with TEN MONTHS LEFT into a new lease for the latest model and VIOLÁ my monthly lease payment would be even less!!! Amazing right, except I did not have a lease payment and always told them I would pay off the balance after the first two years. I politely stated that to the first guy that called.... politely restated it again to the next guy that called the following month.... less politely restated that again to the third guy that called the next month and ALSO SAID PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN WITH THIS SHILL OFFER. Come the next month... YUP, another sales call and the poor new guy on the phone had to listen to me explain my intentions yet again but in a definitely less polite tone. That seemed to stop the calls until... about 30 days away from the initial two years period I got another call with the same shill pitch about DESPERATELY needing my 200 CTH. This time I was curt, rude and told the poor new sales person I would be in the dealership early to pay off the balance so I would NEVER have to listen to the Bullsh*% DESPERATE pitch again. I paid off the balance and still have the car but the joke's on me. SHAB the LEXUS AKRON/CANTON sales manager still send me letters every month "begging" for my DESPERATELY needed 2013 CTH and offering an exact trade in amount that I can use to purchase a new LEXUS. FYI - This BS amount is NOT what they'll pay for my used 200 CTH car. Only what they would apply to a new LEXUS purchased at their dealership. But wait.... it gets even better... about every 40 odd days my phone rings with a local 330 phone number. Guess who's calling???? If you said the new guy Shab hired at Lexus Akron/Canton you nailed it. Same Bullsh&# DESPERATE pitch. I stopped being nice 2 years ago. Now, I note the time and date, tell the poor sales slub I have requested MANY TIMES TO BE REMOVED FROM THEIR DATABASE and hang up. I then send an email to the FTC saying I have requested multiple times to be deleted but our government seems to care less. Horrible experience with Lexus of Akron. What began as a good experience, ended up being THE most frustrating, inexplicable, and angering "buying" experience I've ever had. I have been looking to purchase a 2022 LX600 for nearly a year. I've been regularly contacting Lexus dealerships in Ohio to see if any had one, and was consistently told that there were none in stock, and there was a several month waitng list. In early September, I was contacted by Lexus of Akron and told that a slightly used (~300 miles) LX600 had just come in and would I be interested. After several days of negotiation, we agreed on a purchase price that was over $100K. I put a downpayment on a Friday, and told the the salespeople that would be paying cash and needed to have my broker free up some funds for the purchase. Because it was the weekend that I would have the monies no later than the next Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, and was told that was okay. I was then told that I was going to be able to sign the purchase documents electronically and that the Business Manager would be contacting me on Friday to work through them with me. I wasn't contacted by the Business Manager until Saturday and was told that I would need to come into the dealership and sign the documents in person. During the same call I was told by the Business Manager would need more information so the I could be "vetted" by Lexus regarding my purchasing the vehicle. I have bought dozens of vehicles in my life and have NEVER been vetted when purchasing a vehicle, let alone when paying in cash!!! By the following Monday, my broker had freed up the necessary funds and I was in the process of getting a Cashiers Check prepared and schedule an appointment with the dealership for the next day to sign the documents and pay for the LX600 in cash. During this process, I received a call from the Business Manager and was told I didn't "pass" Lexus' vetting process and I could no longer purchase the vehicle that I waited for months to purchase and was paying cash for. When I asked for the reasons why, I was told by the Business Manager that she had no more information and basically it is what it is. Needless to say I was stunned, which soon turned into anger that Lexus of Akron could treat a potential customer who was purchasing an over $100K vehicle for cash, so coldly and poorly. I then called and left several messages, including for the Sales Manager, and asking for a better explanation, and was never contacted. I then asked for a refund of my deposit, which took several days to process while my downpayment took minutes. Worst dealership experience EVER. If you're looking to purchase a Lexus vehicle, I would absolutely stay away from Lexus of Akron. read more

Had my brake pads replaced. Very pricey as expected. On the way home the brake sensor light comes on. Return the vehicle and it goes on and off. They cannot figure it out. Return the vehicle because sensor stays on. They change the oil (expensive) and do nothing about the sensor. Inside of trunk in total disarray from checking the air in the spare. Call for an appointment to have the sensor issue addressed. Leave detailed message with the service rep. It's been over a month and no return call. I have come to learn that they should have changed the sensors when they changed the pads yet they have not said anything about this. Only confusion on their end as to why the sensor remains on. My previous experience with lexus dealerships has been positive. This place seems a bit clueless and apparently poorly managed because of the consistently poor response. read more

These guys have no idea what they are doing. Went in because my lights came on in my car. Asked them to take a look at my left rear brake because it stopped working and I had tried some various things to get it to work. Told them that I think it needs flushed and maybe the sensor cleaned. Didn't hear a single word I said, and told me that the VSC and ABS module needed replaced and it would cost $2600. The also said my right rear brake was not functioning well... That would cost an extra $1800 to fix. Took it to my vendor and they did it for $500. Not only did they not listen to the complaints I had, but also didn't fix the problem I asked about in the first place. Glad I didn't throw my money in and just see what happened. Who knows how much more I would have been swindled. When asked again how my experience was, I told them how I felt. They promptly got back to me and said "it looks like they did quite a bit of work on your car actually". Just to top everything off, I had to ask my wife to drive me home where we live an hour away because they had no loaner cars available. Luxury brand with luxury prices... absolutely garbage service. Terrible sales experience. Went looking for a suv, my wife and I. and were treated like second class citizens. They took one look and apparently thought we were not the type of people who could afford a Lexus. It was a cold evening and I was wearing my bikers leather jacket and with one look they made up their minds. We tried to negotiate a on a a SUV but they would not even entertain a deal. They would not budge one nickle even though the sales manager informed us that he could. When questioned about the price and advertised monthly payment he said we should just write a check and then we could talk. After this experience we went elsewhere and purchased a Lexus from different dealership who went out of their way to make us feel at home and comfortable. We actually ended up spending more. If I could rate the service we received at Lexus of Akron 10 stars I would. Long story short my fathers Lexus was out of warranty by about 6 months and the rear shock went bad at 23k miles. We had thought it was Certified and under warranty but it was not. I contacted Jeff Schulz the manager and he was overwhelmingly helpful along with the whole service department. The vehicle is serviced in Erie as it is too far for my elderly father to drive for service. I brought the vehicle two hours to this dealership and they not only got me in early they were able to get the vehicle repaired and the service manager was able to authorize the repair through Lexus. I should mention I was in the car business years ago and this was totally refreshing to see the concern and helpfulness I received. Lexus of Akron-Canton is truly helpful and they didn't have to do anything as the car was out of warranty. However they did and it shows their commitment to customer service. From every level I dealt with I was treated extremely well. The owners of this dealership should be proud of the employees here. Thank you again! read more

When I bought my vehicle 2 years ago, I was also sold a tire and wheel warranty that I was told would cover anything wrong with my tire or wheel. Now 2 years down the road, I hit a pot hole which has bent both my front tires and I am being told by the warranty company that this is not covered because the tires are still holding air. The warranty company told me that if I curbed my vehicle, that would be covered though! The service center I took my car to however has deemed my vehicle unsafe to drive because of the damage to my wheels. The warranty service obviously doesn't care about the service center's concerns. It is more frustrating to me at this time that the finance department at this location told me EVERYTHING would be covered for the next 5 years. Well everything isn't covered...now I am having to go through my insurance company and I have been without a car for 2 weeks. We shopped for a luxury SUV- narrowed down the choices to an Acura MDX/ Lexus Rx350/ Volvo XC90/Mercedes . We finally decided on the lexus despite the highest price given the smooth ride, overall comfort feel and very high satisfaction ratings from buyers. Then came the part of buying. We used a number of online sources to inquire and we had 3 dealer choices, Metro Lexus and Lexus of Akron-Canton who had the best prices. We went with Akron Lexus because of the ratings and were very happy with our experience of the overall buying, and more importantly, the actual signing process. Peter Spacagna (Pete), the general manager is probably the best car person we have met in a long time. He was honest and genuinely cares about both his employees and his customers. People of this nature are very rare in most professions and definitely in the car business. He is truly a role model for his peers. We went in on a Saturday, and he came in, had Greg take care of us and then dealt with us personally to make sure that we were happy and comfortable with our choice. Greg, the sales rep was very professional, gave enough space for my wife and me to make our decision. He was very knowledgeable about the car, was very patient in explaining the different parts, the advanced controls and helped us set up an number of features. Tony, another sales person, who was clearly very senior, also gave up his time to make sure that the delivery of the vehicle was done in a manner that we would feel very comfortable with handling the car. On the day of the delivery, Greg came back on his off day from home to make sure that the whole process went smoothly and this is most appreciated. We were buying the car and instead of previous experiences, when after we picked the car and fixed the price, the process of add ons start- extended warranty, maintenance plan, tire protection, paint protection, seat protection etc etc., Jonathan the finance person at Lexus of Akron had all the papers drawn up, and the entire process was done in about 10 min! He was very objective about potential add ons, and when we declined them, did not make any judgement about it and we signed and left. This was one of the best parts of the buying experiences. Every time we bought a car, we always had to resist these add ons, not this time. Try looking up other forums including edmunds.com and lexusclub to see how others have suffered like we did in the past. I was looking to get a 2015 RC 350 and decided to come to this dealership because they had a color I was interested in. I figured since it was the end of the year and the 2016s had arrived, I would get some competitive deals. I had been in talks with the dealership prior. So I went to the dealership, saw the car, took a drive. Had good conversation with the sales representative. They initially gave me a meager discount. Also the initial lease offers they estimated were absurd to say the least. They were assuming I had the worst credit with their numbers when calculating the whole thing, to which I informed them I have very good credit in fact. After talking some more numbers, and back and forth with the sales manager, (who never really seemed that interested in discussing anything with me, even after quite some time) they budged a little on the price. I had my brother at another dealership looking for similarly spec'd car with actually a HIGHER MSRP, and the lease deal came out to be significantly cheaper than what they were quoting me. They asked for the numbers so they could run it and see if it was a good deal (which it certainly was). I was more than compliant and showed them a picture of that deal, and VIN if they wanted to look up the car themselves. They come back with the picture on my phone of the quote from the other dealership and say the picture is cutoff, have your brother send another, so as to see if the tax was included. Excuses, basically. They also were saying things like "We own that dealership" (to which later they contradicted themselves when they said they were a small dealership but within the same "network"). So I got another picture from my brother with a quote that was even CHEAPER than the first one. I asked if they could match the deal and the sales rep said he would work on it. At this point it was getting late and I could see the sales manager in his office begin to get visibly distraught. Ultimately, I saw him throw up his hands in frustration and essentially say they would not honor the deal or work with me. They did not even try to budge off the second quote they gave me. I would hope they would at least come down to a price near what I was quote because I would have been willing to pay slightly more for the color. Needless to say, I got the car from the other dealership, at an amazing price, fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. Just a word of warning, these people don't seem to be very amenable to matching a good deal at another dealership. If you find a better deal elsewhere, go there. read more
