Why do I keep trusting this place? I know better. I've had so many problems with greasy Fingerprints on my car from the wheel cleaner being left on my seats. Chemical damage to my infotainment screen, etc. But this time, I specifically wanted to know if they had a fungicide that they could spray on my floors because it had gotten wet recently, during the rains, the attendant told me they do have that, but only with the super wash. I asked him if I had to request it special, and he said, no, they do it to all the cars with the super wash. At the end when i was paying l was looking at the services that come with the super wash, and I didn't see it there. So I asked the cashier, the cashier said that they don't have that service. They don't have that product. A manager was called, and he said they don't do that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So I told them the only reason I bought the super wash is because the attendant said it came with the super wash, and eventually they charged me the normal price for the car wash that I would have bought, had the attendant not misled me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] when I got my car, my EZ pass was missing. At 0905, no one was there to check in the growing line of waiting customers. The vacuums were not turned on and the first waiting car was not being serviced until 0910. I love this place! I really do. They are so sweet whenever I go and they always make me feel good about my car when I see it all sparkly and shiny. I will say there have been a couple of times when they have missed a few spots or not cleaned certain things that were included in the package we got, like the back floor mats. With that being said, I would advise you to keep track of what they said they would clean and check to make sure they did. One of the best car washes I've been to. Extremely efficient staff, I actually went in there for an interior detailing and they told me I didn't really need one and I could instead go for one of their deep cleaning packages which is $30 cheaper than detailing, now who does that? They also clearly explained what's covered and what's not, and did a couple of things that they usually don't do with that package. Very satisfied with the service and the outcome. This is the worst car wash I have ever seen. I paid $45.99 for the top tier service and specified that I needed them to vacuum the dog hair out of the back. In all honesty, he did say they don't guarantee to get rid of all animal hair. What they did not say is that they would just wave a vacuum over the inside of the car in lieu of actually putting the vacuum to the surface. There was a small coffee spot on the console that would easily wipe up (yes, I know I could have easily cleaned it myself - not the point). That was not even attempted. When I got home and saw the state of the dog hair/back of the car, I called to complain. I was told the manager would call me back. I called back 30 minutes later and was told the manager would call me back at 5 when they closed. Needless to say, the manager never called me back. I drove back this morning to talk to the manager and he completely dismissed me and said that "they don't guarantee animal hair". I asked if they even try. He said I would have to pay for the special interior clean which is $99. He then said he'd "wipe up the coffee spot." I left and went down the street to the best car wash ever- Wash Your Way RVA (only reason I went to Car Pool is because I was running errands in that area). I paid $19 for the car wash and interior clean. Whatever you do, steer clear of the Near West End Car Pool location - especially if you need anything wiped down or vacuumed. Save your money! Seriously, spend the extra to go to a real car detailing place. I knew they didn't do the seats. But the mats they power washed were still dirty and even had crumbs on them, and they never took the mat out of the back of my SUV. If they vacuumed, it was barely done, and the cup holders look like they got a swipe with a rag, but were not really cleaned. There was still pollen collected along the edges of the windows and grime along the doors. I spent 45 minutes cleaning several things I just paid $48 to have cleaned. I took my daughters car in to get it cleaned as a gift. I mentioned at the end that It still had grime on it that was clearly visible and was told that that was " baked in" They called the manager who offered to put the car through again. He and the worker started cleaning the front hood and back trunk hood and it cleaned right off with whatever they sprayed on it (Later I noticed the sides had that grime on it and was not clean.) The place was then backed up and they rushed me out. Driving home, I could tell the front windows were not clean. The interior was vacuumed but the inside of the trunk was never touched. Im very disappointed overall. I spent $29 on the Rainbow wash with a $5 tip and it was a waste of my money. This wash was no better than the $8 I usually spend at a quick drive through. Condition of my car before the wash: covered in dirt, rain spots, animal lick marks all over my car, and generally needed a good wash. The interior was probably worse with animal feed that was scattered everywhere and the dashboard needed a good dusting/conditioning as well. This was my first time using carpool car wash and I've heard a few good things about them so decided to give them a try. I got the extreme car wash with hot wax for additional $7 so the total was $38 which included: exterior wash/towel dry, interior vacuum. windows washed, wheel/tire shine, under carriage and dashboard cleaned. First, your car gets a very thorough interior vacuum and they managed to get 99% of all the debris that was left in my car. The next step is the exterior wash which is an automatic process and gets hand dried and cleaned up even more afterwards. The whole process took about 40 minutes for my car. You can even watch them hand dry and clean your car after the wash cycle. I think in total, there were about 5 different employees involved in your car wash experience. I was very satisfied with my experience because the exterior looked great with no more rain/wet spots, it was shiny and squeaky clean. The interior was also really well cleaned as well. My only small complaint is that I did find a couple of animal feed bits a couple of weeks later but they were in really hard to find areas. Overall I would come to this place again when I need a car wash or interior vacuum. SN: their indoor waiting room is very small, has about 7 or so chairs and there's a small break room for the customers that has vending machines with snacks/drinks for purchase. read more

They never touched my hatchback and is filthy. I have black stuff on my bumper. The list continues. I normally go to the one on lower broad and think I will stick with them. I am not one to spend money on a car wash so I have never really thought about or cared about a car wash business, until now. Yesterday, I took my family to Safari Park (a drive thru zoo). This I might add is certainly a must do in Virginia. The animals stick their heads in your car and eat straight out of your lap. Needless to say, they make a mess with the food and as they lean in, the dust from their bodies get all over the outside of the car. My car had NEVER been so dirty. I had no option but to take my car to a professional today. It was too much for me to handle on my own. Ground up food in my carpets and crevices of my window sills, food dust in my vents, and the outside was covered in...I don't even know...drool, dust, food particles, etc. I pulled up, gave them my car, said good luck, and went shopping next door. When I came back, my car was safe, clean, and smelled good. It seriously looked and felt brand new. I don't know how they did it but they did and now I may be hooked.... I came on a Saturday morning around 8 and they were already getting business from some handful of people. I got the RVA carwash which is normally 41.95, but they were running a special at that time so I got it for a little bit less. They have both indoor and outdoor waiting area and also have free wifi. I got my car back pretty quickly and I was fairly happy with the result. The car was clean both inside and out. They cleaned the surface really well, but if you look closely you will find places here and there that were missed/still dirty. I think for ~40+ it is a bit pricy, but overall I was happy with the job. If you're looking for something that's super thorough, you will most likely leave disappointed. read more

Took my car there today and it was pretty busy. Fair enough since we just had a snow recently. I got the "extreme" package. I took these photos as soon as I got home. As you can see by the photos, the vacuuming was suspect at best.The wiping down of surfaces was completely sloppy. Dirt was just smeared around instead of wiped off. I have had another car full detailed here before and they did do a good job on that which is the only reason I didn't rate this one star. I will not be back. I was very excited to get my newly paid off car detailed. I was greeted kindly and chose the RVA ($41.95). That is all I noticed. When I was called out to pick up my completed car I let the gentleman know that some things were not done he asked me what kind of wash I had. He started to wipe down the panels to correct the problems but then asked me to drive around to the vacuum area again to get that corrected. I refused and had a seat inside and waited for the services that I paid for it to be completed. With so many things not completed in the package that I paid for, I'm not sure if any of the other additions( e.g the under carriage wash ) were completed either. My trust level for this location is low and I will not be returning. The body of my car was clean and had a nice shine. What I did appreciate about this experience was Malik the cashier who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. read more

I used to take 3 different vehicles on a regular basis. The last time they offered a hand wax which resulted in my wifes car being damaged, chips in paint from the buffer. Carpool did contact me to take a look at the car. If they fix this, I will return to using them, they do a very good job, you may just need to be a little flexible sometimes and go when they are not very busy. After meeting with one of the managers, the marks on my wife car were cleaned. Fortunately it was not chipped but more of a glue build up that looked like chips. After the Manager, John came out to inspect the vehicle, he inspected it, cleaned it and the car looks like new again. I would recommend anyone to use them based on the great customer service that I experienced. read more

Looked like a promising wash for my 2017 Subaru, but after a $120 estimate for their most basic wash (including minor interior cleaning - vacuum for salt/dirt, wipe down all weather mats), I will not be going here.
