I chose the "extreme" car wash and couldn't be happier with the results. My car was cleaned thoroughly, inside and out. The front door mats were removed and washed, all the windows & interior surfaces were wiped, the wheel rims were cleaned by hand, and the exterior was dry wiped to prevents any spotting. I have used and recommended them to customers that come into the dealership and friends. NO MORE!! They have become very sloppy. I paid and tipped before wash. BIG MISTAKE. I got the 46.00 wash. They did not do half of the things they were supposed to as listed. PLUS the skull cap came off. The Manager basically called me a liar and stereotyped me. They are not fixing it. I don't like to leave reviews, positive or negative. If you do a good job I'll spend my money with you. If not I'm usually once and done. Sadly this service was so poor I have to say something. Floor mats weren't pulled up and there is still plenty of dirt and dog hair that I am not even sure they got the nozzle close. They certainly didn't bother between the seats and console. Too many spots on the interior doors that I was able to clean up with a simple pass of a lysol wipe. They say they do cup holders...um I guess that must be when they feel like it. I've gone to Car Pool over the years and only had one medicore experience. This time they lost me as a customer. Too many options out there to be this disastisfied. Very expensive for what is essentially a glorified car wash. I've brought my car here several times, and each experience has been disappointing. With the number of people working on each vehicle, you would expect a higher level of quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. I've left feeling like my car wasn't fully clean, and honestly, I could have done a better job myself. I was willing to pay extra for better care, but it just wasn't delivered. The team did a great job today cleaning my large suv, especially Lucas. Lucas went above and beyond to ensure I drove away a happy customer, and I did. I always double check my vehicle before I say I'm good, and I usually find a couple of things that need a little more attention. I made Lucas aware of a couple of areas in my suv that were missed when they vacuumed, and he took care of each of them quickly and accurately. I did not have the opportunity to talk to anyone else, but if all of the Car Pool Car Washes have workers like Lucas, then they will continue to be a powerhouse company. Everything was fabulous. I got the bedt package they had. It was my first visit in ten years and I could not have been more pleased. I watched the guy detail and buff wax my SUV from the window for an hour and he took so much care wirh my vehicle. It was amazing! It looked better than new when he handed me the keys. I have used Car Pool for years and have recommended them to others many times. However, since they changed their process, my experience with them has been very poor. They spent little time finishing the car especially the interior which was not cleaned well at all. As I pointed out what needed to be done, the manager-type guy was a little argumentative but not rude and they still did not get the car as clean as usual. My impression is that they prioritized speed over thoroughness. I am very disappointed in this RVA company that I used for a long time. read more

Today, I visited this car wash as a first time customer. This was not a good experience. I purchased the $45.96 wash with a $3 tip. Thinking the car would be cleaned outside and and inside. Well, the outside still had bird poop in several places, the windshield outside was still dirty, the outside mirrors was still dirty, the inside display was not wiped nor under the radio holder, and too top it off the cage to the inside was let down and not put back. I am not sure how the service should have been, but the it was horrible. It may have been that it was the end of the day and the staff was tired. However, when a customer has paid for a service then whatever time it is the service should be good. The car was #636. This was my first and last visit to this place of business. I visited this car wash on 2/8/23. I forgot to take my AirPod case on my keychain. After I left there I noticed my AirPods were not in the case. I called up there and talked to the assistant manager and she was saying maybe I dropped them somewhere. It was not until I told her that they are tracking there that she was willing to help me. I gave her my license number and she said she would call me back. She did call me back and informed me that an employee found my AirPods and gave them to another employee. That employee had taken the AirPods home. I went up there a couple of days later and retrieved them. The whole story seems very fishy to me. So beware. read more

I would have given 0 stars if I could. My vehicle was filthy after my $42 car wash.. I walked around the car and the entire inside was still dirty in all the cup holders. Dirt still in the door jams. The manager Dupree said I "insulted" his employees when I told him his quality inspection process had failed. Then he walked away. The only employee who stuck around to try to make it right was a driver. Super guy. Wish I had his name. Then i saw my rubber floor mats still covered in dirt. No one seemed interested so I took it out and started washing with one of their brushes. The shift manager Paloma came over and told me i was using the wrong product on the mat. A little ironic that I was washing my own car after $42 and about 10 employees were watching me. When I told her the issues she said I could have a refund and walked away. I took my car in for the first time and they did an awesome job. The beginning of the experience was a little rough because I didn't know what to do and the attendant just assumed I knew until I asked. I went to pay and I was told about the passes for the season and was given a military discount which I appreciate. After my car was done, the attendant gave me a receipt and explained about the 48 hour rain policy which is a great touch. I went to carpool on midlothian and when I got back in the car I noticed they didn't clean the inside and they stole my car air freshener and hand sanitizer. I've never had this issue before but needless to say I might not be going back there. if I can't trust them to do what I paid for and not to my things that's an issue for me. read more

Bugs on the front bumper, luckily one kind lady came to help, as this was my mother in laws car, and who knows when it was last cleaned. This is by far the worst car wash place you could ever pay to go to. This is the second time they have done a half a** job and there will not be a third. As you can see in photos, the door was NOT cleaned, they did not wipe down the dash well and they had a nerve to accept my tip knowing the half a** job they did. the vacuum job was probably the best part of the wash. The Car Pool Car Wash on broad street does a superb job and I'll drive that extra distance before I ever spend money here again and I advise you do the same. They either need better management or supervisors because clearly no one cares. read more

I tried to give these people a second (third, maybe fourth) chance . For $40 you can get your car washed by an automatic drive through and then get a half done vacuum. They will wipe down your seats only if they aren't busy and/or if they feel like it. This service should also include a wipe down of the cup holders and a dusting of the window dash. Clearly they didn't even do that. You'll probably be better off going through a car wash yourself and paying $11 and then $1 on a diy vacuum. read more

I have use this car wash service for years and it's pretty consistent. I usually purchase the Extreme or RVA wash. The exterior wash is decent especially since I'm too lazy to do it myself. You may want to remove magnets before sending it through the wash because they can fall off or you end up with a dirt ring around them. I'm always impressed with the vacuum. I generally only get the interior cleaned 2 to 3 times a year because it's just me and I don't have children. That being said, there is usually a ton of dirt, leaves, small pebbles etc. around the floor mat so when it comes clean I'm quite happy. I don't think the center consul is ever cleaned that well so I usually clean it when I get home. I am never happy with the cleanliness of the interior windshield. It is always extremely streaky and filmy. I think this is because of the towels they use but I can't be certain. I always clean it again at home with glass cleaner and newspaper. I've never had to wait very long but I usually am very conscious about what times I am there. You can see how long the line is so I keep driving if I'm going to have to wait. Once you get in line you are stuck there. On my last visit, one of my bobble head turtles disappeared from the front dash. I didn't notice prior to leaving the lot but decided not to pursue it further. It may have been an honest mistake although they were glued down. As stated at the beginning, the outcomes of the washes are consistent and I know what to expect when I'm there. read more

I did the 41 dollar one a little expensive for what they did but I get it you gotta make your coin too. I would recommend this place. It was a quick detail and it bad... Last month I brought my car here for the very first time on the recommendation of my co-worker. I started off with an exterior only wash and for $14 I was pretty happy. The lobby is clean and the entire process is very orderly. I was surprised to see a $5 off coupon on my receipt inviting me to come back within 30 days and as luck would have it TODAY was my last day to use it. I realized this kinda late in the day, so I rushed over to get another exterior wash before they closed. Everything was going fine until I went to pay and I was told that even though my receipt said "... receive $5.00 off ANY wash package" that did not include the Ultimate package I purchased. I don't know why I keep giving them second chances - they have proven time and time again to do a poor job and, even worse - to have poor service. Today I got the topline wash (RVA) and they were supposed to take the floor mats out and power wash them. Not only did they not do it - they didn't even try to do it. So they tell me I have to remove the car seat for them to be able to - so I take out the carseat, then they said they still can't do it. But bigger problem is they didn't even try - just had an excuse to not try and hoped I would drive off. There are much better options for a good car wash run the area! read more

The wash was good. The speed was poor. Once you're out of your car, it takes approximately 10 minutes. But waiting in a line of 6-7 cars to get to the front can be 30-45 minutes. Also, once you're in line, you're stuck. You can't leave if you need to get somewhere else. So before you go, be prepared to spend about an hour there if it's moderately busy. read more

I used to take my Explorer to various Car Pools around Richmond until I came to this one. I always paid for the most expensive package so I could get the inside, outside, underneath, all the cracks, etc... immaculate. Unfortunately you end up dropping about $80 then they expect a tip on top of that. On my last paid visit here they did such a horrible job, even while I was pointing out mistakes, that I had the manager come out and see for himself. He gave me a full refund plus a free equal package to keep me coming back. That made me happy so I gave it another shot a couple months later and exactly the same thing happened. Luckily I wasn't paying that time but he still gave me ANOTHER free pass because they were doing such a poor job. That free pass ended up being a makeshift key to break into my house one night when I was locked out. My advice is buy all the stuff you need to clean the car yourself. It will take longer and might be more expensive in the short term, but long term you will be happier. read more

Last weekI took my car here for a wash. My car wash experience that day was a decent one. They did a nice job on my car but they are VERY expensive. I was already there in line, so I just figured I'd treat myself to a full wash. The good thing was he told me that I if it rains, I'll get a free wash within 48hrs. And also I got the rain guard package that's supposed to minimize the rain spots after it rains. Well several complaints to follow... first off it rained the next evening into the next day early afternoon. The rain spots were terrible. My car looked awful considering I paid for some special crap to avoid this issue. But whatever, I'll just go get it rewashed within my 48hr timeframe. I was working nights this evening, so I decided to go around 445pm, which was 45 minutes before closing. Well I get there and the 'closed due to weather' sign was posted. I'm guessing because it rained. So I said to myself, maybe they will still honor the free wash the next day, seeing as they were closed. Welp, came back the next day and the same sign was up, 'closed due to weather'. This particular day it was kinda cold. Then I had to go out of town for work Thursday and Friday. So now it's a new week and I'm guessing I'll never get my free wash. If I was to ever visit this place again, it'll be more for the interior wash when I need a good wash but not paying all that extra to get duped the next day and to have a bunch of rain spots anyway. read more
