BEST CAR WASH IN THE AREA!!!! I have been living in Lake County for the past 20 years and have tried multiple car washes in the area, none of them have lived up to the high expectations the Car Spa has now set. From the friendly staff, to the quality wash, I had a great experience! The owner himself even came up to me and genuinely asked how I was doing and how he could improve the car spa experience. Love that it is family owned!! They also sell local products, such as fresh donuts every morning, support Libertyville High School in a multitude of ways, and treat employees as family. I learned all this by simply chatting with the cashiers as well as Bill, the owner! I came in with a dirty car covered in dust and dog hair, and left with a shiny, spotless one!! Amazing. Well, I have taken all my cars to Car Spa and never disappointed. Especially around spring & summer I like to sit outside as they set up tables and chairs for the customers while you wait. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 only because once I took one of my sports cars and my radar detector was unplugged and moved and some of my settings on my dash were messed up. I know it wasn't intentional but the guy drying my car could of at least put it back or said something to me. Overall I'll still be back as those employees that dry your car always change frequently and it's a hit or miss on getting someone who's in detail. read more

After waiting for 15 minutes for a basic car wash the cashier just stood around without a blank expression and zero idea on finding an answer. I will never ever go back to that Park Place Hand Wash place. Even though it's much closer to me I will drive to the LCS. People, from the cashier to the guys outside is the most courteous and helpful. One of the Reviews stating that the cashiers at the Park Place fits better at a McDonalds is true, not to mention their help. Too many to list the kind of complaints I have. read more

I took my car to get an interior detail and was very pleased with the service I received even before getting my car back. The staff was super friendly and provided excellent customer service. When they finished with my car, it honestly looked brand new. Julio did an outstanding job with my car (which I brought in after it got skunked). Not only did he get rid of the skunk smell he also took the time to get all the dog hair out of my back seat that I had been unable to get rid of over the years. Clean and well kept, but counter people need training. No personality, busy looking at their cell phones and could care less about saying hello. Who wants to go back to that every day? Out of hotdogs when I walked in and had to tell someone to go get some. And, out of Diet Coke with no notice posted on the machine. Just dumb stuff. They need to be aware. Well, gave it another chance but will not be coming back. $27 for a deluxe car wash and have to tell them to go back and reclean certain areas of your car. Weather mats were washed but not dried. SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I will continue to use Collision Solutions in Hainesville for my washes and detailing! They do an AWESOME job! ( just need an appt. but totally worth it!) read more

I take my vehicles here regularly for a quick wash. I'm a bit of a clean car freak and have gone to enough car washes over the years to judge quality vs. price...this one is good, not great. They will get you in and out fast for a reasonable price but watch carefully to make sure you get all of the services you ordered. They will forget to Armor-all the tires or spray freshener, etc. on occasion. The facility itself is very nice with a clean viewing line and nice waiting area including a small table with children's books. Overall a nice car wash experience if you just want the basics. read more

I'm not a fan of car washes in general and only use them during the colder months when there is no way to hand wash my own car. Even the "better" car washes are hard on the car's finish and can cause a lot of damage. When I look at the other reviews, I see that most selected the premium packages. Frankly, I think the best choice here is the lowest cost (currently $5.95 with gas fill up) exterior and undercarriage wash. It's still better than the comparable gas station car washes. I hand wax my own car two to three times a year. Car wash "spray on" waxes are relatively worthless. My biggest complaint is that I end up waiting and waiting for my car to get dried off because all of the staff is busy doing all the interior work on five or more cars in front of mine. Frankly, I'd rather dry it myself than wait. read more

Libertyville Car Spa has gone so far downhill!!! It's AWFUL!! I purchased a #1 - the very best wash they offer- My windows were still dirty ( I have small children w sticky hands) my cup holders still had crumbs and grime in them the floor was hardly vacuumed it was a waste of $23.00!!! My 3 year old could've done a better job!! The outside was not much better!! My car still had the mud splatter I specifically asked them to clean off and didn't even look clean..I have been coming here for 20 + years! It used to be amazing and my car was super clean and I would drive away happy.. now I'm driving to a different car wash for get my car actually clean.. I feel like I stopped by the Car Spa gave them $23.00 for nothing and drove away!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I will never come back here and suggest nobody else does either... its too bad a business that was so wonderful for years has become such a pit... If I could give the zero stars I would!! read more

Last Saturday I filled up my tank and had my car washed. Not much traveling since then, except my wife and I went out to dinner this past Tuesday evening. Looking at the passenger side of the car, my wife asked me what happened? I walked around the car and saw several "scuff marks" on the door panels. The only thing I could think of was a faulty brush in the car wash. The next morning at 8 am I drove to the car wash and showed the manager the damage. I fully expected him to deny responsibility and explain that there have been no other claims about this issue. After looking at the damage to my car, he confirmed my suspicions by denying any responsibility and said nobody else has complained about any damages. I WAS RIGHT! I took a deep breath to begin my pre-planned verbal assault on the guy when he smiled and said, "But I'll fix it for you!" WHAT? I asked him what he meant. He said he'd take it in the back and buff it out. I asked how long that would take, thinking I'd have to leave the car. He said 15-20 minutes at most. I asked what it would cost me, thinking this is a clever way to make some additional money. He said, "No charge!" WHAT? Then I shook his hand, smiled from ear to ear, and thanked him profusely for helping me out. He didn't have to do that. It was totally unexpected. I was virtually speechless. And I learned a lesson about human behavior - there are still exceptional people out there! What was initially going to be "goodbye forever" turned out to be "I am now a loyal customer forever". I just left their. There were a lot of cars today. The manager or owner stepped up to the plate and was helping outside. No the first year to your windows of my car did not do a great job. Especially the back window is still covered with dirt. I called and they were apologetic double check in the future. I will still continue to go there. read more

Best car wash in area, and especially for the cost. There are a couple car washes within 2 miles of my home. My wife and I both drive out of our way -- like an extra 15 minutes -- to come here. These guys really get it right. And if there is a line, don't worry. They'll get you through fast and with the white-glove treatment. Many other car washes do not do a good job with the tiny details -- cleaning the dashboard, getting into the crevices of the seats, etc. These guys do a great job. read more

What happened to the Car Spa in Libertyville - used to be really good - Not any more. 2 Cars @ $28.00 each and we had to clean the cars when we got home. All they did was wipe down my front dashboard and clean the windows! Seriously! I will NEVER spend another dime here. Do their vacuum cleaners even work???? I asked about it at the receiving point and the guy just says, we don't do that and I said, I specifically asked for a super vacuuming due to the dog hair and he just said, I am not the boss. REALLY!!!! You have to be the boss to vacuum a car. Also, the sides on the interior were not wiped clean and the cup holders, not even touched. I wouldn't trust them to do a detailing on my car if they can't even vacuum it out. There are a few new places in town now, so I am definitely taking my business elsewhere. I will also tell EVERYONE I know not to use them and how poor the service is. read more
