I think 'Robin' meant to review the Ultimate car wash in Wauconda where she lives because this place is horrible. Attendant hardly ever comes out (if somebody's even there) when you have an issue. The one time I ever saw anyone went badly. Machine froze and charged my card multiple times. The 'owner/attendant' tried to intimidate me out of a refund even though I never did get my car wash I won't go back. I filed a report on him with several agencies. I had been visiting this place for 4 years without coming in contact with an employee. The last time it overcharged me I could not get a response from the business, money back or carwash. I thought I'd try again but went worse than ever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. UPDATE: Finally received a response through the BBB on this place. They admit to overcharging me and still won't cough up a refund!!! read more

Found my new place to wash my truck. Be careful using the credit card in the self service wash... I started using quarters which is $1.75 for maybe 5 minutes. The water stops when the time runs out. I take my time and do a good job when washing my truck. After two cycles, I ran out of cash and had to use credit card to finish up. Even though I was done washing, I kept cleaning thinking that I still had time and didn't want to waste my money... then I realized that with credit card, it keeps going until you turn the dial to Stop... opps. The best car wash in the area! I've been going here for years. Touch less automatics do a great job! The manager there is great and always willing to lend a helping hand if you have a problem. They have upgraded a lot of the equipment as well. Highly recommended! read more

After a few bad experiences at other self serve car washes, this one was great, everything worked and the attendant was very helpful.

No way to know what the total cost is - no receipts given. Instructions on how your card will be used are not posted that I could find. $10.00 to wash my car? Ok, let me tell you a story. You won't believe it. I've been going to this car wash for 3 years. I recall once I got an extra quarter from the change machine and tried to give it back, but they person working there told me to keep it. I've always been quite pleased with the place. Not great equipment, but you get what you pay for and as stated, they were very pleasant. Until last Saturday. I went in to get a good vacuum and wipe down the car. Just detail work. The car wasn't particularly dirty and it was going to rain so I didn't want to do a big wash. The first thing that happened was that the person doing the clean up, leaned against my car when he was collecting the garbage. I thought it was odd, but I thought it was just an accident and didn't say anything. I'm vacuuming and checking for spots I missed and then the vacuum stops. Of course. No big, I decided to take the opportunity to check if I missed anything and cleaned out the back pockets of the driver and passenger side. Etc. While I'm working and wiping down everything, the same guy that leaned against my car comes by and asks if I was done with the vacuum. I replied, "I think so." Before I knew it, he says, "Well if you're finished, roll up the vacuum and put it back." Typically, places that I give my money to don't give me orders. This person made this statement as if he was talking to.... well you know. I replied, "Well when you start paying me to work here, perhaps I will." You see my parents didn't raise me to be spoken to without respect, therefore this person was not going to speak to me this way and get paid for it. He replied, "What did you say?" I replied, "Did I stutter?" He then said, wait for it, "We don't like your kind of people around here!" Yes, he did. I said what kind of people is that? He tried to recover and said, "rude people." He then went on about how if I wanted to use the equipment, I had to clean up. That's when I threw down the little mini wipe I was using at the time. At that point, wait for it, he called the police. The police. I really couldn't believe he would actually call the police because I threw down on the ground what amounted to a tissue, but believe it or not, he did. I left so as not to escalate the drama. I told he as I left that it wasn't my fault he wasn't making money. This is the only explanation for him to speak to me like this that I could think of. The poor police caught up with me as I was getting gas at the citgo station on the corner. I was so embarrassed and apologized profusely to these poor hard working civil servants. I explained what happened just as I have here. They didn't blame me and of course nothing happened since I hadn't done anything other than stand up for myself. They told me he was just a *(&%^ and not to go there anymore. Obviously that wouldn't be an issue. They said it's not like there aren't a million car washes and of course they are right. But just the fact that this lunatic would call the police. Want to know the topper? I wasn't finished with the vacuum. i had said, "I think so." If the *$*(^ had been more civil, he would have found that I wasn't finished. Thank you RLBPD for your kindness and courtesy and my sincerest apologies that you have to deal with stupid drama. Decent quality drive-thru car wash and been going here off and on for years, but was a little PO'd to check my bank debits this morning and saw that I was charged $13 on the self card swipe wash when it was supposed to only be $8 when I visited on Saturday July 7 between noon and 1pm. Fix the machine so it charges the correct price! read more
