This has been my go to gas station and car wash for years UNTIL today. I've stopped here once a week for years but after today I will not go there ever again. The facility has gotten rather gross and run down. Two of the pumps no longer run without constantly stopping and clicking off every 30 seconds. The car wash is an absolute waste. You can get a wash that is way more effective for a third of the cost. Today there was diesel fuel all over the ground and pump without any effort for it to be cleaned up. When I went inside to ask for assistance the significantly unhelpful cashier let me know that the pumps have been working fine and just 20 minutes ago the person used it without any issue so it must be what I am doing there. After being unable to fill my gas tank at the pump that continually stopped, I tried to go to another pump. After all, I was trying to fill up the tank, so I wouldn't have to stop and purchase gas two more times this week. The cashier never approved the purchase at the next pump that I tried. Disgusting grounds - dirty and unclean - rude and dismissive staff. This makes me sad because the owner used to take a great deal of pride in his store and shop. I got the #1 wash for $30 and paid extra to have my mats cleaned. They didn't even vacuum the inside or wipe down the seats. Pretty sure they scratched the hood of my car. I will never come back here and I am disappointed in the service from this place. I moved everything from my car so they can clean it good since I was paying for the more expensive wash. The Car Spa does a nice job; however, is not as thorough as they used to be. I took fabric mats out and left behind seats so they could vacuum. I asked the gentleman when I checked in and drove up if they wouldn't mind snapping my mats back in after vacuuming and he said they would. I was disappointed they left them in the back, so simply put them back myself. It was a small ask, and at $30 for a car wash I would have expected excellent service, especially when there was only one car before and after me, so it was not busy at all. Bought the number two package costing $27 to have my Hyundai Tucson cleaned and normally I would give this business a 4 to 5 star rating but this time the next day I went in to put something in my backseat and not only was the backs of the seats still dirty, but all around the door area And I don't have anybody that gets in and out of my backseat. They don't vacuum obviously they don't wipe things down very well. This once was a great place to go and have your car done but I am going to be looking for a new car wash and a new detail shop. read more

This place used to be fabulous! It has been slowly going downhill. Today was my worst service to date. First I went to the internet to see what time you opened, it said 8am. Was there by 7:50 and waited. Finally I saw someone to ask and he said 9am. Left and cane back a few minutes before 9am. If possible my car was dirtier after it was done. The windows instead of being clean it was just a bunch on smears and streaks. Couldn't even see through them! I had to ask to get them done 2 more times! Usually the outside of the car gets wiped down but that didn't happen. I paid for the #1 service and pretty sure I did not receive all that is included. The guys went thru my car so fast! Wow, what can I say!!! I made a 4- 6 hour appointment with the car wash in Third Lake, cleared my whole day for an interior clean. They took a walk-in before me and I dorked. They lost my 19 year, taxi/limo business. I called around to see if anyone could fit me in today, fore it was clear to take care of this deep cleaning. Car Spa was not only kind, fast. Beyond friendly; they were also $40.00 less expensive AND BEST OF ALL, it took them 1 HOUR with beautiful results. Forever greatful Car Spa. You have A Northern Taxi's business for sure. read more

I do not recommend this car wash. Prices are too high for the level of service. We picked LaCosta plus which is basically their highest wash to clean the outside and inside. Car was not dried well after the wash. Inside was not vacuumed thoroughly. I expected them to wipe inside well but they also did not do that. A total waste of money. Never again!! read more

Please read if you're even considering this business. I brought my boyfriend's truck there to get detailed and I assisted them with sorting through trash vs. things to keep. I didn't mind doing this but I figured they would appreciate the help and maybe take extra care of the vehicle. Interior looked great. Exterior was INCREDIBLY sub-par. The wax wasn't completely wiped down and I could see uneven streaks on the vehicle. The thing that really chapped me was that they did not even clean the bed of the truck. I would say that's a good 30% of the truck that they paid no attention to. They didn't even sweep it out just to clear dust or debris. When I left my number for the manager to call me, I left a detailed message of the things that weren't right. I left my name; Left my number. Never got a call from this business. This place is true to its name - a spa for cars. It's not like a Red Door Spa but it gets the job done for a car covered in winter crud. Pull up, pick a package, walk in, pay, wait. The crew hand dries the car and wipes up the residue your family leaves every time they enter the car. Today that includes Shake Shack crumbs from New York. The most expensive package is $23. The cheapest is $17. $5 extra for mats, which I splurged for today because I can't tell what color my floor mats are supposed to be. The best part is getting into a clean car that did not require hours of yelling at your teenagers to wash the car. read more

I've not used this place for the complete detailing of my car, but I do use the carwash side and they good a real good job. They get the car moving along quickly and I like the personal attention the guys give the car once it's out and start drying it off and giving the inside a good rub down. The cent they use also seems to linger about longer, which is always a nice thing. These guys do good enough, that when I do want a complete detailing, I'll think of no other place but here. read more

I took my truck to Libertyville Car Spa after a dealer swirled my paint and left scratches during a poor buff job. The guys at the car spa took the truck in right away. 3 hours later and a bumper to bumper detail my truck is scratch free and honestly looks better than when I first drove it away from the showroom. Took my car to get washed today. I have been going here for years. I always thought they did a great job When I drove up today, there was no one in line and they had the list of car washes on board. I thought maybe they lowered the prices because of Covid and buisness was slow. The top price was listed as "Gold Wash" for $12 so I thought that would be the best one. They literally drove my car through the wash and handed my my car back. I said, wait aren't you going to do the inside and vacuum it? He said "no" that costs $22. I was like??? So, I just paid $12 when I could have gone through the gas station car wash for $5 ??? Why didn't they have that advertised when I drove up??? I will never go back there again. This is the worst car wash I ever visited, I had their $28 Package +$5 for mats clean. Waste of Money. Their external wash is good as is done by auto machines. The interior cleaning was so bad they didn't even clean the dust on dash board, seats and steering. This car wash is good for exterior car wash only. Totally not a good service. read more

I have been coming here since 2009. I thought this was the best car wash I had ever been to and alway bought the top wash. I'm not sure when things started to go bad but I have been disappointed for several years now. It seems like it is always something. Obvious dirt, forgetting the fragrance (about 3 out of 5 Times), door pockets filthy, dirty bathroom and worse yet rags left in car. For $22.00 plus tip I was very disappointed by my last visit. On the way home from the car wash I was overwhelmed by an awful air freshener or scent that was applied to the interior of my car. This was never requested. As time went by the smell became stronger and even made my eyes water. Also the drivers side door panel and sill were still cover with road salt stains. A few days later my wife stop in to get her car washed and the windows were all streaked as if they had been wiped with dirty rags. She ended up coming home and cleaning her windows herself. I recently (6/27/22) brought my car in to be washed and cleaned--interior and exterior. The website indicated that Car Spa would be open until 6pm. When I arrived slightly before 5pm, it looked as if they were closing for the day. I asked one of the gentlemen working in the car wash area if they were still taking cars and was told yes. I chose the Le Costa Plus package at $30 and left my car with the attendant. I waited only 10 minutes or so and was surprised they finished so quickly. I left a nice tip for the workers and went to my car. The windows had not been thoroughly cleaned and my sun roof had not been cleaned at all. The front end of the car was still dirty. When I said something about the windows, the attendant said they couldn't get some dirt of the front passenger window. I rubbed the area with my finger and the dirt came right out. The attendant went back in got the window cleaner and a towel and began wiping off some of the dirt, although he didn't get it completely clean either. The back/trunk of my car still had dog hair on the back of the seats and I was told the vacuum cleaner didn't have enough power to get the dog hair out. I was very disappointed. I had used the Car Spa in Lake Forest and have always ended up with a sparkling clean car--no dog hair in sight. I called the next day and asked to speak with the manager. The manager was not available when I called, so I left a message. At this writing on Wednesday, 6/29, I have not received a return call. Consequently, I will not make a return visit. read more

I used to like Car Spa, but my last few experiences have left me frustrated. They are increasing prices and taking away services. They won't even wipe down your door jambs now if you get an exterior only wash. For some reason, they consider door jambs the interior of your car, so you have to buy a full interior/exterior wash to get your door jambs dried. Also, I have to ask one of the dryers to dry my wheels every single time otherwise they never get touched. There are definitely better car wash options in the Libertyville area. read more

The #1 La Costa wash for $30.00 returned a car with virtually no vacuuming, interior wash was spotty and the messy. Floor mats so full of water that I pulled them out and dumped out the water while 2 employees stood by and laughed. I paid and asked for Amoral tires, this was not done. I've put up with hit and miss service for a few years now. Car Spa you have finally defeated me and I will not be back. But don't worry I will spread the word in every way I can. read more

Paid for the #1 with floor mats. Service is extremely variable depending on who finishes up your car. Today had multiple areas missed and not vacuumed will try to upload pictures. One gentleman complained about his car and they ran it through a second time. Irony is I had the same guy finishing up my car as he did and service was poor and in my opinion lazy. If you go know that you really need to look at your car and make them do the job you paid for. I had no additional time to argue with them today. I drove up and had to wait for two guys to finally come to my car and ask what kind of car wash I needed. I paid $15.00 for in and out I did think that was on the high side but maybe they will do a great job. After asking the man if they have a air hose so he can use it in my car he said sure. I waited outside since such a nice day. One guy pulled up in my car and speaking Spanish asked the other guy to name a song that was playing in my car. He even turned it up but I didn't say anything. When my car was done I saw that they didn't use the air hose. I brought it to the attention of some one who liked like a manager and he said they only do that for detailing.
