Very disappointed with the customer service. Had some stereo equipment installed and tint done on my car here 11 years ago. Was offered a life time warranty. I still have the same car and the tint is starting to bubble so I called and spoke to the owner about having it fixed. He said he doesn't have the paperwork anymore because it's been over 7 years but the best he could do is split the cost 50/50. I understand he doesn't want a loss in money but I was offered a life time warranty. We argued on the phone for a few minutes about it. He told me that I can take him to small claims court and that his throat is bothering him and to call him in two weeks then hung up on me. I've never had such horrible customer service anywhere! He was very rude to me. He shouldn't offer a life time warranty if he isn't going to honor that. read more

Best of the Best!!! Wow!! Totally recommend!! This place is awesome -- the guys are knowledgeable, and the owner (Kal) was fantastic! He explained everything to me, how the stereo works, what needs to be done, how long, and what it would take. I felt totally comfortable letting them work on my car. Meanwhile, I lounged on the couch, watching tv in their shop. He charged me SUCH a reasonable amount, it was almost hysterical! $90 total (that price already included $40/materials), and they spent about 1.5-2 hours working on it. He came out midway, saying that the car was more complicated than expected, but never-the-less, he stayed with the price he promised. End result: My car stereo is AWESOME. It's hooked up well, plays great, and the car doesn't look like it was invaded at all! (Although they had to rewire the whole thing!). Kal (owner) was very professional, but personal at the same time. Avoid places like Best buy or Midas (who estimated $280 JUST for parts and labor, while we had our own stereo). Once upon a time in the 80's I really wanted a stereo system. So finally for my birthday my boyfriend decided that he would buy me one. Over joyed I started talking to everyone about it and looking for places for the best deals. I brought my 1990 RHD CRX here to get a stereo and alarmed installed and tint they gave me a good price and workmanship was great never had a problem with the stereo and alarm the tint was perfect....The only thing was the costumer service I had to walk around for a bit to get helped, but I would recommend this place I would bring a nicer car here....but probably got down the street to Xtreme Tint a little more expensive but worth it. read more

Second time coming here since November last year and the service is still great as ever. These guys are very friendly and honest people. Took my car in at 10AM to have sub woofer and external aux installed in my 2002 BMW 540i. The instalers are experienced and know what they are doing and installation came out really neat and clean. Total cost is $280 for parts and labor out of the door and took about 2 hours to install. Definitely coming back again in the future! read more

Went there to look for an inexpensive way to make my car iPod capable. He (I'm assuming the owner) told me he d be with me in 5-10 minutes which I was cool with. He went over options with me (hurriedly) and basically tried to talk me out of having him install the option I wanted to go with. Normally I'm not one to trash small businesses or even write reviews, and I get that it was a busy day we all have them, but I've never felt so rushed out of a place or like the staff doesn't care so much in my life. I took my business to the Audio Shop right down the street in La Mirada and they were more than happy to accommodate me. Funny that this guy has a sign posted saying that word of mouth is their only form of advertisement. Don't waste your time with this place. Plus it looks like crap on the inside. read more

First I went to different locations, and they played me for stupid like I didnt know what they were talking about. Then I came to Car Stereo Masters and the owner gave me a great deal on a double din pioneer stereo, and I also got my windows tinted here on my 2010 civic. I get free lifetime warranty on the film, NOT THE LABOR!!!! which is beyond fair. Will definitely comeback for more items for my car. read more

I don't recommend this place. Had equipment installed and the work done was half ass. Left pieces on my car loose that was removed during install. Amp was missing a screw so that was loose as well. My right door speaker wasn't working took it back and with out doing any diagnosis was told my speakers were bad. Bought new speakers and had the same problem. Finally decided not to go back and went to another shop to find out it was a shorted wire the whole time. $30 fix at another shop. If you care about your car take it somewhere else. read more

This place is great! We had priced a stereo with installation at Best Buy La Habra /Fullerton and were told we'd have to provide faceplate and some mounting hardware from the Dodge dealer. My vehicle is a 2007, so it didn't sit right with us. Pricing was really high too. We showed up here, got what we wanted and then some. Paid about the same as Best Buy but got lots and lots of extras. The service was great from the owner and Mike, we'll, I can't say enough great things about him. There are three ways to upgrade car stereo. The cheapest way is to buy the parts online and install it oneself. One can go to a Fry's or Best Buy, the next cheapest option. Finally, one can go to a car stereo expert. When I don't have the time or expertise for a certain job, I prefer to to go to a particular shop where I trust the owner or salespeople. I trust the owner of Car Stereo Master, Cal. He knows just about everything there is to know about car stereo. Knowledge is important with some installs because some cars need special modules or there are tricks to tearing apart a particular dash. I ask him for advice on products like speakers and feel like he gives an honest answer. The best part is that he'll fix little problems with the install. I had a problem with AM reception and he took the stereo out and installed a new antenna. I've been there for three vehicles and have eventually left happy every time. read more

If it could be NO stars.. it would be. I walked in.. The middle eastern owner was there, no greeting. . Didn't acknowledge me. .. I had to ask about a stereo. He set the price of a head unit at 160.. then once I asked about installation.. Price went to 220.. then I asked about the installation kit.. He set the price at 50.. that's 10 to install ?? I said I will bring the car so he can set a more accurate price.. then he went back to his phone call. During my stay after our price quotes. . He mention on the phone that I ( a customer )was there and will probably look online for better prices like "they" all do and come to him to fix what I messed up !! - he said this plenty loud and so I could hear him. So.. I did go check online.. found out about his $55+ markup (compared to best buy of all places ) on the exact same head unit.. went to buy it at best buy. I even found the install kit and harness there for $20 and installed it same day without any problems ! Fyi.. If you get the kits from best buy audio install department.. they are cheaper then in store kits and the exact same thing.. just in bags. I will not go back to this place because the owners attitude and rudeness.. we are all consumers looking for a great deal.. I'm sure he doesn't pay retail with large markups if he can avoid it. read more

Very lucky they got one star but I had to leave it. The owner is rude and obnoxious. My husband went in to purchase a stereo but while he was looking around the owner was talking about how my husband was just looking...... To summarize it he'll go somewhere else but he'll be back because they do it right. First of all he doesn't know us from the next Joe. My husband doesn't need to pay for lack luster service when he can do a perfectly excellent job himself. Secondly this guy changes prices as if know ones going to notice. If you buy stereo equipment straight out with no installation be prepared to pay more. He told my husband the harness and the kit was $45 and the radio was $150 but if he wanted it installed there he would charge him $200. Free labor?! Sign me up, right? You may think "great deal" but to me if you're insulting your customer and increasing the price at the same time its horrible business practice.
