Employees have terrible customer service skills. Too bad I have to drive to Medford, but it's better than dealing with rudeness, (I make a day trip, its not wasted.) These people forget that they are in existence because of the consumer. Word of mouth is strength. They think there business is always going to be great. When business is good, it is good. when it is bad remember how you treated people. Referrals dwindle when your attitude is poor. The owners should be aware that there employees are a reflection on them. I have fired people for lack of customer skills. I am sure the owner knows what I am referring too. Maybe he should have that meeting with his people. There are ways to get your point across without the attitude. I stopped in today because my back up camera (in the stereo unit they installed at least 3 years ago) was acting up. They checked it out and determined that there was and RCA plug that had become worn that was the culprit. When I went to settle up, I was told, no charge, as they guarantee their work as long as you own the vehicle. So I'm all fixed good as new! I took my 2008 forerunner in to have a stereo and back up camera installed. The cost was close to $1000. When I picked up my SUV everything seem to be fine until I got home and tried to use my rear windshield wiper and my rear window. Neither one of them worked so I took it back to Car Tubes and waited there for an hour and a half only to be told that their mechanics had nothing to do with a mishap of my windshield wiper or my window issue. That the problem was in my steering column and I needed to take it to a dealer. The manager at Car Tunes told me he was going to look for the part that was required to fix my issue and that they would be glad to install it, however I would need to pay for the service. Of course, I never heard back from him. I proceeded to take my car to grants Pass Toyota. After $143 for an inspection, the mechanic fixed the problem and proceeded to tell me that the person who installed my rearview camera had to bypass both my rear windshield wiper and rear window assembly and when they put it back together, they did not line up the windshield wiper to the motor, which caused both items to stop working. Needless to say, I will never recommend this place again. Many hours of my time and additional money I had to pay for their oversight and no follow up from the manager. BAD BUSINESS!!!! read more

Today I had the worst experience in Grants Pass at a local business, Car Tunes on 7th St. I try to always help out the little guy. Huge mistake. They had a new employee working the counter. I needed a 3 ohm 4 inch speakers for a Goldwing motorcycle. He told me they do not make them anymore but he has 4 ohm 4 inch speakers that will sound better and they have them in stock. So I said what if he isn't happy with them or they are the wrong ones? He assured me I could return them if they were not the correct ones. I told him I guess I could buy them and return them within an hour if they are not right. I asked him what time do they close before i bought them so i had enough time if i needed to return them. I bought them knowing if needed to return them, i had time to do. Well it's not what he said... NO RETURNS, ONLY STORE CREDIT. IT WAS NEVER DISCLOSED TO ME. I EVEN TALKED TO THE OWNER HE WOULD NOT HONOR MY PURCHASE. I PAID CASH!!! DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU KNOW YOU WILL NOT NEED TO RETURN THE ITEM. read more

Shit service. Destroyed my car just for a simple amp installation that only required screwing in. Only an absolute moron would have cut into the vehicle interior to fit an amp that would have fit already!!! All of my paneling is loose as hell and coming up after they did the wire install. Manager was completely unwilling to deal with his employees incompetence and I have yet to receive a single dollar for their mistake. They hooked my RCA cables backwards also and had to drive 30 miles because I was unsure why my speakers weren't playing. I didn't receive one apology for the four mistakes they made. The manager literally pretended to be on the phone with a customer so he didn't have to deal with me, Even though he knew I drove 30 miles to talk about a refund. I went to 7 different Car Stereo installation companies located in Medford and Grant's Pass, before making my decision. I decided to go with Car Tunes, after speaking with Fermin. Fermin spent quite some time with me (about 45 mins) to explain which systems were compatible with my Hummer and which units had all the features I was looking for. * AMAZING Customer Service !* The Hummer required special installation for the Backup Camera. It needed to be located on the bumper, under my spare tire, due to my license plate being located on the drivers side. I must say, not only did the technicians install the camera where I needed it... they drilled a hole in my bumper and made it look like part of my vehicle, vs. just screwing on a bracket type camera under my bumper. I was/am Really impressed with their installation. Oh, and my Double Din Dash JVC kw-v250bt Stereo unit installation ended up looking professionally installed as if it was and original factory unit. Was greeted with respect and a few simple questions about what I was looking for. He showed me several examples about what my "upgraded" sound would be like on his example board. Made my choice and even felt educated about it! My plan is to upgrade the back speakers now and there is no question who to go to for the work. She didn't feel very kindly about his answer and attitude after spending a fair amount for the install. I believe customer service is most important when it comes to future referrals! Absolute junk. Thats what he sold me. The stereo does not perform as he said it would and the "upgraded" speakers sound worse than my stock ones. I am embarrassed to turn on my stereo in my Jeep. Install looks like junk as well. Gaps all around my stereo. I could have hired a 10 year old and would have had better results. Should have known better. He was supposed to install a sub in my center console of the Wrangler. Said it would be in by Wednesday, I called and then he said Friday. I called again, he said he would call when it gets in. That was over 3 months ago. I call and get the run around. These people should be run out of town. When you walk in it reminds me of a swap meet booth. Where do I begin first of all I went to get a alarm system and door actuators Put in my 98 Toyota Tacoma last year in April after it was done I noticed that if i opened the door when the alarm was alarmed that it would not go off it would only go off when the door was shut after someone already stole my stuff and ran.when I called to make a appointment the guy on the phone told me it's the viper alarm system they were gonna put in but instead they put the wrong one in my truck so I took it back and the guy fixed the problem with the door and then told me that the guy that was doing my truck that day didn't know what he was doing and he was fired then I was charged 300 dollars for door actuators that I could of got on Amazon for 15 dollars and they also came in pack of 4 which I only have 2 doors the same day I had a sony touch screen deck put in it worked fine for about 9 months until my speakers and deck would not work so I had a buddy that new his shit on speakers and wiring so I had him take a look at it and it turns out that car tunes cut my Toyota oem dash wiring harness in half and basically f*** it up which made my deck fail so now I'm spending way more money just to fix the wiring they also forgot to bolt my ohhhh shit handle on and forgot to put the trim clips in which isn't a huge deal but it's still annoying paying a lot of money for what you think is getting professionally installed and every person that I've talked to that went there says they always mess people's stereos up if I were you I would either find someone that knows what there doing or you could just be better off looking up how to install speakers on YouTube. read more

I went in, and upon pulling into the driveway all of the employees were in the garage with their dogs and friends. I went inside. And was greeted with prompt service. When I picked out the stereo I wanted, we went to the register. The fill price was $119. So I handed him the $120 (exact) that was in my wallet. And all of a sudden he only has $100 in his hands. So he asks for another twenty. Saying there was only $100 there. Which I know for a fact was not true because $120 was my budget. Feeling uncomfortable like I was being strong armed into this. The aftermarket stereo that was in my Mercedes completely died on me and Car Tunes was recommended to my boyfriend so this is where we took it. They installed a new receiver in the time frame promised and I was very happy with the outcome. We took my car back to have them install my sub to the side of my trunk so that I didn't have the big box that literally took up half of my trunk. Bought 2 systems from them in the past and installed them myself with no issues. Last one I bought, I brought it home, installed, and it didn't work . Took it back in the next day, the guy tested the $100 dollar adapter I purchased there and said It was faulty. Wouldn't return or exchange it either. Said I'd have to call the factory and work it out with them or just buy another adapter. Then they charged me for diagnosing the faulty adapter they sold me. *****BUYER BEWARE!!!******* My husband bought a Viper DS4 from here for me for a Christmas gift and we have had my car back 5 times now. The second time they took out the Viper DS4 as it was faulty and installed a Pyhton 5706P and I was told all functions work on the key fob, the alarm worked, the car starter worked and the doors worked, but not the trunk as they did not hook up the truck feature as they said. So we took it back to have the trunk function hooked up. I had tripped the alarm system multiple times trying to get in to my trunk after they hooked up the Pyhton 5706P as the trunk button on the key fob was not working, the alarm was working when we took it back in. We picked up the car and as soon as I tried starting my car and it instantly stalled out. They had to fix the set up with the car starter and in the process The owner Ferman Sanchez disconnected my alarm. He is now telling me I told him I never wanted the alarm hooked up and it was never hooked up after he admitted he disabled it. Now to get the alarm system enabled he is going to charge us an additional 2 hours labor. First of all I could have gotten the Viper DS4 car starter system from Best Buy with a key Fob (that car tunes was going to charge me an additional $125 for) installed for $150 less then we paid. If I was unhappy Best Buy would have given me a full refund, which you only get store credit from these guys..why would I EVER buy anything from them again?? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY TOO MUCH FOR VERY POOR SERVICE!! They are 100% crooks read more
