I just may have found a new shop! A family member was coming from out of town and needed some MAJOR WORK done. I referred them to my usual shop and they received a quote from both places. Both shops use high quality EOM parts. Both shops have warranties that work nationwide (my usual shop has a 3yr / 36 month warranty v.s. this place 2yr / 24 month). Both shops have certified master mechanics on staff. Customer Service is great at both places. BUT, the other place quoted ~25% more for the same job, same EOM parts. In all fairness, the other shop has a warranty that covers ~33% more. Times are tough, tough call. I can't say enough about the Customer Service received at this place by KEN. Ken is very approachable, super knowledgeable about parts and the repair process. He took the time to clearly communicate the details and answered ALL OF THE QUESTIONS in a manner that made perfect sense to someone who knows almost nothing about cars. This is a skill all on it's own. Terrible service and communication.. left my car for 10 days while away on business. Took a rental car to Ellie them time to do the work. Very time I called, since they couldn't take the time to call me...I was told, no problem.. we will have it ready for you... I go to pick up the car after 10 days and I'm told.., we didn't have the tools to do the job. Something that surely could've been communicated before I come to pick up the car. It also seems like professional mechanics should know whether or not they are qualified, trained and prepared to do the work. Although they were friendly and polite, my problem wasn't fixed. I brought in my vehicle for an under-warranty fix on the carburetor and was informed that someone stripped the fuel filter housing threads and added on extra gaskets to the carburetor itself. They also said that they would've never done something like this and it's against their policy to do so. I found this to be wrong information as I have never let anyone touch my vehicle, and I never worked on it since their last fix. They were nice in quoting me the price of a new carburetor at $467 and no labor costs. I don't have the money to continue fixing something that they messed up and I wasn't able to get it fixed. I'm very disappointed with this repair shop and I will not be using them again. read more

I want to start by saying that My wife, two small children and I were driving back from her grandmothers funeral in Los Angeles, and we decided to stay in Medford for our ride back to Washington. Well right before we hit the road the AC unit went out, that's when we met Ken at Southern Oregon Auto Care center. He happily checked our vehicle and realized the blower fan went out. Thankfully the major fans like the radiator were fine. Ken located the fuse and replaced the blown fuse and fix the problem on the spot. My mom called ahead to let them know I was coming and they were able to rush my car into service despite being packed. Unfortunately, they were unable to get it done before the shop closed--not their fault. I booked a hotel and Andy was more than happy to drive me there and pick me up in the morning.
