I went to Zimbrick Honda on Grand Canyon Drive in Madison Wisconsin and was very pleased by the help and friendliness I received there. I came in with six questions and Mike Cleary (Service Consultant) answered all my different questions. Mike was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, showing me how to check and reset things on my dashboard controls. My interaction with Mike Cleary made me more open to getting my car serviced at Zimbrick Honda. I drove away with the feeling "they'll take care of me"---Ben D.

    LONG STORY SHORT: Zimbrick completely tried to rip off my brother and lied about what work needs to…read morebe done on his car. They made him think the car was unsafe to drive, so he did not have a vehicle to drive for two weeks, only to find out there was nothing wrong with his car. This is a review posted for my brother's experience specifically at the Zimbrick Honda dealership's service center on Grand Canyon Drive. AVOID THIS SERVICE CENTER AT ALL COSTS!! They are dishonest about what work your car needs, and they will try to rip you off completely. My brother was told by the Zimbrick sevice center that his car was leaking transmission fluid from the axle seals. They also mentioned that his air intake hose was about to tear, and it needed to be replaced immediately. Both of these were strange findings as his car is not that old and has relatively low mileage. So, he took the car to Goodyear (on 608 Washington Ave.) to get another quote and a second look. Zimbrick quoted him for $840 for the transmission fluid issues, while the folks at Goodyear quoted him for literally HALF the cost. However, they also said they couldn't find a leak. Apparently, his car's seals were totally fine. As for the air intake hose, Goodyear found that it's only slightly worn from weather and time, but it still looked fine. The mechanic at Goodyear said they wouldn't recommend my brother to go out of his way to replace it until a light comes on for it on the dashboard of the car Overcharging is standard for dealerships, so that's to be expected, but it is totally unacceptable to tell customers that urgent service must be completed when there are zero problems. Zimbrick inconvenienced my brother for two weeks because he couldn't drive his car during that time, and it turns out it was all a lie! BONUS ADVICE: Seriously, go to the Goodyear on 608 Washington Ave. when you need stuff done for your car. They're so honest and they're such standup people there. They went one step further after checking over my brother's car to say that they weren't comfortable charging him with anything because no services needed to be done. They didn't even charge my brother for the part they ordered because they will just send it back for him at no cost. How amazing is that, right?!

    "Would give zero stars if I could" review below…read more I brought my brand new 2025 Telly here for a check engine light for power train(1k miles). They had it 2 weeks, and kept telling me they were "looking at it tomorrow" or "it was looked at today" even though I had cameras on it and could tell it was never moved. After the 2 weeks, and me constantly asking, they said it was looked at and fixed in 20 minutes as all it needed was an update. Fast forward one week- my husband was driving on the highway and it locked into 5th gear. Safety hazard and frustrating. I brought it to Metro Kia and they had it diagnosed legitimately in 30 minutes. I called Russ Darrow to complain and they informed me no actual work was completed on my car(no updates even), but just the check engine light was cleared. So not only did they risk my transmission, they also risked our safety. I won't even discuss all of the loaner issues I had here- I was put in one shooting gas out of the cap & deemed a safety risk. I was told they were going to do an "investigation" and contact me back on how to make it up to me, but I haven't heard anything. Even had hail damage while on their lot during the storms that they refused to disclose when I asked and I found after the fact. So please beware of this Kia and go to Metro- don't risk your vehicle or your safety going here. Mickayla is the literal only reason I'm not filling a full report to corporate about this location.

    I was in for recall work. Staff were friendly and I was processed right when I drove in. It was…read morenice to get a ride to work (not that far, but still). No rides BACK to the shop, but I had a ride anyway. The service was performed and the car was ready when I was done with work. The service included a multi-point inspection, which may feel like they're digging up work - but in my case it confirmed all was well. The pointed out a few small light bulbs that were out, which I was able to fix on my own (for a fraction of the cost). I rarely get service at dealerships - they are way more expensive than regular mechanic shops (which are more expensive than doing it myself!). In a pinch, they would do - but dealerships, for me, are primarily recall or warranty work.

I finally asked what happened and a service person said the business had changed hands around the time this downhill slide began. Explains it. Express lube? Gone! Easy appointments? Gone. Wanted to buy 4 tires in the fall: oh you'll need an appointment for that and we can't even tell you when. Costco could (and did) get me in later that same day. Lifetime rotations free and it is much closer to my house. Also free puncture repair. Costco wins. Me as a future Smart Motors customer? Also gone. I love Toyotas but I can see Fords in my future. I would rate 0/5 if Yelp allowed it.
