We have been going to them for over 25 years. We loved working with Dave and Pete. Dave retired and not sure what happened with Pete. We made appointment to get our breaks repaired. We brought the car in at specified time. They said it would take a couple of hours. We left and came back after two and half hours. Car was sitting exactly where we left it. Nothing was done. Lady at the front desk said we could not get to it. We only have one tech here. 3 techs at the location when we dropped it off. Scheduled my car for their fall service special. Base price was $35, additional for full synthetic oil and some filters. Tbh, I was way over due for a service and had a few notification lights on so I was really scared that I'd run up a fortune. The last time I had my car serviced was at Fuller's and for full synthetic oil, a 10 pt inspection, a new oil filter, and a new cabin air filter, the total was $200+. Idk if they thought they could jip me bc im a girl and i have a brand new car, but I knew something wasn't right there. This time around I researched a little more and decided to give this place a try since everyone was touting them for their honesty and reasonable prices. Walked in and was greeted right away. I came in 15 minutes early for my 9am appointment bc I wasn't sure what kind of info they'd need to take down since I was a new customer. Ended up being pretty speedy and I chilled at the dunkin donuts right around the corner. I saw them take my car in around 9:15 and it was out in about 30 minutes, maybe less. The guy at the front desk walked over to dunkin to let me know that they weren't gonna do a tire rotation anymore bc my tires were pretty much on their last leg and also told me that the air filter would have to be changed as well bc it wasn't installed correctly. I asked how much that would be and it was only $20 for the filter, no charge for the installation. My invoice came up to be $68! They replaced the oil filter, which was apparently included in the fall special bc I wasn't charged extra for it, full synthetic oil (at fullers this is $65), and the air filter. I wanted to cry bc it was so cheap, but I was also fuming just thinking of how much I paid for the same service (that turned out to be shoddy) at fullers. He also gave me a quote for the 3 tires that need to be replaced and even that price was super reasonable for tires. Overall great experience and I'm definitely returning for future services. read more

Not sure what happened to Quality Tire & Auto, Inc., but I used to go to this location for about a decade and never had any suspicions of fraud or incompetence (from about 2005-2014). I returned this year to Car-X, and it seems like the same owners/managers, however, I was left with my jaw hitting the ground. I bought a used honda and had one of my rear brake pad sensors squealing. I took it in and had them give it a free inspection. Dave told me I needed both rear rotors replaced. Also, the vehicle needed new rear passenger side pads and a caliper. The total came to $970! The worst part is, that when I did the work myself, I found out both calipers were shot, so the rear driverside caliper also needed to be replaced, which means the entire rear braking system wasn't functioning. Also, they didn't recommend new brake pads on the rear driverside, even though they were replacing the rotor, which makes no sense. Finally, they were going to charge about $150 for a complete brake bleed, which it didn't need, only the rear needed to be bled. I ended up replacing the rear rotors, braked pads, and calipers, bleeding the rear brakes for about $250. So, not only did they try to rip me off but they also didn't even diagnose the problem correctly. Will not be returning, not even for an oil change. read more

I am quite disappointed by the work did by this shop. I got four new tires mounted by this shop and after couple of years one of them started leaking air very frequently. This soon followed by other tires. It turns out that technician did not properly clean the rims before installing tires. Surface rust on rims is common due to salt used on roads in this area. Some shops use wire brush or even grind out the rust before putting new tires. I believe this shop did not properly clean rims and hence leaky tires. read more

Took my car to Quality Tire and Auto to fix a flat tire. I had purchased my tires thru Tire Rack and they had installed them. They fixed the flat, found a screw in the tread, but they gouged my rim. Immediately brought it to their attention. Manager looked at it and just blew it off indicated that it was road rash. I pointed out to him that it wasn't there before I gave them my car and he asked for proof. Give me a break. Stay away from this place. Wouldn't go back for all the tea in China! read more

My family and, more recently, I have taken our cars here for about the past ten or so years, first to their original location a little further north on the west side of Kingery Highway (Route 83) and now at their location behind Dunkin Donuts. They've always provided quick and reliable service without a hard sell, and alerted me to problems before they become serious. Update: Last oil change went well. They'll ask you if you want to change your cabin air filter, if you have any knowledge of your car or any amount of hands-on capability just Google this and handle it yourself. Oil changes are reasonably priced, $25 as a walk in or $20 if you schedule online. Your car uses synthetic oil? They've got you covered at around $40. Not a total steal, but last time I shopped synthetic $40 covered pretty much materials - let alone the time to do the work. Plus, you get the extra miles between changes (6000+ depending on your preferences and how you drive). read more

Went to Quality Tire & Auto, the speced everything out, new pads and about $400 cheaper I'm out the door in a couple hours with new brakes. I returned with my current car to get the alloy wheels serviced, alloy rims tend to corrode after 8-9 years and the air leaks. Consistent service as always, even getting the last tire done before Xmas. I just wish the wheel and rim industry was able to make reliable alloy wheels.
