Try the shop at Willow Springs and 55th for oil changes and minor items such as wiper blades and lights. I have been going here for about 15 years. I've had many cars, over too many years, and used many car repair companies. Sincerely, Maas is the best repair garage that I've used, primarily because they are honest. I used to live in La Grange, but recently moved to Lemont, and I still, even with a 30 minute drive, I come here. They are also good at it. You get to know them. Scott is the owner, and Heather the receptionist. Heather will do her best to work with your schedule, and is very pleasant, working in a sometimes chaotic environment, only because they are usually very busy. But that is, again, because they are good. You will have to schedule your car days in advance. For oil changes, you can just drive up without an appt, and in less than thirty minutes, they will be done. Any road trip that my family takes I'll have them do an oil change, and a complete testing of my car's components to ensure its safety and reliability. It gives me peace of mind. They are not inexpensive, but what car repair is anymore, but they only repair what needs to be repaired. I recall an instance when I brought my car in for a complete brake job, and was pleasantly surprised when they told me that the rear brakes had a couple of years left in them, so why not just have the front end done. MAAS has officially GONE DOWN THE TUBES! A once very reliable and professional service center has been reduced to a joke! Have had multiple issues with recent repairs from not fully completing service work to consistently using the wrong parts. My wife's car being the latest victim which had to be brought back multiple times to redo incompetent service, they have consistently used the wrong parts on her car more than once and recently because of this it's caused other issues that need repair. The latest involves them replacing the rear drive shaft assembly which has now developed into a transmission leak which did not leak previously. This is after returning multiple times to redo previous work for unrelated issues that was also done incorrectly by MAAS as well. Wrong brake rotors, wrong alternator etc.....WHO'S RUNNING THE SHOW OVER THERE??? It's clear this is not a random mistake which can happen to anyone, instead this is multiple consistent issues with a serious lack in quality control regarding repairs........Oh, they do take your Money with no Mistakes! I strongly and regrettably suggest finding another service center for your needs as I can no longer recommend MAAS auto which is extremely disappointing as we have been loyal customers for many years. I did not post this comment as I have decided to check out first the outcome of My car repair. So, I brought My jalopy here for thumping sound coming from the rear passenger side. I called first and spoke to Heather who was very accommodating as I have no appointment made but she asked Me on a Thursday afternoon around 12.45ish to bring it in (My Infiniti FX35) for the thumping noise sound that have been bothering Me everytime I have to come to a complete stop - turns out it's the ball bearing. They resurfaced the rear rotors too besides fixing the ball bearing issue. Before you can pay, Scott the manager will explain to you as the customer what was done. Impressive and very detailed with Scott's explanation with regards to the problem that was fixed. I believe I will come back again. read more

My car was stalling, & jerking all my lights came on my dashboard. I brought my car to Maas this morning. The young lady asked me if I had appointment I told her no. She said it's a holiday weekend, and they are booked but we will see what we can do. I was stressed because I didn't know the cost, and I may have to rent a car because I have to work all weekend. Colleen from Maas explained to me the issue and why my car was jerking. When Colleen said my car is fixable, and I should be able to to pick-up my car today. I almost jump through phone. I wanted them to go over the 19 year old Toyota and tell me what it needs. To my surprise they told me the car is in great shape it doesn't need anything. My response was "are you sure it has to need something " again they told me what a great car we have and it doesn't need a thing. I gave them more than once to try and up sell me, but no way. Honest, Integrity, Fair Pricing, Great Service Not words typically associated with an auto repair shop but in the case of Maas these words are appropriate. They recently handled a significant amount of work on my SUV and I couldn't imagine a better experience. They not only addressed the items that were problematic but it just seems like the tightened every nut and bolt in the car such that it drives like the day I bought it. The pricing was fair unlike the dealer where you just feel like you are getting shafted...in fact, I took my car to the dealer for the same issue and they couldn't find what was wrong. Maas was super accommodating, got my car in and out, cleaned the inside of the car and overall just made it a great experience. Most importantly, they have now taken care of my wife, my mother in law and me. We travel all the way from Elmhurst to take our cars there am its completely worth it. My wife has been to way too many places where they see a woman and think they can take advantage...Maas has made her feel comfortable and they treat her with respect which goes a long way in my book. I'm new to the area - my name is from my email account and my city is because im on a vpn. I live here in the area. I am a bit ocd when it comes to driving and I felt a slight shaking at higher mphs so I took my car to get a tire balance at a well reviewed shop in the area. They said that they couldn't do a proper balance and I needed to replace my tires for approx $550. Since that's a a lot more money than I was prepared for, I looked for a second opinion. A friend from around here suggested Maas auto, so I took it there to double check. Jose took it for a test spin and said the imbalance was too slight to warrant even a balance and that the tires were fine. He also spot checked the undercarriage and capped off my windshield fluid ( I had mentioned being low) - and he didn't charge. I felt a bit guilty about the free service so I needed to write a review at least. The guy was as honest as could be, quick, all business and completely professional. When my car goes bad I am definitely taking it there if I'm still in the area. read more

When my car broke down on Thanksgiving I thought I was in for a long weekend. I had my car towed to Mass Auto Friday am. Within minutes I received a call from them to inquire the problem. About one hour later they diagnosed the car and gave me a Beyond fair price. I was delighted when they said it would be done by late afternoon. I am very happy to have found Maas Auto Inc. The Lexus dealer told me that I needed significant brake work. Rather than mortgage the house, I used Yelp commentary to find an alternate repair place. I spent a lot of time doing this as I am in the Analytical quadrant of behavior and ultimately found Maas and its owner Eric. Eric and I went through costs and parts quality up front. I took my SUV in early this weekday morning and was impressed to see all six bays with vehicles being serviced. To my delight I was told that I did not need new costly calipers as was advised by Lexus saving me several hundred dollars. Is this true honesty or what? I did need and was given premium pads and rotors at a very fair price. I am going back to Maas for any of my auto needs. Terrific! I recently moved back to this area, and when my tire was flat one morning they were able to take me in and help me out despite their busy day ahead. The fact alone that, while I waited, clients stopped in to drop off home-made baked goods and Christmas cards for the staff says everything about a private business like MAAS over a national chain. They were able to fix my wheel--it was the rim--and had me on my way for next to nothing. Coming from Chicago I had grown accustomed to repair shops that try to over sell/over charge you. This is the ONLY mechanic shop I will EVER go to. My family has been coming here for 30+ years and I remember coming here even as a little girl and being treated like family. They have extremely knowledgeable staff and are very honest. I just had a 2011 Kia Optima whose engine and possibly transmission blew at the same time. These people are the only people I trust to look at my car. They searched to find me the best deal for an engine, but I ended up getting a new car anyways. They let me keep my old car there at there shop free of charge until I sold it. They have always checked things for me free of charge as well. I went on the to Maas on the recommendation of a friend with what I assumed was muffler issues (turned out to be a bearing). I was pleased with the customer service and saw that they make a simple repair for another customer but wouldn't take payment (it was a minor fix). They saved the customer hundreds of dollars that the dealer wanted to charge. Everyone was very nice, my repair was handled quickly and they pointed out I was due for an oil change, and the repair bill was fair. The hours are hard for me (Saturday's from 8-noon only on the weekend) but I will definitely go back. read more
