We couldn't decide so we got both, figuring we could always eat left overs. The time of our order was peak lunch time rush, and it took about 30 min to get our food. We saw them making the pizza and subs fresh, and we also observed a lot of other diners, some regulars, enjoying their food and the conversation with the staff. Everyone was friendly and happy. We took our order back to where we were staying and dug into the pizza. It was a little salty for my personal taste buds, but not my husband's - he really loved the flavors. I was impressed with the crust - which is always a mark of a good pizza in my book. I would get this again, but would ask for something like a side of ranch or blue cheese to help cut the saltiness. Later that same day we ate the subs. The turkey sub was easily - seriously - the BEST turkey sub I had had in a very long time. Maybe ever. The fresh-roasted turkey, the fresh fillings - lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, and the Italian dressing - all were the perfect flavor profiles and amounts. The whole sammy was well balanced, so no one ingredient dominated. We had ordered a large, again, with left overs in mind, and cut it into pieces. I added mayo, and just thought it was moist, really tasty, and total comfort food. I would drive across the city to get that sub again. Pictured here is the pizza; by the time we at the subs I forgot to take more pics! Couple other notes: Pizza Chef is in a plaza where there is plenty of parking. They sell soda in a case as well as ice cream, and have quite a large menu that includes wraps, sandwiches and subs (hot and cold), lots of different signature pizzas plus a breakfast pizza and options to build-your-own, plus a variety of fried sides like fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, etc. They also have wings and salads. Definitely check them out if you haven't already. And get that turkey sub. You won't regret it!

I tried Compton Pizza for the first time and I guess it's true what they say, California knows…read morepizza. This place is straight out of Compton (reference to that one movie about Ice Cube). Usually I go with traditional wings, but I tried the boneless and they're dynamite, very crispy and just down right excellent. If you're trying to impress some friends or a complete stranger, I'd show up with some of these pizzas and you will win them over. This place is a pillar of the community.

I got a fish fry which was a thick slab of haddock beer battered. The fish was good, the batter was nice as well. Fries were crispy, battered pub style. I walked in at 815p and ordered the baked pasta with garlic bread. Now given that I was starving, I *thought* that I could devour everything in 10 minutes. Oh, how I was so so wrong. The baked pasta portion was HUGE and they give you an entire loaf of garlic bread, not just a couple pieces. What??!! Needless to say, I was surprised and excited!! I ate only half of the pasta and half of the loaf of garlic bread and EVERY bite was so delicious! The staff was so sweet and welcoming. They just made my night and I did not waddle away hungry. The bonus was that I ate it for lunch the next day and not only was it so filling, it was equally as delicious!
