Check in was quick (Due to me pre-booking/reserving) I made it clear I was there for 4 days (Very Hot/Humid conditions were forcast) and slept during the day. The staff said that unless I approached them, I'd not be bothered. The room was a single queen, with 2 big pillows and it was non-smoking and as clean as most well kept ones are. Fridge. microwave both were working, but the fridge was a tad cold, my lunchmeat got ice on it... The bathroom was very clean, though the paint was faded. The tub and and sink were spotless as was the entire room... There IS Train traffic about 200 yards away. I didn't worry as I had brought earplugs (I use them at work, that's why) and I heard NOTHING all the time I slept. I'd suggest having a few pairs just to be on the safe side. I still could hear my phone alarm when it went off. All in all, I was VERY glad I chose Riverside Motel and will do so again if the need arises. The rates $75 weekday/$82 weekend are pretty fair and shopping/food only a couple miles away and 4 miles further, down town Vancouver.... For the price and location, can't be beat, Book early, they fill fast!

They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The house is absolutely beautiful and the decor makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. The view of the 2 rivers merging is hard to beat- don't skip out on walking down to the chairs by the river. Maggie's breakfasts were homemade with fresh ingredients and most importantly, love.

This place harbours them big-time, so if you're sensitive like I am, just beware. The site itself is surrounded by trees, but the area where guests come in and park didn't have them so there's no central shade during the day and you feel a bit like you're on display in the center of the grounds. Not my favourite. The bathrooms were pretty clean, the showers enormous. Actually, they could do with a remodel if you ask me. There are washers and dryers. The location is right across from the lake which is beautiful, but you have to drive there because the hill to the RV park is SO steep. There are a lot of residents. It felt a little odd. I don't know if it was just us, but we didn't feel comfortable. The people a couple spots over had a dog that barked for about two hours. I considered the possibilities of asphyxiating it. I just don't understand why people allow this sort of thing. There were a couple of friendly people there tho, and the host was really nice. For $42, I've been in WAY better. Far too overpriced.

Attended a small group retreat here this weekend and it was phenomenal! They will no longer be…read moredoing group retreats yet are available for personal retreats. They have a gorgeous guest cottage that has two spacious bedrooms with windows overlooking the lake, a nice new kitchen, and a bathroom with a sauna. The grounds are gorgeous and there are lots of little spaces to write, relax, and take in the scenery. It is peaceful and serene. There is a resident black lab who is so sweet and a few cats that would rather not be bothered yet may come to see what you are up to. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the hectic scene of the city yet may not be able to escape to too far away!
