Lazy Eye Shop's new Old Town Goleta location is that girl. Bright, welcoming, and effortlessly cool…read morewithout trying too hard. First off, inclusivity is not just a buzzword here. This shop is truly for every body and every budget, which honestly feels refreshing. You'll find a thoughtful mix of vintage and secondhand pieces, locally made ceramics, jewelry, and other treasures that make it very hard to leave empty-handed (I tried, I failed). And yes, they've got great stuff for men too. Andi, the owner, has curated a space that feels intentional and community-rooted and does an amazing job working closely with local artists and giving them a platform. You can really feel that care throughout the shop, especially if you've ever stopped by during the Old Town Goleta Community Walk. Alyssa is also an absolute gem. Warm, helpful, and happy to let you browse without hovering. The vibe is relaxed, friendly, and very "take your time, you belong here." Logistics matter, so let's talk parking. There's a free city lot on the corner of Hollister Ave and Pine Ave, plus street parking if you're feeling lucky. No excuses. If you love supporting local makers, vintage, and secondhand shopping and want a shop that actually walks the walk when it comes to inclusivity, Lazy Eye Shop is doing it right.

Walked in, and found a comfy and classic pair of shoes, and now looking forward to trying on some of their men's fashions, and perusing through their assorted gift items. Thanks Danica for introducing us to all this little shop has to offer. Located right next door to Old Town Coffee. Which is perfect, coffee and fun fashions.

While this location is getting a beating in reviews, my shopping experience yesterday was fine…read more Sure, there was a long line, but I consider that standard for Ross. Sure, some shelves had low stock, though that's a common issue during the holidays, which is only exacerbated by this year's Covid-induced supply chain problems. My only expectation was to find some gift-worthy goodies, and that expectation was met. I picked up a jug of moonshine-inspired hot sauce for under $10, a fun gag gift for $5.99, a large jar of mixed peppercorns for $3.99, and another present--won't name it because the recipient might read this!--for under a fiver. The candle selection was mostly picked clean so I didn't choose one, but there were still some left. Plenty of clothing and home goods too. The store was also quite organized. Pictures indicate that sometimes things get out of hand, however both times I've visited this location it has been pretty well kept. Check-out was smooth, with a very friendly employee, and I left in under 30 minutes. Pretty good for holiday shopping on December 22nd.

Okay I know they say third times a charm but I've had two instances in 2 days with the employees…read morethat I don't appreciate. Yesterday I came into the store and asked a question about shorts that didn't have a price tag. I asked if she could tell me the price she said no go find something similar and use that price. That made absolutely no sense to me so I said So I can just go find something similar and that's the price regardless if it's higher or lower than this item. After I walked away minutes later she came back and then try to assist me properly. Maybe she was having a bad day. Today I walk in the store right after they open and I guess they're having a team huddle. Right at the doorway. I had a return and I wanted to know if I needed to do the return first or if I could do the return when I purchased the other item. As I started to ask my question the lady whom I assume was the manager interrupted me and said if you have a return you can go over there. I said okay but I have a question. She said if you're returning something you can go over there and do the return so I said that's not my question. Finally I asked my question and she gave me the appropriate answer. Don't stand in front of the store where people are walking in and not expect to be interrupted. If you want to hold a team huddle or whatever it was do that in a place where you can't be interrupted not in the entrance of the store. Oh I forgot to mention the same lady that didn't want to help me on the first day was the lady to check me out on the first day and she seems as if she doesn't want to be here or maybe she just isn't a very social person. Either way it's not a good look for the store. Shout out to the lady in the dressing room though she was very kind very nice and I saw her again this morning and she smiled and say good morning and the same bright attitude. I did appreciate her level of service. Okay so I just checked out with Carolina and oh my gosh she was also amazing So I don't know what to say two amazing people and two people that were absolutely not amazing. And the lady that helped me yesterday that was rude told me to check out with Carolina and when she spoke to me didn't even make eye contact. I can't.

I asked where the mailbox locks were. He didn't even blink and said it's down this isle right had side in bin number, it's towards the bottom. I was blown away it as exactly where he said it was. I'm so sorry I didn't get his name. I've never had anyone pretty much at any store know so exactly where something was without having to look it up. Clean cut young man with glasses. This was this evening 3/19 about 6:30. They should recognize this guy if they can identify him from this information.

Bottom Line: This place is a struggle…read more I'm just going to make this as simple as I can; - Bossman gave me a gift card he had purchased from the store - Attempted to purchase products online - Scratched the back of the card as instructed - Wasn't warned beforehand to not scratch the scracth-off area, and scratched off the pin - Had to go to the store to ask about it - Got the PIN from a kind, professional and courteous customer service employee - Walked over to the checkout area to ask if they could order something for me online, (as the part isn't IN the store) but I was already in the store - Attempted to explain but this request it was beyond the capacity of this institution - Simply went home to order what I needed from the site - Card has zero balance The above wasted hours of my life are certainly not the first and certainly not the last. I have had so many painful interactions in this store and it goes back decades. Today just prompted me to actually write a review and this one leaves a bad taste in my mouth for sure. I'm going to go ahead and leave off the phone call I made regarding the zero balance gift card that also lasted nearly an hour as it doesn't pertain to anything this store has done but it's a nice cherry to add to the story. The only people that I have consistently had a positive experience with are the Customer Service people, just inside the entrance. Against all odds, these folks are out there doing what I would imagine is the hardest job in the store.
