We order often from this location and it's constantly gone down hill in the last year. The last few times the pizza tasted boring. The sauce did taste the same, just no flavor. But the last straw for their pizzas was our last pizza...pieces were missing. There were 3 pieces missing when it was delivered. We checked the box for possible breakage, etc...nope. Someone straight up either ate 3 pieces or when it cooked, something happened, but they decided to still give us the pizza. 3 pieces don't seem like a big deal, but it's the principle. We called to let them know and they'd closed. The staff are still friendly and burgers are still good. Though, we'll prob not order from them again. read more

Carbone's pizzeria is a place everyone should try because it's that good. Located on the north side of Rt 55 in Hastings and is a small pizza place but has the best pizza I've had while traveling for business. Coming from Chicago we pride ourselves for making excellent pizza. I have to say I am always judgmental when it comes to pizza because the pizza in Chicago is so good. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and seated right away. I explained that I had never eaten there before but was recommended by someone who had eaten there. So after being explained about how they make their pizza from the ingredients they use to the thickness of the crust I ordered the super pie which was made special for me. This pie normally is made with a thicker crust and is the only one on the menu that requires a thicker crust due to having a ton on it, so the thickness is to help support it so you can still pick it up and it doesn't fall apart. My request was to have the crust be the normal thin crust which they accommodated me and I requested the cheese be browned. (This is so everything stays on the crust as well and the cheese is not so stringy). This pizza was amazing and if Carbone's came to Chicago they'd do very well! It was layered perfectly, cooked perfectly and tasted just like I had hoped. It's nice to be out of town and get good pizza. They deliver as well but even if they were not 3mins from where I'm staying I'd drive 15-20mins just to eat there or to pick the pie up. The sauce was not too much and not enough but rather evenly mixed. Whoever they have making their pies knows what they are doing and should know that their skills are appreciated!!!! Before I left I was thanked for coming and given a menu and a coupon that they punch and explained that for every 10.00 I spend I get a punch and after 10 punches I get a discount of 10.00 off which based on the prices that's either a free pizza (depending on the size) or 50-75%off that order which is a great deal if you are like me and out of town a lot and don't have time to cook. I am so glad I took the advice from my roommate to try Carbone's and you should too. They aim to please and that's just what they did in my case. My only suggestion is start making a XL 16" or 18" pizza because I like left overs and 14" doesn't allow you to do that as often when you are with 2 big guys. Ordering 2 14" pizzas would have been too much so this is why I recommend this but maybe that's your reasoning to get people to keep coming back for more so in that case keep up the good work because you have something great here. I will be ordering from you very soon and your menu is now on our info board at my apartment. The question is can you deliver to inter grove at the refinery because if you do I'll be ordering food for crews there if not then I might have to drive and pick them up because everyone should try your pizza. Well we heard that They had new management, so my wife wanted to try them again. To be honest, I am not a fan of pizza but wife loves them. We ordered a 14 inch meat eaters. It came in good time, the delivery driver was real nice. Opened the box and noticed hardly any cheese at all. I grabbed some of the sausage that was sticking up and tried it and it was good. But then when we began to eat it was so salty. As I said my wife likes pizza and she said this was the last time she will order from them again. If it wasn't for the fast time and good driver the rating would be a 1 star. read more

We were looking forward to good pizza tonight, but we're very disappointed. This is the second time this has happened here. The pizza took forever to be served. The crust was burned and tasted like corrugated cardboard. We spent $60 and had crap. We will not be back. They were not busy so that could not have been the cooks excuse. They have the rudest owner ever she was unreal. I have everything on recorder. The one employee say she wont be in till monday than she is there after waiting an hour an twenty minutes to get my food it gets hear and it cold like there service. The driver says norhing no total or anything just how are you and i say great waiting an hour and a half for a pizza he hands it to me and walks away. It was free no the owners there and she wants to argue, j called to ask why didn't he take the money? First and last time i ever order from these lieing, rude people. Food is absolutely amazing on the other hand customer service is rude, I had placed a order for some fries and they had sent bread not a big deal called and explained to a nice gentleman, he had handed the phone to the lady I placed a order with and when she got on the phone she was very rude about it and was insisting I said bread, and proceeded to cut me off staying they were really busy and if I wanted them or not also stating her manager was being very nice about the whole situation, I never got the chance to speak to the manager considering she had hung up on me but this also makes the manager look bad as well, I'm 25 and we order the fries every time we get pizza (which is at least 2-3 times a month) i may have said cheesy fries but in no way did I say bread, long story short they need to get some more friendly staff because as of now I will not be ordering from that establishment for quite some time read more

My wife and I came in on tuesday night and ATTEMPTED to order some drinks, but everytime the waitress stopped at our booth, something else suddenly became more important for her to take care of. We waited what seemed like an eternity to finally get our sodas. We had to repeat our order multiple times and when we finally did get our sodas, she walked away and went to the bar and talked to the customers there while we waited ANOTHER 10 mins for our orders to be taken. She consistently tried to butt into our conversation when we FINALLY got our food. The food was good but the service was horrible. I would recommend somewhere else or new staff. read more

Best pizza in Minnesota so far.. been to most of the Carbone's and this one is best by far.. we drive a hour to have there pizza..

Tried some pizzas and a hoagie. The extra sausage pizza maybe had what a normal sausage pizza would have. The buffalo chicken pizza barely had any chicken. In fact there were more pieces without chicken than with. They used normal pizza sauce, and only used a sprinkling of buffalo sauce on top. The taco pizza was layered in crushed chips, and I couldn't find any actual taco meat. The ham on the hoagie was like rubber. We definitely won't be back. We live in Hastings, but will continue to go to the carbone's in St. Paul Park. read more

I can hardly express how disappointed I was with my last order at Carbone's in Hastings. When I say my last order I mean it was my last order ever. I ordered a 16" pizza and I thought it looked like a small box when I picked it up but I would wait until I got it home as to not make any assumptions, it measured just under 14". I specifically asked to make sure the crust was well done and it was not even a light brown it was doughy. I ordered it with kraut and when we opened the box at home I wasn't sure if they forgot the kraut or not, I would wait until we tasted it before making judgement. I am still not sure if the kraut was put on,if it was it couldn't be detected by eye or taste. Carbone's it self as franchise can be a great pizza however I would or will never order one from the Hastings location ever again. I would sooner call a local bar and order a $4.00 Tombstone that they are going to charge me $8.00 for. At least I wouldn't feel like I was fleeced on a simple pizza order. I can say it was the 1st time I have ever taken the time to write a review about a pizza but it was the worst experience I have had ordering a pizza ever. Of course I am only 58 so I probably have only had a couple hundred or so. read more

Order was for dine in. 2 pizza sandwiches. After over 30 minute wait we asked what was taking so long. There was maybe one other table so it wasnt a dinner rush. Over crowded ovens was the response. Finally got our order and still was under done and part raw. Then we were told they were placed too close to the oven door they kept opening and closing, so they didnt cook right. Apparently if you come in the place to eat you are NOTa priority. There was a group who came in after us and who "pre Ordered" their pizzas. Probably a good idea if you dont want to WAIT FOREVER? Owner came to our table and apologized and advised of oven door excuse and said they have operated a Carbones for 30 years. I was surprised she admitted that. They did comp our bill but we left hungry and left the food there...I really like Carbones food, but not at this one. Mark was missed for quality of food. Our waitress was very nice. Really dissappointed with the food and will not return. Ever. read more
