Great customer service! I went to other shops to build a deck mine has what i was looking for. However when i got here not only did they have what i need but i was giving advice and tips on how to play the game which was really valuable because I'm a new player. Even stuck around to play in a tournament and it was a lot of fun.

My friends and I agreed it's a great place if you want to go and try out some games before purchasing elsewhere. I love the setup. It's so chill. You're able to bring outside food and drinks. You're paying $8 as admission which isn't bad at all since there is no time limit. Check out their website. All in all, I would definitely come back

My husband knows I love Game of Thrones and picked it off the shelf while browsing. That was a mistake. It was a very strategic game that required way too much brain power for me haha. We spent too much time trying to figure out the rules. Next time, we'll come earlier or just stick to easier games. They have something for everybody. You have access to all the games as well as all the rooms. You can decide if you want a private room or be out in the main room. It's all just based on availability at the moment. We happened to go when there was an event happening which contributed to the fun atmosphere as well. The price was fantastic. Definitely a great value with a wide selection.

Gamer's Haven is a relaxing place to play role playing games and such away from home with like minded people. Most of the gamers connect through the website meetup which shows the date and times gaming groups play. They regularly look for new players. The establishment has an extensive collection of roleplaying books for a variety of games. Think of it as a library of sorts only devoted to roleplaying. The owner/manager(s) (Dave) are thoughtful and considerate men who appear to run their business 1st to provide an atmosphere where grownups can enjoy each others company like a book or chess club only role playing games. Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Warhammer 40k, Rifts and card games like Exploding Unicorns and such. They have three private rooms for private gaming. The place is mature. You can bring your own beer as no one there is under 21 and everyone is polite. They have a membership program ($35 a month) but you can pay by the day ($5 a day). First day of play is free as a trail to see if you like it. They take cash, venmo, etc. They also have some paints and figurines if your into personalizing your character piece. Gaming materials (dice and such) for sale and can order. They even have a 3d print you can use by the hour (they charge by the hour). I like their snack section that comes with a number of candy bars, nuts, ramon, ice cream bars and drinks. They have a microwave, frig, and sink.the place is made up of 3 sections. The back appears to be dedicated to Warhammer 40k. They have free wi-fi at Gamer's Haven too. Overall I think the place is a must see once in your life as an alternative to the library. Your not in an awkward position of having people over late at night if you have kids and such. However, unlike the library their hours are open past 8 pm. I think members can stay after management leaves with membership access. They have security cc cameras inside and the doors lock after you leave. Atmosphere: 6 star. Clean. Fair temperature. Wifi Service: 5 star. Quality: 5 star. They have a gaming table with a monitor. A collection of gaming books. Value: not sure of the going rate in the industry. Still if one lives close enough and has they friend to play with its better than online gaming or watching TV

Walked over to the other side of Garey Ave to antique row after our early dinner and checked out…read moreGame Nights which is usually super packed during 2nd Saturday art walks. We chatted with Kyle the owner who has intimate knowledge of 80% of the games in the store, having played them at least once. My husband bought the newest version of Horrified which is a series of cooperative games in which you are vanquishing monsters and saving villagers, this one is Dungeons and Dragons themed. Meanwhile, I talked with Andrew, a game enthusiast who had just purchased a huge game box with cards and dragon figures and was learning how to play it. Tuesdays are game nights there for people looking to play board games with a group. There are several tables for that purpose, and so many games for single players, duos, and larger groups. Super fun store!

Over the past year, we placed pre-orders for five separate releases. Five times, we were let down…read more Each time, we chose to support Game Nights because we believe in backing local game stores and building a healthy community. Each time, that trust was misplaced. Not only did we fail to receive our pre-orders on all five occasions, but the owner never once reached out to inform us that the products had not arrived. Every single time, we had to contact him ourselves on release day to discover--again--that nothing was coming. That lack of communication is what hurts the most. Even if product allocation was an issue, there was no courtesy, no transparency, and no respect shown toward loyal customers who planned ahead and committed to pre-order their products from Game Nights. A simple message would have allowed us to secure our orders elsewhere. Instead, we were left in the dark--repeatedly--and were informed too late to buy products at MSRP. This isn't just unprofessional; it makes it incredibly difficult to justify supporting this store at all. Adding to the frustration, the owner has also begun removing gaming space, further destroying the community that once made this shop special. Game Nights used to feel like a true community hub--a place where people gathered around Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, MTG, board games, parties, special occasions, and more. Now, it feels like a business focused solely on extracting every possible dollar, with little regard for the community that helped build it. We understand that running an LGS is hard. We can empathize with the challenges of keeping a struggling business afloat. What we cannot excuse is the ongoing, disrespect toward the very customers who go out of their way to offer consistent support, only to be mistreated time and time again. If you're looking to reliably pre-order TCG products, we strongly recommend considering these alternatives in the area: Lost Level - Strong community, active Discord, and dependable pre-orders A&N Collectible - Community could improve, but pre-orders are consistent Miss Play - New and growing; pre-orders may vary, but the community is welcoming Side Quest - Beautiful space; we haven't pre-ordered yet, but plan to in the future Ultimately, the repeated failures, lack of communication, and disregard for loyal customers are driving people away and have reduced this store to an empty shell of its former self. We mourn the loss of what was once a beautiful third space for our community, and it is deeply tragic that the owner shows no willingness to change. Supporting local businesses only works when that support is respected and reciprocated--and here, it simply wasn't. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Response to Kylan S.: While you may not have explicitly labeled them as "pre-orders," these transactions were consistently discussed as such with your players, and no clarifications were made regarding this "wish list." This left many members of the community with the clear impression that products had been reserved. Instead of out right lying to them, you are now having them lie to themselves. Your response only reinforces the concern about the lack of professional and transparent communication with your supporters. If this same level of clarity carries over to your distributors, it is unfortunately not surprising that product availability has been an ongoing issue. Thank you for the apology. We hope that Game Nights can one day return to being the space our community once loved.

I rearranged my schedule and made time to come back based on what your staff told me. When I arrived today, I was told they still weren't out yet. When I asked if there was anything they could do since I was specifically instructed to come back at that time, the employee at the front basically acted indifferent and just said there was nothing they could do. I've been in retail for years, and entering inventory into a system is not some massive impossible task. This honestly came across as laziness and a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Don't tell customers to come back at a specific time if you're not actually prepared to follow through. Traffic and gas prices in Southern California are terrible. People are spending real time and money to come support your business, so at least be considerate of that when making promises to customers. I understand inventory processing takes time, but communication and effort matter. A simple apology or attempt to help would have gone a long way. The store is large and packed with product, but there also weren't many customers there, which makes the lack of urgency even more frustrating. The owner should seriously consider improving management and customer service standards because experiences like this are exactly why customers stop coming back.
