Small care shop with space for playing card games. They primarily have magic the gathering and one other game (forgot the name). My little brother was on the hunt for Pokémon cards and so that's why we stopped in, they had a few, but it is definitely not their main card game that they support here. And it's still worth a visit and if you're looking to explore outside of Pokémon and into maybe magically gathering or the other game that I can't remember, the staff was really friendly and answering questions. read more

I am making this review as a Digimon TCG card game player, unfortunately this place ended up being a disappointment both for playing other people as well as buying cards Starting with positives really quick The store itself does look nice for the decent amount of players I'm guessing for their more popular games it's a solid way to spread people out They have this cool TCG player system where if you make an order on it but you live close by and want to pick up the card you can order to do so and save yourself some shipping costs and basically have to hold on to a card for a little bit Sadly we already have to go on to the bad news They have a Digimon tournaments every Sunday, but sadly it's pretty clear that they don't prioritize them anymore. Not necessarily their fault in this regard but be lucky if two to four people show up on a good day for a Sunday evening local However what is the store's fault is even when four people show up for a tournament proper they don't even give out the tournament participation packs even though they have a whole bunch of them in a glass case right in the front instead they just did a cash only pricing The real issue and what made me make this low review is I actually try to use the pickup a card in store been through TCG player to save myself some shipping costs Unfortunately when I went in to pick in the card and pay they apparently made a flub up when entering the card in the system They ended up trying to search for the card for like 20 minutes and just had to go up to me and apologize and said they must have screwed up and that they would have to cancel my order That was very disappointing for me as someone who bought the card early in the week and they are only open in store Friday through Sunday in the afternoons and evenings. So basically waiting a week only to be told that they can't even properly save a single Digimon card basically lost all my motivation to go back to the store to both play Digimon and buy cards from there. This System probably works well for a card game they care more about like one piece or final Fantasy or maybe even vanguard If anyone is reading this and wants to find other Digimon locals You can go to table salt in Irvine which at least gives participation packs even when the attendance is low If you want locals that have decently high attendance on average You can go to card addiction in Anaheim on Friday evenings or go to psycho Turtle in Pico Rivera on Tuesdays Thursdays or Saturday evenings read more

When I walked into the store with my boyfriend, I noticed half of the people inside were not wearing masks which is unacceptable! I feel that the owner provides a negative or even lazy attitude of the store. The other workers there are nice and greet me when I had entered. From the times I've been there, the owner has consistently been too involved in his own actvities, i.e. with his friends I assume?, instead of aiding willing customers. My realization of this came to be when I planned to participate at a dbs tournament. The tournament was supposed to start at 2:30 and I had waited until 3 and still no word of the tournament. I shouldn't have waited so long to begin with but when I asked if there would be a tournament, the owner said it starts at 2:30pm. It was already 3pm and I obviously just wasted 30 minutes waiting for nothing so I had packed up my things and left. The store is spacious and I hoped to be a regular there but there should be some sort of announcement for newcomers if no tournament would be held. read more

This shop continues to impress me. Despite the COVID and not being able to play in-stores. The staff and the owner helps and meets all expectations and beyond. They provide links for all available online platforms to play your favorite TCG/CCG games (if available online), offer competitive prices, and you're able to approach them without any fear because you know that they'll help you. I visited this shop about two months ago when I first started playing Dragon Ball Super tcg. The staff was very friendly and really welcomed me and any questions I had about the game/scene. Since then, they have now moved to a larger location that is clean and spacious for large tournaments. Their DBS tournaments usually have 10-30 people with a wide range of skill level, but the players/judges are generally nice. In my opinion, this place attracts a large number of skilled players though. The vibe here is pretty chill, unless there's a huge tourney going on or something. In terms of pricing, this place offers competitive deals for singles/bulk cards. Highly recommend this place if you're interested in DBS. read more

The owner is a super fun and chill dude. I like playing here because my friends come and play and have fun. They just started doing yugioh again which is awesome and I'm glad that they do. The only concern I have is that if you have a set time for your store to be open please arrive at the time the store is suppose to be open or before to get work done. It just looks unprofessional and weird having players stand outside of the store waiting for it to open and it's not open on the time it says. I remember when he first opened the store he was so motivated and it was great to see the spark but now I feel it's slowly fading out. When I came here for a Cardfight Vanguard tournament the "owner" or "worker" made us wait an additional 40 minutes past the start time of the tournament for his 4 friends to show up. On top of that only 1 or 2 of them played in the tournament which had 15 people already waiting. I looked past this and went to a Sneak preview event here and the "limited playmats" were ONLY given out to the "owner's"/"workers" FRIENDS. I was completely baffled when each time someone was "randomly" picked it was one of their friends! They even gave 2 playmats to one of their friends at the end of the event! This shop doesn't care about new customers and only caters to their friends/locals. Never again will I commute 30 minutes to this shop. Very sad since this is the closest Cardfight Vanguard shop to my location, but beware if you decide to go there. read more

My brother and I have never played any card games before and we ended up at CGC and it was the highlight of our holiday. Not only did the staff go above and beyond to welcome us and help us learn the game we were trying to play, but the community there is absolutely amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly that they instantly make you feel at home and part of their group. Each time I left card game coliseum I left significantly happier than when I arrived. Absolutely amazing shop! Met one of the owners, Henry and he was so welcoming and inviting. Talked to us for a while about different card games. Wound up purchasing 2 pre-built Final Fantasy card decks and we played as soon as we got home. Great game and great recommendation. Henry gave us a promo deck for Dragonball Z and we can't wait to bust that open and learn too. We found them just from searching "card shops in the area" on Google. Great people, great shop. One of my favorite card shops to visit. The staff is very knowledgeable, the place is maintained very well, and the prices are fair and affordable. The owner is a very nice person, down to earth, and is willing to help and strike a deal with you. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Always seems dead there. Tournaments never really pop off. It's mostly the store's team hanging out and playing. The Chinese co owner doesn't really seem like he wants to be there or acknowledge you. Doesn't really welcome you. The white co owner is pretty mellow. The mexican owner is pretty chill. That owner is willing to help you. They have cards but they never really have any good singles for sale (good cards or high rarity) when my friends and I go. Not a lot of people show up so you really play test a lot. read more

Everyone at Card Game Coliseum is super helpful, they have a great selection of FFTCG, and the players at the shop are all super nice and friendly. The Final Fantasy prices are fair. There's a great broad range of players for Final Fantasy ranging from brand new to seasoned veteran. This is one of the better card shop in the OC. They are very friendly and great at helping developing card games but as well as willing to get any stock that you may need for you even if they do not have it in stock. They are a great place to buy, sell, and trade. The environment actually pertains to the true nature and way of trading card games. It is a great and relaxed environment to come and play. Their tourney are great and well balanced unlike other card shop in the area that rigs their tourney or turn people away with racism. They respect every player that walks in. The staff is great.
