Bought a certified-preowned Tucson from this location. I sort of got screwed over - the vehicle was decently priced but there was some sort of "issue" that lead the dealership to reach back out to me the day after I purchased the vehicle to come back in to sign a new contract for a new sale price - which was approximately 2k-3k more in price than the contract I signed the night before. On top of that, they sold the car to me with only 1 key - not very considerate. And altogether, the vehicle ended up being mostly unreliable due to a shaking/shudder during stops that two separate Hyundai dealerships "can't replicate" and that Hyundai corporate refuses to acknowledge. I wish I would have gone a different route when buying a car. Based on my experience, I don't plan on going back to purchase any others cars at this location, let alone with Hyundai, again. read more

I've had all the maintenance on my Genesis done at the Cardinale Way Hyundai store for 7 yrs. I took it there under warranty w/ a Bluetooth connectivity issue last year. They diagnosed it as a problem w/ my Samsung phone (not the car). So, I bought a new phone months later. The exact same problem remained. They are now admitting the problem is w/ the radio. But, they are refusing to fix b/c the car is no longer under warranty. I got totally screwed by their incorrect diagnosis (while the car was covered by the warranty) & their refusal to fix their mistake. I'm stunned they would treat a loyal customer this way. I wish I could leave 0 stars. When I first bought my car, I would have left 5, purchasing my car went great, because of course they would treat me well when taking $35k from me. But the second you're out the door they don't care about you anymore. After needing further assistance, and contacting both Sales & Services, because the used car I bought from them is defective, I have been presented with TERRIBLE customer service. From being ignored when trying to contact Chris B. (Sales Manager), to being tossed around and lied to throughout the Services department, I am actually appalled that customer service like this is allowed to exist in a workplace. While they may be pretending they are giving decent customer service (just because they did the bare minimum). I will never make a purchase here again, because I don't ever want to deal with any of these employees again. Management needs to take a serious look at how employees (all levels, managers - Mike V. & directors - Aran M. included) treat customers. Side note, not only did they drive my broken car 40 miles (after I had it towed there) potentially damaging it more, they returned my car to me with 5 miles to empty in the tank -- who does that?! that is not only RUDE, but unsafe. My husband took our sons' Azera in for a brake job. They replaced the brakes and although it was a longer than normal wait, we didn't mind as we wanted to make sure we had the dealer replace them since our teenage sons normally drive the car. Unfortunately, they put our family in danger by failing to tighten the calipers which ultimately caused the brake pad to fall off and brakes to fail. Luckily, my husband was driving the car and he was able to safely come to a stop in the center divider. This is not the first time this has happened to us at this dealership. They also failed to tighten the lug nuts on a wheel and I almost lost a tire in the fast lane on the freeway. I get that accidents happen, but twice is unacceptable. I am just grateful that no one was seriously injured or lost their lives. They did at least reimburse us for tow charges when we had the car towed back to them to fix it but I will Never visit this dealership again!! read more

Experience as my first time dealership buyer was pretty decent. It was less stress than I anticipated and overall left with a car that I'm happy with but financially iffy about. Made the purchase early this year 2019. I originally wanted a different vehicle but upon inspecting it I didn't like it. I walked around and saw a beautiful red Santa Fe and that's what I ended up buying. Daryl was a tremendous help. However I do not like this dealership's sales practice and I DEFINITELY FELT taken advantage of. The car has Fully packed features and they claimed it went through extensive inspection so it can be certified. The car was listed around 17k$ on their website so I was able to get capital one to finance me for that car with a decent apr. as we were "negotiating" the price Daryl had to keeping coming back and forth to get loans because capital one "denied" my loan. turns out Capital One denied my loan because the dealership was asking for 23k$ Loan for my car!!! Whaaat? Over 5 grand ??? SCAM! But it's also partially my fault because I fell for their "let's talk about your desired monthly payment" tactic. I went ahead and went straight to the manager's office to sign some documents and gave him cash down payment. I counted it atleast 5 times prior to coming to dealership. He counted it infront of me and it was short. He then glared at me and started to speak with a distrusting somewhat aggressive tone "You said theirs ****$ in here but it's missing 100$." I then recounted the cash slowly so he can see clearly. 2 of the 100$ bill was stuck together.. he then just laughed it off. By this time I was mortified and sick to my stomach. How could a manager force their employees to maximize profit and lie to customers THEN proceed to treat customers like crap? Fast forward to my first oil change. None of the air filters where changed even though it was suppose to be. Screws were MISSING in the engine bay. What is this?? It's like they half ass the inspection and claim it's fully inspected and CERTIFIED just to boost its value. Bottom line I LOVE my car. And despite the fact that I fell for CardinaleWay's claim of honesty to customers, this experience has reassured me that dealerships are just a protected class of scam. The service department is getting annoying stating my 2019 Hyundai Elantra needs certain maintenance done that is different from the Hyundai Elantra Quick Reference Guide trying to take advantage. For example transmission when in the Hyundai Elantra Quick Reference Guide it says transmission does not need to be serviced. They also change my car alert system from the 7,500 miles or 12 months that I set up for oil change according to the Hyundai Elantra Quick Reference Guide to 5,000 miles or 6 months. read more

In shock! So for the last 3 days I've been talking with Lavelle W. about a specific pre-owned Santa Fe off their website. He even gave me crap about not coming in yesterday. We even set up a time for today (at noon) with Dustin the sales manager who said the car would be ready at the front of the lot when I get there. We had talked so much, it was the car I wanted, so I even stopped to get the cashiers check and some cash on my way. When we get there, Lavelle was busy and going to have us wait. But then nicely gave us his time instead. He told us the car was getting "cleaned up". Turns out, the car was getting painted! Under a tree in the back lot, with paint washing out to the gutter. When I first came in I was LOOKING!! Just looking. I didn't know what kind of car I was looking for even or what I wanted. I was approached by a salesman named David Torres. He was nice at the beginning and I gave him the benefit of the doubt but the whole time I felt PUSHED like crazy. Which I get that's a salesman. They're after the money and not the customer. I've heard great things of Hyundai which is why I stopped by the first place and David mentioned to me how important customer service is but also mentioned a lot of the times how many times he's got a sale and kind of bragging bla bla. I kept telling him I had to go and pick up my kids but he insisted on crunching numbers for me. It took two hours just to hear back for someone and he knew he was in a pickle and that I had to go and was just in a rush for the sale. He would keep my ID AND MY KEYS for the longest just so I couldn't leave. I had asked him if this was going to effect my credit and he kept telling me no. I met with him twice!!!!! The first time was by myself for about 5 hours showing me different cars and also trying to find a payment plan. And a second time was with my children because he had forgot to give me my license back, so I obviously had to come back. And what happened... I was there again for another 4 more hours. His closer kept trying to get me to buy SOMETHING, anything! Each car he tried to make it so special but he is not a very good salesman and is not persuasive at all and says a lot of the same things on all cars. I was reading these reviews earlier too and seen someone else's review very similar to mine and I had messaged the person who did the review if the salesman was named David and sure enough it was!!! Such a dishonest company and wish I had a better salesman... I felt so cornered. And wish I NEVER stopped here in the first place. Now I'm stuck with the credit report on my credit until 2021!!!! If I can give a 0 star review I would! This place agrees to an offer and later rejects their own offer. I came in to this dealership to purchase a 2019 Hyundai Accent. As usual, I test drove the vehicle and was considering to purchase the vehicle. The salesman that was assisting me was "Darryl Young". We went inside to start negotiating The price of the vehicle. He gave me an offer of 15,945$, and I declined the offer. I told him that I would like to take the vehicle for 14000$ out the door. He said that the vehicle has been sitting i the lot for over 150 days, so he will check with his manager. I have to checking with his manager about my offer. He told me to write down on the paper that "I will BUY and DRIVE now for 14000$ with my signature "... and he would only give me this offer if I would pay with a check on the spot... I stood up and shook his hand, and took out my check to buy the vehicle. Darryl got very nervous and stated that he was not going to give me this offer.... I got very upset because we had a verbal agreement and I shook his head.. now that I was going to write a check for the vehicle he decided to back out on his offer. This place is a horrible place and are not at your best interest! I did reported them to the "better business bureau " regarding the deal they agreed too, but didn't want to sell. I do have a photo of our agreement and hopefully it downloads. If it doesn't please message and I can send it to you.
