Very clean, gets a little crowded at times, but it is expected. Byron is my favorite teacher, here at Studio City and Eagle Rock.

Unfortunately, one employee, Mason, repeatedly spoke to me in a way I found rude and unprofessional during class, publicly "correcting" me despite my using modifications that other instructors had explicitly approved due to health reasons. To avoid further issues, I stopped taking his classes. Outside of class, I asked Mason a simple question about baked goods he sells at the studio, and he ignored me entirely--looking away and not responding. After that interaction, the environment noticeably shifted. Staff who had previously been friendly stopped acknowledging basic greetings, avoided eye contact, and treated me differently than other clients. Sophie also participated in this behavior. I was only attempting basic politeness and engagement related to the practice. The behavior felt deliberate and exclusionary, not incidental. For example, when I reached 300 classes at this studio, no one asked me to sign the barre--despite that milestone being clearly tracked in the system. I had signed at 100 classes previously and went on to complete 50 more classes after reaching 300, yet it was never acknowledged. I was consistently polite and respectful. The change in treatment was noticeable and unexplained. I stayed longer than I should have because I needed consistency while ill, but the passive-aggressive exclusion continued. As an unambiguous Black woman in a predominantly white space, this experience felt like microaggressive ostracization rather than a misunderstanding. I contacted ownership when I left, but no meaningful action was taken. I'm sharing my experience so others don't encounter this kind of treatment during a vulnerable time in their lives.

The instructors I've taken have always mentioned modifications and making sure to listen to your body. Additionally, I was able to text Kat beforehand about what the parking situation is like (they're in a complex with Trader Joe's) and scheduling was very easy. For my first class, someone walked me through exactly what I would need and what to generally expect - there was no scrambling for weights or searching for a Pilates ball. They also told me that if I'm running late to class, I can call and they will set up a station for me! I also have a membership through one pass select, and they haven't treated me any differently than a "regular" member, which I so appreciate. Overall, I can't wait to continue my journey here and I highly recommend this studio.

There have definitely been periods when I've been on and off, especially during the pandemic or just because life was lifing, but I'm happy to see this studio still going strong after all these years. Jordan, the owner, is absolutely phenomenal, and there are several instructors and classes that I absolutely love and highly recommend. I really enjoy Jordan's hot yoga flow classes, and my other favorites include Jaimi (yes, we share the same name and spelling!), who teaches an excellent hot yoga sculpt class, and Manndola of DolaFit. If you take Manndola's class, come prepared and get your mind right because you are going to WORK! His classes are a great mix of cardio and strength training, and I've always walked out feeling like I can do anything. I also really enjoyed Ashby's classes and definitely miss taking them. There have been quite a few instructors who have come and gone over the years, and while I recommend some more than others, that's really just a matter of personal preference and instructor style. I love a challenging class, so difficulty isn't an issue for me--it's more about the overall energy and vibe of the instructor. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the classes can get packed, so I recommend getting there at a good time to find parking and get settled in. Parking can be tough at times, especially when classes are busy. After nearly eight years, I'm still happy to support Jordan and White Heat Yoga. It's great to see a local studio continue to thrive for so long, and if you're looking for hot yoga, sculpt, cardio, or strength-focused classes, I definitely recommend checking them out. You will not be disappointed!

Weightlifting and CrossFit would often leave me hurting for days and made it so hard to stay consistent. From my very first reformer class, Pilates felt completely different. I'm strengthening muscles I could never properly target before without pain, and I'm finally seeing and feeling changes in my body because I can be consistent. And Club Pilates itself makes the experience even better. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and encouraging, and the studio is such a beautiful, welcoming space. The music, cool AC, dim lighting, and calm atmosphere make the classes feel almost meditative while still challenging your body. I leave feeling stronger, relaxed, and accomplished instead of completely destroyed. It's honestly become my happy place and something I look forward to every day. I did hot8yoga for a year and it's really top of it's class. If you're into the whole "rise and…read moregrind" or influencer kind of mentality, you'll fit right in. The rooms are consistently hot, the hottest I've been to in my 10 years of practice, the instructors are amazing, the staff are friendly, the showers and bathrooms are clean. The entrance is not difficult to find, it's very obvious. Just give yourself extra time the first class. After a year, I decided to leave for a few reasons. It's too corporate. In their emails, they made it seem like I had to switch to monthly but it turns out I could have kept my old rate for the yearly cost without switching. Why do they offer so few 26&2 time slots in a hot yoga studio? It's too hot for me. Hot yoga, what else did I expect, right? Well, it's a funny thing to point out, but I felt like I didn't see improvement in my own abilities because the heat and humidity made me too flexible. And doing weights in this heat? What? Why? It seems like chasing the next trend. Parking felt like a hassle. It won't be an issue for you if you can walk here. You only get 2 hrs and have to pay after that. The issue is that if you do a 90 min class, and arrive early, and have to drive up to and back down from the 8th-9th floor (you have to park at the very top of the structure), then that leaves you very little time for recovery and showering/rinsing off. Definitely a top studio, definitely great instructors, staff, and showers. Parking isn't great and I wish they had more 26&2 options. It just wasn't for me.

If you love INTENSE workouts, microdosing pain for your greater fitness, and luxury feeling…read moreamenities - this place is for you. HOWEVER, Yoga 8 is not for the faint of heart or for folks who are just getting started. The energy here - from the staff, the rules, the parking - is serious. People here are friendly, but intense. The front desk folks are incredibly helpful and empathetic. I truly cannot give enough stars for the hard work they do. The place is spotless, they offer fresh towels and yoga mats, and their work is impeccable. Every teacher I've had is part coach, part preacher, part fitness instructor. If you value having someone yell motivational platitudes over the music while you're holding a squat, you'll enjoy this class. However, sometimes I do get triggered/overstimulated by how hot they keep their rooms and how intense every workout is. Sometimes I wished Yoga 8 could offer more onboarding/less intense options for people who are new to the studio/fitness journey. The main drawback is the parking. Never in my life have I needed to get two *different* validations from two *different locations* in order to park in the garage. You have to get validated by the machine on the 9th floor FIRST and then by the studio after. I do feel like this is a liability for the studio! The classes are really hard and sometimes I feel incredibly lightheaded after class. Requiring students to march up a precarious flight of stairs (you take the elevator to the 8th floor and then walk up from there to the 9th floor) after they've dehydrated themselves during class leaves their students in a slightly dangerous situation. I wish the studio owners could work out a better deal with their building.
