She explained possible causes and reasons for my issues and then she went over her approach to the problems she was about to take. I really like a respected the fact that she knew that working other areas may cause the problem area to loosen or stop hurting, a lot of people always think because you hurt in one place that, that place is what needs to be worked on, but the body is so intricate and super connected. After that assessment we got into the therapy and it was simply amazing. She worked on areas where multiple muscles connected with tendons and ligaments; areas no one else has ever really focused on and she ended up getting my muscles to release a lot of LONG lasting tension and even helped me with my Baker's Cyst, which that wasn't allowing me to straighten my leg out completely when it flares up and builds up fluid. My session was very thorough and nothing short of real life miracle work. It is amazing when such a knowledgeable person applies medical trainingloo with experience and the theoretics of the mind body connection. I've been to Neuro surgeons, acupuncturists, and plenty of massage therapists and I am not knocking their knowledge and what they taught me about my injuries/body thus far, but Nikki put it all together and figured out what the real culprit was. At the end she went above and beyond and showed me exercises to do daily to help strengthen and better prevent recurring problems. Thank you Nikki, I will continue to recommend her to any athletes and active people with frustrating injuries that hamper their training and may knock them off path for days, weeks, or even months at a time. This is a privately owned physical therapy office with two physical therapist as partners - Nancy, and Howard. Both are super experienced. I had to come here because I had a random neuromuscular injury and I came here for about six months because I found it so helpful . I primarily saw Nancy and her manual work is unmatched! I had a lot of locked up upper body muscle muscles, where I couldn't even lift my left arm all the way up. She did manual work massages in the areas that needed it to get the tissue to freeze up at every session and then would assign me physical therapy work in their gym. That was essential for my case. Prior to coming to this office, I had tried out another physical therapy office, I won't name any names, but I really dislike them and immediately stop going to them after the first session. On the entire hand at Orthosport, I stayed with them a little bit longer because I just enjoyed their service so much. And not to mention, they're such friendly and warm people. Not money grabbers at all. They want you to be able to improve and leave with skills to maintain your body and not have you come back unnecessarily. They accept different health insurances . My surgeon was concerned with my range of motion and was recommending that he perform a "Manipulation under anesthesia", something I did not want to have done. Joey set my curriculum to specifically address my range of motion and I'm happy to say that my surgeon was satisfied as well. I've even advanced to a point where I can do things I wasn't able to prior to the surgery. You can observe the focus on cleanliness. All the equipment is sanitized between patients. Above it all though, is the quality of character of the people at Aries. You get to know people after spending three hours a week with them. I went there twice a week for 8 weeks for my back and my shoulder and never improved. The therapists take care of two patients at the same time, and they are cleaning equipment and beds all the time so they are not focused on helping the patient, they are running and impatient. I ended going to the Weston Krupta center and began improving immediately. Beware of this place. You deserve better care.
