My original doctor unfortunately passed away and I was forced to choose a new provider while hospitalized for a minor emergency. Dr Socrates Kakoulides has been my specialist for approximately 2 years now and I highly recommend him and his Team of PA's. He gives his patients plenty of time in office which sometimes causes him to get behind schedule but I can live with that. I make appointments 1st thing in morning to help prevent a longer than acceptable wait.

We were in the competent hands of Dr Tom Nguyen (pronounced kind of like a long "wen", and definitely not An-Gu-Yen), whose empathic manner and surgical skill is simply excellent. After the surgery when we spoke with other people, we came to realize that not all hospitals and all doctors were able to perform the surgery as skillfully as Dr Nguyen and he is one of the top in his field. Through the week-long stay we came across many nurses and aids, and they are all very professional and nice. They always greet you, introduce themselves, and let you know what they will be doing. Some will do extra little things like sneaking us extra fruit or real sugar, or an extra blanket, for which we are truly grateful. Some are more skilled than the others, but overall they are pleasant and helpful. They also really listen when we have concerns, instead of brushing us off. From the pre-operation interview to the post-operation rehab, it's amazing how great the team is. Even the gentleman at the reception takes great pride in caring for the coffee machine! A hospital stay is never nice. The food is not great, even though someone comes in with a tablet and offers many choices. You cannot get a proper sleep as every few hours a nurse comes in for vitals and medication. But looking back, the staff is the bright spot of the whole ordeal.

At which time I was informed of some cancellation charges by the staff and that Doctor refused to keep me as patient and demanaded I pay all the charges due to cancellations even though I had requested rescheduling.
