Wrong information. I ended up in a private residential area. No phone number to call before visiting and the website is not working.

I called ahead to make sure they had time for the project today and they said "yes, just order online first and call back so we can prioritize it." I ordered it online and picked it up within two hours. Obviously if they're super busy this isn't an option, but they're enthusiasm and willingness to help me out today as so refreshing. I will be back to this location!

Not a bad place to get passport photos. Came in on a Sunday - there were some customers doing…read moreself-serve copies & no customers ahead of me at the counter. But only one employee was working (the other must have been on break because he came out later) - and he was on the phone with a customer for a good 15 minutes, without even looking up at me. I was determined to stay because I knew I was next (and would he really stay on the phone for 30 minutes?) - & because I'd gotten really bad passport photos done at the local Postal Annex - and UPS & AAA are closed on Sunday and I wanted to get this DONE (AAA had a really long line on Sat. & I knew it could be long if I tried again next week). Also my friend told me she got passport photos here and they came out well. So sure enough when the employee was done on the phone (wearied by the annoying customer who was doing way more of the talking), he did my passport photos quickly and they came out great. $16 is more than AAA charges, but less than Postal Annex and they came out beautifully. So 5 stars for my photos, 3.5 stars for the value, 1 star for the customer who kept the lone employee on the phone for 15 mins, and then you decide what I should give the employee who took great photos but didn't say hi once while I was the only one in line and waiting LOL.

I rarely experience excellent customer service at big box stores, but this Staples in Solana Beach…read moresurprised me! I had a last minute print job with special sizing, and was at the end of my rope trying to print from home. I came into the Solana Beach Staples store, frazzled and with very low expectations, but I shouldn't have been worried. I was greeted with a 'Welcome' and a friendly smile, and then Natalie got to work trying to understand my project. Turns out she not only understood what was needed, but got to work right away. She was so very patient with me and helpful. Needless to say, the printing project turned out a lot better than anything I could do at home. Are you pulling your hair out with a project? Go see Natalie at Solana Beach Staples. Thank you, Natalie, for your superior customer service! You made my day. I will be driving out of my way to visit this Staples store in the future.

She made numerous erroneous accusatory assumptions, and presumptions about the actions of customers both prior to and during their visit. It would be nearly impossible to find a worse agent of assistance. It's astonishing that she is permitted to interact with customers. Everyone else in the store was courteous, helpful, and actively interested in ensuring customers were being helped and were satisfied with their experience.

He took the time to walk me through different ways to send files and explained everything so clearly and patiently. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people. What stood out the most was his attitude. No matter how busy it got, he stayed calm, kind, and welcoming to everyone who walked in. He had a smile on his face the entire time and made each person feel taken care of. Raymond is a rare find--professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm-hearted. UPS is lucky to have him. I have tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple visits over an…read moreextended period, the experience is consistently disappointing. Considering this is a newer, spacious store in North County, there is very little excuse for how inefficient it is. Every time I have visited, there has been a long line, yet there is typically only one employee helping customers at the front while at least one or more employees remain in the back. It creates the impression that the front counter is chronically understaffed, even during busy periods. I frequently visit the UPS locations in Rancho Peñasquitos, Carmel Mountain, and Encinitas, and they are almost always quick, organized, and well staffed. This location stands out for all the wrong reasons. I have never had a visit here that did not involve an unnecessarily long wait, and the customer interactions often feel disorganized, as though the staff are still training. I will often delay my returns to avoid this location, despite it being one of the closest to me. Another frustrating difference is how rigid this store is about minor things that other UPS Stores handle without issue. For example, I have only encountered one other location that insisted on charging or making an issue out of taping an Amazon return box. Every other UPS Store I have used has handled situations like that without making it an unnecessary point of contention. It leaves the impression that customer service is simply not a priority here. Lastly, when one customer is taking an extended amount of time, it seems like common sense to open the second register for customers making quick drop-offs or Amazon returns instead of allowing the line to continue growing. The setup is there, but it rarely seems to be used. I have been patient and given this location plenty of chances to improve but the experience is remarkably consistent and unfortunately not in a good way. Something about the staffing, workflow, or management needs to change because this location falls well below the standard set by nearly every other UPS Store in the area.
